Plants vs. Zombies

As faar as I remember I bought it in 2013. Free version was not available at that time. Plants vs Zombies was really one of the best puzzle game ever made for mobile and PC. Loved the game. But the new update seems to collect your personal identity data. You need to submit you age and takes the app must be given full permission to access your contacts, e-mail accounts, photos, videos. Please install the free version. This is probably not a shopping or messaging app. What does EA have do with it?

Retroactively added in app purchases that you will never be able to save up for by merely playing the game. They were designed in a way that u have to fork over money. Annoying as hell. I paid for the app, AND the pc version. Not willing to give them a single cent more....

Okay, so I was playing survival endless mode when suddenly, all that's left from my plants pool was a peashooter. I went back to the main menu and noticed that my progress has been reset. I can play the progress I had again but I want a refund on the money I spent to buy gold from my previous saved data. Please reply ASAP. I really love this game but please give me my gold back!

Unnecessary permission request = always 0 stars. Please explain why you need access. to the contacts contacts and to the storage. Still no way to play a game which I paid for. I paid for a game with complete different eula, so you changed the contract single sided. This is a very bad move.

Great game, but has a very big issue. After completing adventure mode, why does crazy Dave always pick 3 plants that you can't swap out? Really disappointing, it almost always picks ones I don't need. Wish there was a way to stop him doing that.

Used to love this game to bits on My Old Apple devices so just bought it it for my Samsung. Utterly pi**** off as before you can play, the game wants access to all your contacts! This is the only bad thing about Android. Utterly sickened.

It doesn't load I get a black screen every time I play. I can only enter my age and then it goes black. Tried re-downloding it several times but it doesn't work

Having bought, played, and very much enjoyed this game a few years ago, and then removed it from my phone. I went to install it again, an it will not now load - I get a screen asking me to confirm my age and agree to conditions, then I get a plain black screen which doesn't progress into anything. Is this because of updates, if so, then I should legally be allowed to reinstall the initial version which I'd purchased, please let me know how to do this.

HELLO!!!???? Anyone there??? This ia the third review I have left with no response! I was playing survival endless today and my phone died, after charging I went back into the game and all my progress was reset :@ my partners also has a user profile under my game and his progress is still there untouched. Can someone PLEASE respond? You are not answering ANYONE from what I can see, do I have to go direct to EA and report your incompetence!?

Bought this years ago, just fired it up again and now need to provide my age and full access to my contacts, photos and videos in order to play! Don't spend your money on this, buy a different tower defence game that EA haven't ruined!

I have obviously bought this game, and when I updated it a while ago it completely changed and I hated the layout, so I hoped uninstalling and reinstalling would fix my issue. It has done anything but fix my issue, now when I load up my game it comes to a black screen after the initial download and user terms and agreements all which is fine, but not my game. Fix it or refund me.

i was playing it fine last night, now it just force closes at loading screen. never had a paid app shut down on me like this -_- and to think i was so excited about playing it. now after reading the reviews im not even sure i wanna buy the minigames anymore

Played this game on pc when I was 10... Playing it on mobile when I am 17... No difference in the excitement I get in each level... Plus the challenge to unlock all the mini games by keeping your zen garden at work to collect coins is great... You never get bored

It is a pity , you purchase a game and then you need a connection...I guess there re plenty of because here and major forces that lead to continuously updates.

The game itself is good and pretty old. But the problem is that Developers aren't giving attention to their buyers, they just are very busy. I know that they don't create the best games, but they could care about their customers more.

This used to be my favourite game until you 'updated' it. Now its asking for my age and to access my contacts (why????) Absolutely no chance, didn't need it when I bought this game, not having it now. Feel ripped off.

I cannot open the game. It takes forever on the loading screen & I end up killing it. It used to load in a quarter of the time on my S2. I have an S7 now. Waste of money.

Wont load. Asks for my age then its just a black screen. It used to work when i initially downloaded it a few years ago but now i get nothing.

Upon downloading a pop-up appears that wants access to your contacts and photos! WHY?!?!?!? .... it won't let you proceed without accepting too. Uninstalled! Dodgy!!

The game won't run unless you give it access to your contacts and their details. Avoid games made by EA. They used to be good, but these days their games are no greater than the competition and are not worth the cost of dollars and privacy.

Was one of my favorite games on phone now I refuse to play. Why do you want access to my identity, photos and media all of a sudden?!? Adding this game to the deleted pile. Seriously, like what the f**k?

Numbers look like they are from windows 98. It is showing on survival that I have completed all the levels, and the cups, and got 66 flags on the endless survival, but they are locked?? And they won't open.. Whoever did this update was not thinking at all..definitely no testing. Was it thrown away cheaply as it is the first one?? DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE PEOPLE!!!

I used to love to play the game. Now it's just annoying. All my progress has disappeared, it asks me for my age then access to my contacts and photos. Let's make this clear you don't need my contacts, age or photos to run this game. And then it says I'm not authorised to play it. It's just ridiculous.

Asks for contact list access. Refuses to start if said access is denied by the user. I see NO legit reason a game would require this kind of access unless it intends to steal contacts info and resell it or use it for advertising purposes. Stay away from this shady app.

Why should I need to give this app access to my photos and contracts?????? I paid for the f***ing thing! I hate the fact that EA rapes gamers on a daily basis

Bought this game 3 years ago and now it doesn't work worked good for 3 years and now it's just a broken game please fix this shut and why when I pay for a game it becomes free a year later I'm over buying games on the phones

Pick up an old game you PAID for only to find it's turned into a spammy pile of EA faeces that requires permissions it never needed before. Too late for a refund, obviously. EA has perfected its bait-and-switch tactics.

Impossible to switch between left or right rotation. The game chose the right side, where I can't play with design of m'y tablet

Whenever I start the game I get a blackscreen and there's nothing that would fix it with restarting the phone and reinstalling, the only thing I have been able to do is enter my age for the terms and conditions when I downloaded it repeatedly

The 1st time my game progress reset like what happened? My Zen garden, all bought packs and coins .. Played all over again and after the update today, it was reset again .. like what's wrong with pvz app? Just today, my game's reset again .. my 1.95 million coins, my complete plants and achievements gone again and again and again .. back to zero lol! Oh they're shutting down ..

Should ever the occasion arise where I need to form a force of zombie killing plants in order to protect my house and my mental next door neighbour this game has truly prepared me for such events. Couldn't be happier I feel ready for any zombie related eventuality that may come to me in the future !!

A great game that I played on Win7, however this is quite buggy often hanging on loading. And adverts popping up once loaded, I might not mind but I did buy it. What more do you want EA? Game no longer works seems that lollipop (5.x) has issues that EA won't sort out. Save your money and don't purchase. It seems the latest update to fix the lollipop issue also makes the graphics very low quality.

Just updated this game on my samsung note tablet now it does not work any more. All I get is a black screen

The last update got rid of my progress but also annoyed at the vase breaker mini game.. whenever you break a vase and get a plant as soon as you click on it it plants it right there! This makes this mini game completely unplayable! I really enjoyed playing this before but now can't. What a waste of coins.

Not loading the game after recent update. The game was so better and nice game before this update. Better check before publishing to keep reputation!
