This app is fantastic and best app to learn chess because world's best player our dear Magnus Carlson is teaching us through this app
Hi. I think its a great training chess app and it would be better to add other languages too such as persian.
I like this app but please add new strategies free.
Sorry for 1 star now my problem is solved
This is the best way to learn chess free
It would be much better...if all lessons were offline...But still the sounds, overall game is superb..Thank u Sir☺
Fantastic support and you can learn a lot! Perfect app. Thanks!
Premium user here. The internal game Flight control doesn't make sense and is preventing to move a level further
i couldn't navigate trought the lesson, i will change my review when you guys fix tge bug.
Great and all, but with the coordinates puzzles it never asks about squares on the H-file
The challenges don't give you enough time to complete.
Page 11 on easy says "the the" this isn't why I put 4 stars. I just haven't had a chance to look at the game company yet
I LOVE chess but you have to pay to learn how to pay chess when all of it should be free i mean after all i am just starting im going to have a game of chess with some family soon and i was hoping it would teach me til it could no longer give me knowledge bit nooooo becouse I HAVE TO PAYYYYY IM NOT AS OLD AS YOU THINK IM USING MY DADS ACCOUNT I JUST WANNA LAERN now if you dont want a one star rating from me then make it free plaese
OK guys as far as the overall experience with the app was good I could use it all the time to progress my skill at playing chess just like anybody i.e. any practice 1 possible flaw or idea that I've found which may shift Play Magnus app's popularity is to make a free version of the Magnus Trainer app with only the free content intending this app to be a demo and add more daily activities and challenges to keep them on your app longer which of course will always end prompting the user to download Premium Magnus which requires an initial $5.00 purchase to begin downloading Magnus Trainer Premium enabling user full access to all the content app offers them. Followed by subscription payments made monthly at the set price of $5. Might be dumb idea but food for thought I know Runescape had their free server separated from Members only servers also at $5 / mo. People may be able to understand more clearly that if they want the full app to get way better skills on the board if they want lessons of this caliber then it requires subscriptions to support your hard working team. The haters will always hate... Keep it up good app
It doesn't work. The farthest I can get is the text "im going to help you learn" blah blah blah. I cant access the lesson itself
I thought it was an OK app. It's rather disappointing that you need to enter a paid subscription to do certain lessons that could help you out plenty. I thought the purpose of this app was to help novice chess player such as myself get better at chess, but the membership, as well some of the microtransactions make me think otherwise.
It's weird and annoying to put person face that i don't even know who it is everywhere. The time to play is to short make no time to think for a move. The game wanna player make a move without thinking to pass through the time. Not good to learn chess skill
Oh wow.. You have got to be kidding me..play limits and an energy system? On the small amount of free content available?? On a chess exercise game with a recurring subscription fee to fully unlock?? Every single thing about this game is designed to be such a ridiculous money grab I actually laughed. It does have a very nice interface but there are a lot of completely free or one time purchase alternatives that are every bit as good.. Definitely don't waste your time and money on this..
The concept of this app is very good. The interface is easy to use, the games are creative, and there is potential to train and learn. The lessons are high class and very instructive. The app is entertaining and balances the lessons from the practice. On the downside, I think there needs to be more free content, perhaps adding more overall content will help. Also, there are just a handful of puzzles with inaccurate solutions including a motif puzzle where it suggested adding pressure to a pin instead of immediatly mating the king. I also think the airplane game is notably more difficult to pass vs the other games. 4 suggestions 1. Make a page where you can accsess just the games. 2. Add more of a variety of games 3. Add some way to play and analyse chess games played by yourself (maybe add the magnus computer at a handful of different levels and use smart analysis to explain tactical mistakes) 4. Offer feedback for incorrect, but logical moves in the training sessions instead of immediatly showing the solution
Good game overall. Alot of helpful information, my main gripe being that in some of the puzzles, it forces you to take a disadvantageous movement. Such as forcing you to use a discovered attack against a knight rather than an open rook. So, probably not the app you want to go to for technical advancement. But if strategy is your weakness, you could learn alot from the app.
Beautiful
Covers everything within the game of chess, great app!
Brilliant app, love the teaching method, learning a lot
This aap is Awesome
Good,
Super
Nice UI! and organised Content
There is just a word for it: Perfect
It doesn't work. Nothing is opening.
Really awesome, recommended for those who want to improve their skills
The app is not working on my phone whenever i try to take a course it does not give me any prompt to follow
I think the lessons are very well made and on par or better than other online or computer-guided systems. The pricing is also quite fair since the lessons are well structured and organized which will keep new players on a good path rather than sending them on a search and expose them to material they aren't ready for. Having said that, I do have an issue with the fluidity/accuracy of movement. I often find myself having to attempt a move twice as the piece will snap back to its origin as if my move wasn't legal or didn't register. I do not have this problem with other chess apps. I also would like to see an option to change the board colors. Playing on anything other than traditional chess board colors is distracting to me. This last bit is more of a suggestion than a gripe. The ability to import a PGN and have the app use engine analysis to identify mistakes and suggest lessons would be excellent. Perhaps it could even use data from the Play Magnus app if someone is also a user of that.
Best forever???????? Arabic language please
