It struck me as being easily 5 stars but for the lack of any special features and the occasional discomfort, such as having to press on the checker twice to move it and the absence of an option to switch the screen to landscape. Nevertheless, this should not prevent you from downloading this awesome classic.

Difficulty slider makes no sense. There seems to be no difficulty between "this is my first game ever", and "I've been playing checkers for a long time now." If this was fixed it would be a fun game to play or at least if they offered to give hints to help teach players like me to get better. Until then, it gets boring quickly.

What?? I had the level diffucluty set on easy and I lost in TEN moves... The computer crosses over 7 of my pices at a time. And it was not easy the computer had 20 wins in 10 minuets and it took me almost an hour to get ONLY ONE win on "Easy....!!!!!"

I hate that double jumps have a window that pops up and tells the person I'm playing they have another move to make. If they don't know that's my advantage. To pick a level there is a volume type button option, why there can't just be easy medium or hard is beyond me. But hey, it's free so I'll still give it 3 stars.

If you are going to create a free game that's great. But don't let the entire world be able to throw up pop up after pop up ad. It is annoying when playing this game then it freezes then here comes the pop up ads. I uninstalled this game once before because of it, please fix or I will uninstall forever next time.

This game is completely unplayable unless you're on Wi-Fi with an adblock software/app. The intrusive ads will not go away otherwise, especially if you're on 4G rendering this app useless as a game unless you want to be forced to download all of the developer's games.

I am keeping this aap for now but sometimes it does not respond. It is a good way to challenge yourself though. It is very fun and shows you the places to go so if u are learning checkers this is a good aap to help.

If I am depressed I set the difficulty level to easy so I win. If I am feeling my oats I set the difficulty level to just slightly better than my best. Great way to pass time. Great ice breaker when next to someone for a long time, like on a bus trip.

The only way it would get a 5 star rating from me is if you could play against real people from all over the world. Theres just something dull about playing the computer.

The ads pop up so frequently and redirect you to store pages a million times, disrupting the game play and causing you to have to slam the back button 20 times every minute just to get back to the game. It used to be much better than this.

I understand a free game has to make money but this game will frequently pop an ad in the middle of the game and then it will open the play store app connected to the ad automatically without me pressing anything. Then I have to close the game and play store and restart to continue my game...I'm tired of it...it's getting installed

Its mostly a good app, but it will occasionally randomly say someone has won and black out the screen so you have no idea how someone won. Its annoying in the extreme

First of all the "YES" and "NO" buttons are in different spots when asking if you want to declare a draw or double jump. Second of all it sometimes says the computer player looses before they loose all their pieces/can't move. I mean yea it's a for sure win at that point but I would rather finish the game then have the computer player forfeit ya know... Also is there any way to make the computer player harder then the hardest lvl? It's to easy ):

um... My comment is... I like this game. I really really do. Because I mean when we are in the car that's all I really like to do. And it also helped me in checkers. A lot. I have to say the truth. I seriously sucked at checkers before I got this game. So this helped me. Thank you whoever made this game. Whatever.(whoever says this is not entertaining, u dont know what entertaining is!)

I totally dis agree with Rachel Herr. Its a really good game and it works well. The game only turned off itsself once sice I am playing. The only thing is tjat its hard but you need to have a brain for this game. It is one of the best games I ever played. I really think YOU SHOULD DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!!!!!!!!

This is a solid app. It is great if you're bored or are looking for a challenge. You can play with yourself or another player and you can choose who goes first. I would highly recommend this game to anyone of all ages to keep them busy I'm to have fun with(the app.)

I have this on my iPad and it is great... just put it on my Galaxy Tab A and I can't see the whole checker board. The last row of red is hidden under the score/ad strip at the bottom. :(

It's not that bad of an app, but the computer player is VERY easy to beat (even on the hardest difficulty). If you're good at checkers, you'll always win. Quit using this app because it is just too easy. I need true competition and I will give 5 stars.

Y'all should add chess to this app so it could just be one app and when I play 1player that computer try to !make sure he wins .The people that made this game must be from another country because that was s not how I play checkers.Anyway I liked the game

I was starting at a low level single player. And kept winning. So I put it maxed out level. Thinking what the heck right. And I was dominating. The computer had 3 king I had 5 and about to have 2 more....The the message:Free checkers has stopped.... I think you guys put that in there on purpose. Best comp. brain looses to mine. You should fix the AI to except Defeat.

Makes me click yes or no every time I get a double jump. On what planet of checkers can decide to not jump once jumping and once more what kind of moron wouldn't take a double or triple jump?

This game runs exactly how you think a normal game of checkers would go. Difficulty setting can be tricky, lowest or a "dumb friend" and highest for a "computer UI" feeling. Good practice games.

Loaded it on to my Tablet for a bit of fun but the Board was partly covered by Ads all the time. Uninstalled now waste of time needs a lot more work don't bother with it

The AI gets really challenging when set to the highest difficulty. But it always has the same exact game plan. I get how putting certain pieces in certain spots can strengthen your game and help you win, but the AI always makes the same moves. This is especially true at the start of every match. Meaning if you figure out the right game plan to go with, you can win every time; the AI won't adapt. It's still a very smart AI though.

The Computer Is Allowed All The Jumps Possible But The Player Is Only Allowed One Jump...Or A Double If The Computer Ask Do You Want To Make Additional Jumps...

Rules are not stated anywhere, and neither are instructions (how to do multiple jumps?), hardest level is too easy, menu buttons are tiny on my device, re-do not working as expected.

Best version of checkers there is. Movement is fluid and responsive. I tried other checkers programs before this one and moving checker pieces were a bear. Slightest mis-touch generated actions that were unintended - very irritating. But, this one has no such problems.

Play another move buttons are way to small and don't work ever. Start buttons and exit buttons are way to small. Good game but makes for a not very fun game when you can only make one move when two are available to make, you have to close the app down in order for it to work.

Sound gets stuck and cannot be turned off unless game is reinstalled. Also I hate when computer ends the game and declares the winner. Sometimes in the middle of interesting game.

Works properly but the problem with the "computer" being able to predict moves is that it can tell like 20+ moves away when it's going to lose, meanwhile, I had no clue I was winning. As someone who loves a good game, I absolutely hate it that when I'm losing, it plays until my last piece is gone meanwhile, when I'm winning, more than half of both side's pieces remain. Although I'm declared the winner, it doesn't feel right because it looks like a forfeit. This happens at least 60% of the time when I "win".

It would've been perfect it there wasnt so many flippin adds. seriously it glitches evry few seconds and then when u try to ex out it takes you to the playstore and its FREAKING annoying, DONT GET THIS GAME! IM UNINSTALLING RN

It's OK but it gets boring for me because there's no challenge for me in this game . Make it harder please I need challenge

We've played several times on my tablet. Now the bottom row of checkers is cut off, there's an ad covering it! Cannot get rid of the ad. Before that problem, loved the game. Fun to play with my kids. Please fix :)

The game is ok, it's just below the screen, there is way too many advertisements and I can't concentrate unless I see one every 5 to 10 seconds.

The rules and object of the game explained would be nice. I don't understand some of the wins sometimes. It makes no sense when there are so many plays left on the board by both teams.

The game will end and call one person or another the winner for no reason. I had only lossed one and had a king. The computer had lost a few and had no king and no place to go. Since it was blocked in from my other pieces my king still had free movement and it called the computer the winner. It's done this several times

Its a nice game and the AI is pretty cool but for some reason I can't seem to find a back button to exit the game itself but still a good game but medium level difficulty is qiute challenging for myself but overall a fun game to play.
