LOUD on Planet X for Android
I really want to love this game, but the actual rhythm part feels like it only works half the time. I'm missing notes without any sense of when I lost the beat, if I did at all. The timing is either overly strict or just busted. Great soundtrack, though.
Really disappointed, I tried this all the way at Pax East 2015 and the devs seemed really nice. But unfortunately the timing is completely wrong on the Android app. It makes the game barely playable since you have to constantly tap on the off beat. I really hope they fix this.
At first, I was getting frustrated because I wasn't tapping to the rhythm. It helps to put on headphones. For an indie game it's pretty solid and I hope it expands.
Bought this game because one of my favorite bands is in it but i cant even play because the game keeps crashing on me. The only thing i managed to play was the tutorial.
The demo level really doesn't give the best impression but once you get into the main game it's a whole lot of fun.
Very enjoyable rhythm game with a completely awesome music selection. Very worth checking.
._.
Overall, the game is pretty fun, but could use a couple of enhancements. What I definitely would like to see is an option to adjust timing delays. On my mobile phone, the timing is wonky, and I have to tap the screen on the off beats. Also, the song selection is pretty great, but I hope there is a mechanism in place for additional music in the future.
An insta-download for me due to several of my favourite bands being represented on the soundtrack, LOUD on Planet X is a polished rhythm game with killer music and addictive but challenging gameplay (maybe a bit too challenging perhaps?) that pretty much plays like a cross between Plants vs Zombies and Rock Band.
I love rhythm games and play a lot of them. This is one I want to love the art is great and the soundtrack rules but the timing delays are brutal. If there can be a lag adjustment incorporated it would change everything!
Sometimes shots don't register even if it's on the beat. Strange. Idea: link to spotify for the songs/artist from the selection page. I played just this afternoon at PAX, chose a pretty difficult song, and killed it. Had a blast listening to the great music while zapping goons. Nice guys too. Great job guys. Could use a few more features / unlockables but overall enjoy it. Fun time waster.
The app crashes after a few menues, and from the tutorial I played, the gameplay is buggy, with the beats not matching up to the music. I would hold off on purchasing until a patch or 2.
It's like guitar hero and plants vs zombies featuring your favorite artists (mines Lights) so much fun and worth every penny. I mean 6 dollars is an ice cap at tims. They are not asking for much! It seems to be a hit and miss for everyone. I've read that some have insane game breaking lag. I have a SG S5 and it runs very smoothly and is in total sync. Download at your own risk, hopefully they will fix it so everyone can enjoy it as much as I do!
On almost every song I've played on beat but get a miss registered until I start hitting just before the beat. Definitely needs some sort of calibration tool. But very great game when functioning correctly.
I love the style and soundtrack, but the game just doesn't work as intended. None of the tracks I played had the beat indicator match up with the actual beat of the song, making it unplayable. I tried with both speakers and headphones, neither of which improved the situation. I assume this is a hardware issue, as other people appear to have no problems, but it has made the game useless on my device. I hope the PC version is better, as I really do want to play this.
I really want to like this game, awesome music and always liked playing tower d games. That said the actual gameplay feels super off. Timing feel very off to the point that I need to ignore the beat of the song in order to do any damage. I can't think of anything besides echoing what others have said and having some kind of calibration tool.
I've played tons of rhythm games and I know a lot of these songs, but tapping out the beat doesn't feel right on most of them.
I backed this on Kickstarter and the game itself is great, but the Android version has a major timing problem (at least on my device)- tapping on the beat consistently does not register. This makes the game generally impossible to play.
The game doesn't work on Nexus 6p
Great soundtrack and artwork but can't play while timing is so far out. I have played plenty of rhythm games before without issue.

Looks great, sounds great, game play itself surprisingly poor considering how derivative it is.
Totally scrapped my review, because I've been playing all day, and I want to say that this is so close to being my favorite mobile game! The soundtrack and art is A+ but the rhythm/timing feels random and wrong. It's really holding it back. I really hope that it gets patched, because this game is so promising.
Good challange
Freaking awesome!!!!!
I'm a percussionist by nature and have been playing for many years and I just don't understand where you are supposed to get your rhythm from. It isn't the natural flow of the song. One of the tracks has the percussion playing in 4/4 hitting the bass drum every beat,if I tap at the same time as the bass drum the speak won't fire. The flashing border a) doesn't match up with the songs time signature b) doesn't indicate when you can fire. I want to like this game, I really do. But it just doesn't work.
Great music choices. But the connection from actual beat to what you tap is off and on fast songs that i know the beat to, it's way off, there should be something to sync between the two. Not all phones are alike. Calibrate and i will reinstall.
I wish it worked. I really do. But the timing is off. Making it pretty much unplayable for me
