About My Snake and Ladder
'Snakes and ladders' game, classics and always fun to play, isn’t it? In the old days, playing this game typically means playing with only one piece of game-board with a fixed configuration of snakes and ladders on it over and over again... It proved to be quite frustrating at times. Creating your own physical game-board may, of course, take this limitation out, but that entails a willingness to endure a hardship of going through a process of drawing, cutting, gluing, etc (all typical steps involved in making a physical game-board). Unfortunately, not everyone has the time and patience to do this. Even when one does, he/she may still not have the sufficient artistry to create a game-board that has a decency in appearance.
Ever been discouraged by this limitation while you were playing 'snakes and ladders' game? Expect no more now, because 'My Snake & Ladder' comes to the rescue.
First of all, 'My Snake & Ladder' allows you to build your own game-board (the digital one, of course) on your phone/tablet easily. Finger gymnastics is all you need.
Secondly, 'My Snake & Ladder' introduces some new rules and features into the traditional 'snakes and ladders' game which make it more fun and challenging to play than the traditional one. They are the 'health scoring system' and the 'bonus-and-trap signs'.
*Health Scoring System
'My Snake & Ladder' employs a health scoring system, wherein each of the players and the tiles (the boxes from which the game-board is composed of) are colored with one of the six provided colors, so that whenever a player lands on a tile, the player’s health will be increased or decreased depending on whether the player’s color is in agreement with the tile’s color or not. If a player’s health score has been dropped to zero, the player will have to restart his journey back from the first tile again. Hideous, right? :-)
*Bonus and Trap Signs
'My Snake & Ladder' provides you with four signs, each of which would give a different effect on the player that lands on it. They are;
- 'Double Step' sign, would double the dice-roll outcome of a player who rolls his dice on top of it.
- 'Move Backward' sign, would make a player who begins his movement from this sign to move in backward direction.
- 'Swap' sign, would make a player that lands on it to swap his position with another player which is randomly selected by the computer. If you ever land on this sign, just hope that you’ll be swapped with a player in the foremost position, not the contrary :-).
- 'Punishment' sign, would require a player that lands on it to perform a punishment which is randomly chosen from a collection of punishment that you made in advance. There is a dedicated place in the game settings to create this collection of punishment (unleash your creativity here :-)).
That’s it.. Too few you say? Don’t worry, there are more to come in the future!
Now, are you ready to give 'snakes and ladders' game one more chance? You'd better be ready to give more than one... :-)
