Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee for Android
Have not installed on my Android LG G4 phone yet but on my Nividia Shield Android TV the game plays great. Phone to play but with some adult content might not be the best for young children. Again I never really played the game back on the Xbox but have really enjoyed it on Android TV.
Used to play all the Oddworld games as a kid. I was shocked when I realised that this was a full port. The game works great, controls are fantastic for an android port. Honestly much more than I expected. I always found this was a hard game to control originally so obviously this game can be trying at times but if you love the series it's very much worth it. Full length game you can get lost in for many many hours. I highly recommend.
I try to load saved game, it loads to a frozen screen, then shuts down. Can't even make progress in the game because it keeps force closing. Please help. Galaxy S7 Edge. This game may also cause damage to the speaker on your mobile device. I JUST started playing the game again after several months, and within 15 mins, volume not even turned all the way up, my speaker now has that "torn sounding rattle". Be careful with this game guys.
It's okay, for .99 Cents it's a great way to waste some time. It's not like the old Abe Game, but, I'm using a Tablet too. I'd recommend getting the game. It's certainly ranked within one of the better games out there. Fairly easy to learn. Plenty of instruction along the journey, within the game. Some very funny scenes, like throwing Abe's Buddies over the rocks and into "Pit Portals". You've got to use your sense, ,while playing, figure out certain things. Most are common sense though, stuff the game has already taught you. On the scale of 1 out of 10? I'd rate this a strong 7+ for game play, an 8+ for the graphic, a solid 9 for overall fun and a Big Fat 10 for the cost. Buy it, play it and have fun... Great Job Guys. Thanks.
The controls suck way too hard. I was excited to get to play a game in a classic series that I somehow missed when it was new but the controls are so awkward and hypersensitive that the game is unplayable in my opinion. The game requires precision movement but does not give you the precision control to achieve it. I lost my patience for these kinds of games long ago. Sigh. I may take another stab at it before I delete it. Hate to waste two bucks.
I'm playing it on a Viking Pro tablet (I figured it wouldn't work since I only payed $80 for the tablet at Walmart) and I was very surprised. It ran smoothly with no problems! Very happy since this was one of my favorite games growing up
Yes!!!! I have been looking for ages for this game and i can play it on my phone?! I cried when i started it up. I'm 19 and been gaming since i was 3. This is my all time favorite game hands down. Graphics look really good, controls are useable after you get used to them, load screens aren't long....i just can't sing this things praises enough. Id you played the game on xbox, you know what to look forward to.
Best Port Game on Android ever
On screen controls are a bit too clumsy but it's still fun. Can't see myself making it through later levels though. Wouldn't the first two odd world games be much better suited to mobile?
Nice visuals but impossible to control. Can't even get past the training, trying to walk or run along edges of cliffs is no less than a frustratingly annoying experience.
Works really well. Controls are pretty good, considering it's a gamepad game translated to touchscreen controls. Controlling your character while running is a tad frustrating but other that that, pretty well laid out. Graphics are great. Definitely an upgrade from the original Xbox version. One minor annoyance is that the damn fuzzles' bouncing sound is way too loud. I have to turn the volume down just for those parts. Especially because it's very high-pitched. Other than that, thank you for bringing this game to Android!
I loved this game when I was younger and was shocked that it was on the deal of the week and thought it would be a half hearted attempt to put on to mobile but it wasn't it's amazing well done guys you've impressed the he'll out of me :)
I have a budget table (with an All winner processor), so I generally resign myself to not being able to play games that are of any size, I bought his as it was 10p at the time and if it didn't work it wouldn't have been a huge loss. To my delight it works amazingly well, no lag, no glitches thus far, looks amazing, sounds great. Recommend if you are at all a fan of the Oddworld games.
Just like I remember from the original XBox, Quirky dark humor and all! Platforming sections are tedious with touch controls, but it hasn't outweighed the fun I'm having (yet)!
The best thing about this game is the cloud saves between Android devices, so I can start playing on my tablet and then continue on my note 5 when I'm not at home. Great game and worth the cash.
A great game with performance issues. Controls are sadly a bit loose using the touchscreen. Would recommend a controller. Framerate issues and stuttering also ruin the experience on my LG G4
I was really looking forward to this game, but as soon as I start to move around the controls go buggy, merging and streaking across the screen making it all but impossible to play. Looking at reviews by other people with the same phone it looks like they are having the same problem. Would love it if you could fix this bug.
I am so glad this is on Android now!! This is by far my favorite game. It's so funny and fun to play. One of the few games that I can't put down. Highly recommend it. Please come out with a third version of the game!!!!!
