Pixoban for Android

Definitely the best sokoban game on Android. It's fun, lighthearted, and genuinely challenging. The only (an arguably BIG) problem with the game is its controls. You need to tap towards where you need your little dude to go, Diablo-style. This normally wouldn't be a problem, except the range is limited to a 5-6 square radius from the little dude, which means the "control radius" is constantly shifting. This is bad control design. Two things end up happening: 1) You tap an area where you would expect it would register movement, and your little dude just stands there. 2) You tap a diagonal area expecting the little dude to move in one direction, and he moves in another. The best (IMHO) way to fix this, would be to assign static tapping areas, on the outer regions of the screen. Your thumbs would then (practically) never get in the way, and the little dude becomes much easier to control. I hope this gets addressed, in the near future, as I really enjoy playing this, when the control isn't getting in the way.
...who wants to play a game where they have to cover the screen with their hand 90% of the time? Read, can't see the screen. It looks like people have been clamoring for a D-Pad for a while now, but obviously the developer doesn't care to add one. Too bad; it would actually be fun if they did, and 5 stars too.
A+ I love it no buyer's remorse here.
I've tried this on both my Xperia S with 4.1.2 and my Xperia ZR with 4.4.2 and I encountered the same problems on both devices. After about 10 or 12 levels the level select screen seems to lock me from all levels but the first and if I complete it again I sometimes get access to the first 35 levels again or it just freezes on the menu. It's a shame as I do like the design of the game and the progression of levels, though I also find the controls unintuitive, preferring swipe or dpad controls.
This is a super cute game, but it shouldn't require me to keep going online to validate my license. I'm traveling internationally, and having to keep using minutes for this is expensive and uncool.
Why not static dpad?? With that it is 4 stars. Without it is just too frustrating.
I'm a big fan of puzzle games and have to say this is definitely one of the better ones out there! Well balanced learning curve, nicely polished gameplay, controls and graphics and HATS!! What more could you ask for :-)
Fantastic game. I can't recommend it enough. Controls are better now, as all you need to do is press "in-line" with the character. Support indie game developers and buy fantastic games like this.

Pixoban is easily the best sokoban game on android. The graphics are wicked, and it is just fun to play. AND you unlock hats just by playing! HATS! Gotta love this one.
