Mage Gauntlet

Better than average. When I look for mobile games, I look for something that I can actually finish. Something with an ending. Most mobile titles are freemium trash just waiting for you to drop another dollar here and there to continue paying onto them. This title is an actual game. One with fantastic sprites. Responsive controls. Clever achievements that touch on nostalgia. If you like classic zelda games or just appreciate a well made game that you can actually beat, then this is for you. 10 out of 10. Would bang.

Fantastic game. Honestly, one of the best RPGs available for android with high quality sprite work, refined gameplay that works incredibly well with your touch screen, interesting story, good dialogue and humour all rolled into one fairly priced package. If you haven't downloaded this yet and happen to be an RPG fan, what are you waiting for!? If you end up loving this, check out Wayward Souls afterwards. It's more roguelike than Mage Gauntlet but, if you love the gameplay here, Souls is the next destination. Keep making games like this Noodle!

Is there any chance of including native controller support? Like you did in Wayward Souls? I love playing WS with the gamepad, it would be great to be able to do it in MG as well :) Otherwise, MG is an awesome title, one of the gems around here.

A good effort in a genre full of bunk games. Colorful and plenty of smashy smash, minor iap's don't seem to be essential. Touch controls are better than average. Will kill a 30 minute bus ride no sweat! Has stood up well, 5 months later and still playing.

Absolutely outstanding game. I can't recommend this enough. Pixel art is fantastic, writing is genuinely funny, and the controls are extremely tight and responsive. The achievements are quick but satisfying to unlock, and the notes hidden throughout each level are interesting to read and often times had me laughing out loud. I found myself replaying levels numerous times so I could collect everything. Story is VERY well done, beginning as your standard fantasy quest, but quickly turns out to be much, much more. I was pleasantly surprised as it started to take a very, very dark and legitimately disturbing and creepy turn toward the end (I'm looking at you, Homunculus Bunker). Worth every single cent, definitely pick this up, along with its spiritual successor, Wayward Souls. Great work guys!

Amazing 8bit graphics, no in app purchases, and plenty of content for a mobile RPG? There's not much more you can ask for in this well priced and amazing package. I would recommend this to anyone who does their fair share of mobile gaming. You won't be disappointed with this game.

This is one of the best games for RGP + extensive story with its own twist much like Diablo. Couldn't stop playing, really recommend this game! Loved it

This game is the bomb! I played Wayward Souls, couldn't get enough of it and still waiting for the paladin update so I downLoaded this through other peoples recommendation. This game mechanics and design are exactly the same as Wayward Souls, barring a tiny differenCe in UI and the enemies while being eXaCtly same aRe a little harder. The main character Lexi is adorable, and the music is very well done as usual. And serious creDit to whoever wrote thr dialogues because they were hilarious gave me huge chuckles and didn't feel cheesy at all. I hope there is going to be a Sequel to this, and man noodlecAke should serious look into making a huge ARPG like Diablo or torchlight becauSe you guys are a tAlented as bunch! One thing i feel u guys can improve on are custoMization of characters. For exMple the hats may have contributed to stats etc... And there should more uNique rewards incentives for us to discover seCret areas.

This is the true mobile rpg i have been looking for. I love the story and contols. I highly recommended buying this and i will be purchasing Wayward Souls after i beat this. Thank you for being the diamond in the rough among all these "casual" rpg mobile games.

4.5 stars! This is a great game. It is a throwback to the snes era and easy to pick up and play. Loved it, sadly, their sequel is not as good.

One of the best RPGs on Android! Great controls, cool graphics, leveling system and nice loot. All the elements for a RPG. Just need to have option to use health when you choose and need to be able to access items menu in active game. Not major problems though.

Simply put, if you want a SNES era quality rpg, here you go. Second only to Wayward Souls, the spiritual successor.

Enjoyable game well worth the price. Only question is how do I save my progress? Do I have to clear a level for it to save what I've done? Still, a wonderful game that controls perfectly on phones. 16bit arpg from the 90s meets mobile platform. Love it.

Still a great game years after the initial release. Prepare to spend countless hours if you go after every achievement!

I've always impressed by noodle cake games by making incredible games and bought this game on sale for $1 and worth its price. The game is fun, controls could be better and keep it up, guys!

Would be 10/10 if it had the same controller support as wayward souls. Using the touchscreen controls is a huge pain.

Honestly this game is a jewl in the sea of trash, it shines, not brightly but is enough for some to seek interest, those interested won't be disapointed. This is a story well made and controls that were well forged and thought out. The level design has tons of secrets and the characters will make you laugh at times. This is a game that showed how good an android game can be!

I'm am using a Samsung Galaxy S4. The game is not installing. It just gives me an error notice after the download bar reaches full. Attempted to download it using different networks and even using data. Tempted to ask for a refund but hoping someone can help get it to work. EDIT: Finally got it to work. SD card was the conflict.

Really enjoyable where ur protagonist is a cute chick who loves breaking things. The levels r immersive, beautiful and quite challenging as u progress further in the game. The magic can be life saving at times. The learning curve is gentle. Playing levels n getting a 3 star feels really rewarding. On the whole a gem of a game. U have done a great job developers n its my money well spent. kudos n keep up the good work. Five stars from me :)

The newest versions of mage gauntlet and wayward souls break nvidia shield gamepad mapper functionality. They don't allow the long press of the start button to open the mapper or the volume button press. It works in every other game. And with mage gauntlet having no native controller support the game is now unplayable. Please fix this as soon as humanly possible so this can go back to a 5 star rating where it belongs

Thanks for making a game that isnt an ad riddled waste of time with no heart in it. From what ive played the mechanics are unique the graphics are colorful and artfully rendered, it reminds me of an snes game in a genuine way.

It won't let me install. I just want to play the game. It keeps starting the download then giving me an error message. I keep trouble shooting it to no avail.....

Good but not great. It's not really set up like a Zelda game, so I think that the comparison is off, but still a good value.

This is quite a fun game, it's the first mobile game that I've played in a while that I've latched onto, and wanted to keep playing whenever I could. It has a similar style to those older Legend of Zelda games, but with a more exciting feel to it. It also has a good sense of humour with the dialogue and notes in it, which is kind of like Magicka 1 and 2.

This game is an absolute joy to play. The creators clearly have much respect for the players of their games. Perfectly scratches that itch for classic gaming.

Rocketcat is the one developer that does action gaming on mobile exceptionally well. They create systems that encourage mastery, where timing and positioning matter and you're not just mashing a button. Mage Gauntlet is full of graphical and storytelling charm, with deep gameplay to back it up. Worth its price many times over.

This game is like a love letter to zelda/secret of mana/demon's crest. Really captures the 16 bit arpg vibe. The controls are GREAT. Pacing, storytelling, the music and SFX (which really remind me of Demon's Crest), just everything. Worth way more than 2 bucks.

I love this game ! It has a old school style that is really fun and addictive. The game runs really smoothly without any problems. It has in application purchasing that doesn't cost a arm and a leg and you really don't have to buy anything to play the game. If you like RPG games even a little bit please don't miss out on this great game!!!!

One of the first games I compulsively completed all of the achievements for. Super fun, well designed, great game play.

Pretty fun game. I dig the soundtrack, the character is adorable, and the secrets I'm this one are immense. Look everywhere. And yes to the hats. All the hats.
