Bang Bang Racing THD

This game was a bit rough when it was first released. I originally returned for a refund. But Play box listened to the feedback and made the corrections. I decided to download the demo to see if it was better, and wow, they really worked everything out. You gotta give them credit for that. I purchased the full game again. Great game!

Great game and very nicely made. However need some improvements. First, it is difficult to play as you'll need to pretty much memorize the tracks to win. The game needs an onscreen map. In lieu of a map maybe some arrows for upcoming corners or else allow for pulling back the camera as an option. Hence the 4 stars and not 5

Finally figured out the randow force close after the finish... I switched open feint on in the online settings and kept internet connection. I finished all championships like this. Finally... The f1s in the last championship are awesome!!! Ill rate 5 stars whebn the bug is fixed.

Like everyone is saying, the controls are beyond terrible.... please add different options.. also i encountered a few graphical glitches, which was to be expected considering its a new game. Refunded until new controls get added.

Nice graphics, but the worst controls I have ever seen. Literally impossible to drive the car. Who thought this was a good control system? Seriously?? Uninstalled and refunded. Also the game completely froze on the first lap of the first race I attempted. Moto Xoom

Bang Bang Racing could also use a race again feature with the ability to change cars after finishing a single race instead of going back to the main menu. Its been a long time from the last update so I doubt that this game will get updated any more. But I hope it does, it's a fantastic game. Update to my review. I cannot make it to the last race in the Apex World Trophy Championships, the game keeps crashing back to my home screen. I hope they fix this and update it with a few addons.

Until the handling is improved greatly will not play as is currently one of the most frustrating games I've played on the nexus. Compared to the XBox and PC versions s painful to play and regretting the decision to wait an hour to play it after purchasing which makes me ineligible for a refund. Avoid.

This game looks amazing, however the player and AI opponents will often find them selves stuck on the wall (the AI will not reverse and some control methods don't include reverse) will Hopefully this can be fixed soon with a minor update. Then and only then is it worth buying.

I have to agree in regards to the poor controls for this game. For the split screen controls, if you crash into a wall you cannot reverse because it is auto acceleration. Crazy!! Great graphics and game play but poor controls....sort it out come on!

Keep crashing every time it loads up. Need fix. Still Not Working Come On Gave It A Update Something So It Can Play. Do not get this game don't work. when it do will get back to you.

This is a very promising game and I know it could be fantastic, but the control options are awful. Virtual controls are a terrible idea in racing games. Come on guys, the ideal control mechanism should be obvious. Add support for the accelerometer which works well in these types of games. Just look to Reckless Racing as proof.

This could have been great. Looks very nice but is unplayable. The only control method that works is full control. If you can avoid getting stuck on the walls the computer opponents certainly can't.

I crash and can't figure out how to reset my car or reverse. So its kind of broken? Mini motor gas amazing controls...they need to learn from that developer.

Runs well on my G2x. Of course, the gameplay is really only hindered by the control scheme. I'm sure it will get better with time like a fine wine.

Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended. The only complaint is about opponents cars that tend to get stuck on the walls a bit too much, and hitting a barrel gets you off the ground for way too long.

Loving the game so far on the Transformer but the controls definitely are lacking. A steering wheel control rather than directional pad would be preferred. At minimum I would want a unidirectional like Gun Bros. or Samurai II:Revenge. Looking forward to future updates!

apparently a great game, which can't be played with a real joypad. so effectively useless for me.

The game itself is incredibly fun and addictive, the frame rate stays MOSTLY smooth, there are some slowdowns occasionally, but infrequently. Graphics are really nice, the cartoony effect makes it really accessible to anyone. Would like to see a small mini-map of the track and my position on it so i can predict cornering etc. Keep working to optimise the software for the hardware too, so as to keep frame rate consistent. But otherwise, recommended buy!

I am completely perplexed by all the positive reviews for this game. I have wanted to play the game since the day it was released, but was only able to play when I recently got a Tegra 3 device. Now I'm upset I wasted the $4 on this game. The graphics are poor, the game has an extremely limited amount of cars, and if a car crashes into a wall it can't reverse from it and so is stuck there the whole race. The game is completely unenjoyable.

