Voyage to Farland for Android
Beware, game is not for the faint of heart. It is a classic Roguelike in terms of challenge, which means you will die a lot. There are lots of tricks to learn though that make the game easier, but fun and rewarding. Potential buyers with note 5 and s6 samsung phones, there is a fairly large graphical glitch rendering the game unplayable. Will update review when/if the issue is fixed with future updates. Developer has been fantastic in his response to my issue earlier, great service and passionate.
I can't find them. Beaten everything but the 'vial trials' can't find the entrance?
Holy crap, my initial review was harsh! But the comfortable controls make a huge difference, I'll definitely be playing this while I wait for my Valkerie Crusade vitality to refill. I played waaaaay too much Shiren on DS, so I'll probably do the same here.
I want to stab this game in the face and I can't stop playing it. Everything you like about Shiren and the main dungeon is a 30 minute run. DO IT.
Easily one of the best roguelike's on the Android market! Edit: Recent update added a way more comfortable control scheme, with the D-pad in the lower left corner, and the dash in the lower right corner. Plus the new content.
This is a really cool game, similar to one of my favorite games ever, Shiren the Wanderer. But as other people have already said, the button layout and graphics need changing. Big time. The control pad should be on the bottom left, not the top left. The buttons on the bottom right are stretched out of the correct aspect ratio and look weird. Some of the graphics are really blurry. Basically, with a complete interface overhaul and cleaner graphics it would probably be my favorite game for Android.
Great little rogue-like and a perfect introduction to the genre for those who have not played this style of game before. Developer is extremely responsive and quickly fixed the multi-touch issue I had on ICS.
This game is excellent for its style. Other reviewers need to realize this is an old school roguelike style game, not Diablo 3. It's supposed to look old. The controls work fine on my phone and the game is fun.
Great game in serious need of a professional artist. Some sprites have solid colors, others are a mess of ugly gradients and blurs (the Tinbots, for example.) Also some areas have a grid (which I actually prefer for this sort of game) and other areas do not. The starting village also has a horrible layout which you will loathe navigating, despite its small size. My tablet allows multi touch but the multi touch controls don't work (thankfully there's a second button layout.) Finally the "miss" and "level-up" sounds seem more like place holders than final sounds. I hope we see improvement, the gameplay is 5-star!
The reviews for this were great so gave it a go. The control stick being at the top of the screen put me off very quickly. Very poor layout design. Means your thumb goes over the screen to move around. Seriously hindering the viewing area. Made the game unplayable for me.
Dev stands behind his work and listens to feedback. Bonus star. Some issues with sleep state and could use a loading screen or indicator that the dev
Would be better with a few difficulty options...and hit floor 9 only to be ambushed by like 10 mobs...felt cheap
Fun and addictive game, but terribly unbalanced... Death in 3rd dungeon because no food was spawned at all... isn't really fun...
Very hard. Very addictive. Great fun.
Good action and control. Addictive and fun.