Great game. One problem though. When I switch the controls to left hand the talk buttons are off the left hand side of the screen so I can't use them. Can you fix that please?
But it wont keep any of my saved games. I'll save, exit the game and then come back in and its there. Come back in again the next time I'm ready to play and it has disappeared. Happened 3 times. I give up. Sorry, would have loved to have rated it a 5 but i cant if I'm unable to save games.
Both controls need a sensitivity slider as i found it difficult to play like it is. Playing in sneek mode and moving slowly alleviates some of the frustration of falling off a ledge and the trail repeatedly.
I love the oddworld games, never did play this one so its great to have a chance on my phone. Though so far I cant see ANY numbers, some walls/doors are invisible and not showing up amd the same with fuzzles. Using a galaxy s3 and have to do a LOT of guess work. Hope these bugs can get fixed so I can have a better idea of what I am doing other than that this gets a big thumbs up
I love Oddworld a lot honestly! But theres a few problems. There is missing textures, it doesn't show the little fuzzys cause they look like dots and some walls are invisible, and it doesn't show the numbers on the board for the security or how much fuzzys there are. I think all of that is a huge problem in the game, I love this game a lot but please fix these problems. And one more thing is that the sound quality is a bit blurry. But other than that I love this game. Thank you. And I'm using an HTC

This games takes me way back, and when I saw it available for my phone I couldn't pass it up. It plays Great, and I couldn't me more happy. Oh how I've missed you Oddworld. Controls do become a problem further on.
Beautiful graphics and takes me right back to my younger years, only one gripe is the camera it doesn't try to correct it's self enough when you turn around and it keeps moving to flat horizon view when you try to get an overhead view too!
The first level is just black? I dont know what is going on, but the pause menu is fine... the loading screens are working. The level starts... i can run walk or sneak... but i cant see anything. Dont know what's going on.
Great port, though my only concern is that there are no graphical settings to adjust. The performance is good on my device but it's not perfect. A few slowdowns here and there. Overall great game though.
I little bit laggy at times, some slow down, works pretty good on the galaxy note 4. Controls can be clunky, & camera angles can get aggravating, but still a good game, thankfully it's not more than $4.99.
Excellent port to Android too, I play on my phone and cast it to my TV. I'm in Oddworld Heaven. Save often, it does crash here and there, but probably do to its my PHONE and I'm CASTING
You guys really need to install that Google save to email data thingy because saving it on the game on its own will kill me if I lose the data. Do you know how much thought and effort this game requires in order to save all of your team to get a super sick alternate ending? I hope you do. Please fix xxx!
Nice visuals but impossible to control. Can't even get past the training, trying to walk or run along edges of cliffs is no less than a frustratingly annoying experience.
I love this game I played it forever ago when it first came out on cancel. Then when I saw it on Google Play I was like awesome. But I was disappointed at first the lighting was bad and it was not good. And now it's great and amazing.
This game has been one of my favorites and im astounded it has made its way into a mobile device. My only problem with it is that there is a glitch. The game wont tell me how many spooves I have. When I push the cross button everything works just not the numbers that are suppose to appear. Also when I go to exchange spooves to open a door it doesnt tell me how many I need, or how many gave. Plz fix ^-^ great game
During my game play the game had crashed. Having already known that I had quick saved on the fuel level I should have been able to log back in and carry on playing from my quick save. However I had come back on to only realize that all my progress had been lost all the way through to the Fluoride tanks. Please help me get this fuel stage back as I am feeling frustrated with how much progress I have lost. You can even check my achievements as proof for me losing my stage.
Loved this game. Absorbing, charming, at times frustrating, excellent graphics. Movement control suboptimal on a phone, but you get used to it. BUT - half way through, lots of progress and saved games, fire it up today and they've all gone. Nothing. Cloud save had never worked, so I had given up on that long before. Now I'm left with starting again, sigh, or giving up. If I start again that will say a lot for the game, but as it stands losing significant progress has rendered it unplayable. 2 stars
Black screen and hard reset needed after starting the game. Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 (intel x5-z8500)
I've been playing Oddworld game ever since they first came out! Love the adventure there smart and witty and rude all at the same time!
Very good, not as well done as Oddworld: Strangers Wrath. This is more like Mario/Sonic etc. Re-rated it in that it gets better as you progress

This brings back memories! I loved this game then and I love it now. Playing on a galaxy s7 edge and for the most part can see everything fine - sometimes it's a little dark. It's true that the controls are kind of wonky but honestly, it's not that different from how I remember it being when I had a controller. I almost didn't download it bc of what people said about the controls and it was totally worth it. Can we get other Oddworld titles??? :D