Graphics are awesome and certainly lives up to that billing. The control scheme is cute but it definitely takes some getting used to. Without using a matt screen protector to make it smoother to slid the finger around, it can get rather uncomfortable with the friction between finger and screen. I would like to suggest to the developer to include a regular button control scheme for people who prefer that. Put that in place and this easily becomes a 5* game.

A lot of fun on my ASUS Transformer. The gameplay is smooth and pleasing graphically, the driving experience is arcade-esk although enabling full control over the vehicle can allow for some sweet cornering. This game is in serious need of an ingame minimap as the fixed camera angle makes lining up for turns difficult in higher class racecars, and although the whacky CPUs seem to love pelting themselves into barriers I enjoy the option to follow the tarmac.

Game is a fun concept with great graphics But, it crashes every few minutes and will not respond to user input and will need to be force closed. The map Japan will glitch uncontrollably during championship mode and is unplayable. Controls can be iffy at times, but the developers make a few options available to you to suit your needs and screen. The AI for the bots can be off at times as they pile up in corners often times trapping you against a wall. A heads up map would be nice.

What is this? Came to the first lap, crashed into the wall along with all the other AI cars and we are just stuck there. You can't move, reset the car, reverse or anything. Started another game and the exact same thing happened again. What a waste of money. Would have been better throwing the cash in the bin!

I downloaded this game when it first came out.the devs have listened and addressed many of the mistakes. Controls have greatly improved since.

This is a awesome racing game, is difficult at first but it gets fun, it would be even better if it had online multiplayer, maybe in the near future? *hinthint*

GFX are cute, but the controls are no good. Too bad they don't seem to support an external controller or the Asus Prime, that would help alot I think.

I'd give 5 stars if it didn't force close on the 3rd championship, love the game, love the devs, and all the updates. Definate buy, I'm sure an update is on the way to fix stability

worked the first time I ran it, but I hated the default control scheme so I quit. A few days later I found out that the control was changeable so I figured I would try again. Just freezes on startup now. I uninstalled and reinstalled and got it to start a race with a different control scheme and it worked for about 3 seconds until it locked up. Thanks to Googles horrible return policy now I cant get my money back...

This game is great fun and the graphics are great, the new control options are great, much variety THANKS FOR THE UPDATE!

Let's face it - this was meant to be played on a 10" Tegra 2 tablet and it is excellent. on my Xoom it is manic. I do feel limited by only one method of control as I see most of the other Reviewers are but I just had a note from Playbox Games saying "We'll be updating the game soon with more features so stay in touch". Those of you that are hesitating, buy the game and enjoy and pester Playbox for an "update soon"

Looks Fantastic, sounds great and plays really well, people complain about control, use the 4th setting as I found it very easy to use.

Lot of thought has gone in to this game from the graphics (superb cartoon style) to game play (which is ultra smooth). I've marked it down one star as it's difficult to learn, you've no idea when to turn until you're familiar with the track, directional arrows would be good. Also, separate sound controls so I can turn music down and effects up would complete this game.

Overhead in a racing game? Makes it very difficult to play. Suspect many of the control issues would go away if a more conventional driver view was available. Not that impressed with the graphics (compare for example Riptide which shows what these things can do) - seems more designed for pre-tegra devices.. which would be fine but its marked THD and pushed on the tegra zone, so there are certain expectations. Ultimately, I just found it not fun. Normally I love driving games, but this didn't engage me.

Would be good if it offered more than one camera setting.

This game shows promise. I thought the controls would be kinda messy judging from the reviews but they really aren't bad at all. The biggest problem that I noticed is that the opponents will crash and pile up and won't recover. They'll just sit there for the rest of the race. This lowers the challenge and fun of the game and is my reason for 3 stars. Fix this and it should be an awesome game.

Have to keep exiting the game to play again because you cannot get out of a corner or exit that track within the game, played it 6 times and am already sick of it. Did they not know about these problems before releasing it.

Not very happy that I bought the "Special Introductory Price" on the day it came out. Especially because it didn't even work on my tablet back then. Don't plan on buying anymore Playbox games in the future.

I'm getting connection error 405 now and online stats aren't working... whatever was done to openfeint is now broken :(

The overall feel of this game is good however I am finding the controls to be very frustrating. I appreciate the effort of the new joystick option but I have not been able complete 1 lap using it. Split screen is still the best option. Also I am unable to navigate around the corners as they just appear suddenly as you approach them. Crash Crash Racing would have been a better title.
