Super Space Slayer 2

Did you see the trailer? 10/10 It's what we in the business like to call a mastahpiece.

Picked this up at i58 and promptly completed it at i58 too. This is a wonderful little shmup that doesn't take itself too seriously. Levels are extremely short and snappy, so you can whip it out (gently now) and blast through a few missions whenever you have a spare minute. It's got a neat little story with repeatable levels, and an endless hyperspace mode to keep you going after the main campaign is over. Charming little game, lovingly recommended.

2 pounds to unlock the whole game? Hell yes! Loved every second, wish there was more gameplay, chapters or story lines maybe..? One massive complaint is the tutorial sometimes forces you to activate your shield, meaning you have to die due to later on events, maybe a turn off option? I lost a 100 streak on hyperspace because it forced me to block at a pointless time

A lot like the first one, SS2 has the same basic gameplay and goofy story. The missions are a bit more varied than I remember from the original, and you can equip defensive items, but mostly it's a slightly polished version of the original. Sometimes the touch controls don't do exactly what you want and sometimes it feels like your success is based on the random layout of the levels, but other than that it's pretty fun! Give it a shot!

A good balance between shooting, dodging and deflecting.
