About Pyramid Pairs
Pyramid Pairs.
This game is designed for one player and should act as a tool for the mind (You could say it’s a workout for the mind.)
Introduction.
Long ago, in the days time forgot, pharaohs would play this game to exercise their mind to improve concentration.
The game is played with two identical sets of “Scarab Stones” each set of stones consists of 55 stones with coloured inserts - Ruby, Gold, Green, Blue and Sand coloured. That’s eleven stones of each colour (Five sets of eleven). Engraved on the coloured inserts are eleven different symbols (hieroglyphs).
The object of the game is to find the matching pairs.
When you play the game you will see 18 identical pairs stones, face up, in a six by six grid. You have until the countdown timer (displayed at the top of the screen) gets to zero. To memorize as many location of the stone as you can.
When the timer reaches zero the stones will flip over, and you have to find as many pairs as you can.
On level one you only have to find pairs by the colour of the inserts, and you don’t have to remember the symbols (hieroglyphs) on the stones.
On level two you only have to find pairs by the symbols (hieroglyphs) on the stones and not the colour or shape of the inserts.
However, on level three or above you have to find the pairs by both, symbols (hieroglyphs) on the stones and the shape and colour of the inserts.
For every correct pair you find you are rewarded a gold coin, and when you have 5 or more gold coins a SHOW button will appear at the top right of the screen. When you tap the show button the stones will flip face up for a short period of time before flipping back over. However, when you tap the SHOW button it will cost you 4 gold coins.
If you guess the locations incorrectly the black bar at the top of the screen will decrease and the amount of incorrect guesses will be displayed as a number.
The round (level) ends when you find all the 18 pairs or when you guess the locations incorrectly 36 times, at which point, any coins collected in that round are banked.
If you found all 18 pairs you move on to the next level. However, if not, you lose one of your four lives and replay the same level.
Hope you enjoy playing the game.
Good luck.
