Tower Fortress

Great game, easy to pick up and play but incredibly difficult to master. It has tight controls so when you lose it never feels cheap, it's always your fault for losing. The game reminds me of Metroid and the double jump spin dash thing is straight out of sonic. One of the best games on Android

Wow, overall this game is amazing. Not a lot of mobile games capture that feeling of being interested and wanting to come back for more and eventually beating the game, but this one does it right. The graphics are retro and modern at the same time to create a feel of nostalgia while still being modern enough not to feel too old. The controls are great, and the game play is amazing. In a lot of ways, it functions just like a Mega Man game, but for mobile.

As all ways nitrome gives us pretty sprites and this time, gameplay to keep me playing. Suggestions sometimes when spiky jumping the whole game slows and fps drops, also add a multiplayer mode tingy ☺️☺️ Edit 1: Please change sprite for the sui ts i mean its hard but the inpact is great. Also the lazer does do nothing if you already have penetration ???????????? thanks

Awesome game. Great controls for an action game on mobile and difficulty seems pretty fair as well. Also have to give props to the devs for responding to the bitter one word reviews by asking for more details, nice to see you try get actual feedback and make the game better. Definitely WOULD NOT say this game is pay to win, ads for an extra life are fair and totally welcome if you ask me. I always use them, especially if the game is well made. Gotta give a little spare change to the devs!

I really like this game and have been having a lot of fun with it so far. But i have a couple complaints. First, I think that there needs to be some kind of info thing in the game so that you can see what all of the items do, for example, i got the armor that starts with hard boots, but i dont know what they do and it would be nice if there was something in game that said what all of the items do. My second complaint is that i have been able to drop through the ledges that you can go up through, which is good, but i cant do it consistantly and i cant figure out what controls you need to input to be able to do that consistantly, so if you could fix that that would be great.

What an amazing game, I have almost no gripes with it at all. Only two things I wish there was more power ups and I wish I could stop being killed by them damn frogs. Excellent game, one of the best I've played on the app store. If metriod, mega man and sonic had a baby, it would be this game.

Loved it! It feels like playing an old school Metroid game, what with the Arm canon and the chainsaw attack. Like others have suggested, new weapons and bosses would be nice. Maybe some more variety to suits too. Keep up the good work!

I really like this game I feel like it's good enough to at least pay a small amount as a switch or PC game. The only issues I have is that there's no landscape mode, I feel the controls would be better for me at least if this was an option, and the other little issue is sometimes there's bad framerate and it's very disorienting to have such a slowdown. Overall this game is one of the best on mobile you guys knock it out of the park with this.

It's good but it would be epic if you had different modes like multiplayer mode. And just for future reference, as in any game more weapons and monsters, because you can never have enough weapons and monsters!

Needs landscape view and better controls, also would buy straight out for 4.99 but momma didn't raise a fool. Lives are linked to coins, they disappear if you don't grab them fast enough and each time you die it's either watch an ad, pay an ever increasing amount of coins or surprise surprise spend money on a perishable commodity. Could've gotten $5 from me but instead I'm uninstalling :/

If you like those type of games then this game is for you. Personally I liked the idea and the game it self. But I found it really boring without giving me any good reason to keep playing it! Great time killer tho!

The game is amazing. But i am having this problem with the 10000 gems character. This is so annoying. I have been playing for weeks just trying to get the 10000-gems character for the 3×gems, then i am surprised to see that it works just like the first character. No ×3 or any other things, just 1 hp and thats it... Please fix this problem. Your game is one-of-a-kind.

This game is everything I've been looking for. The only thing that's wrong with it is there needs to be a landscape mode. It's awkward to play the game with the buttons so close. PLEASE PUT A LANDSCAPE MODE then this game will actually be perfect and you will have my 5 stars.

Tower Fortress was exceptional, if a little short. If you've come for something that takes pateince, you've come to the wrong place, because its quick, action-oriented gameplay will definitely keep you on your toes. Its easy to fall into a nice flow; shooting and spinning never gets old. If I may give a few suggestions, I think the amount of ads should be toned down a little. They get monotonous when you just want to keep on playing. Perhaps the game could be made longer, as well, with more areas and stuff to do once you've beaten the final boss. A few more weapon types would be great, also. Other than that, you've got a great game here. Good job, devs.

Finally, a game where you win with your skill... not with your cash. You lose because you suck, not because you didn't pay for a limited time offer of 2x lives and 5x damage dealt. Fun, simple, easy to play but difficult to master. Also reminds me a lot of Metroid and Sonic.

I've read a few of these reviews, and I know that if anyone has trouble killing the first boss and complain about it, then they are complaining about a fundamental aspect of the game's mechanics. The game calls itself a rogue-lite, so why are you complaining that the game is difficult? You downloaded the game and played it, you knew what you were going to get. Also, great game, the controls could use a little work, maybe a mode to bolster replayability could be implemented

Another hit from Nitrome. Its similar to Downwell, but going up, with a splash of Nuclear Throne. Difficulty is right up there too. Can't wait for more content if at all, specifically more room variation for added replay value.

I love this game. One of Nitrome's best in my opinion. The rewards for grinding is actually really good and makes for mkre intense gameplay but keeps it simple for less experienced players. My literal only PROBLEM with the game is that sometimes one button will be held down while im not touching the screen and it really messes up the control of the character. It happens with any of the buttons. The only way fto fix it is by pressing the stuck button and any other button at the same time but it's probably killed you by then

It's hard to obtain gems and it gets harder because gem disappears. You can't even go down to get them if they fall.

My phone died after beating the second boss. When I charged it I found that all my progress overall was deleted. I really only cared about Cash, Re-gen, and the shotgun guy. Is there any way I could get them back? Other than that Im loving the game! Multiplayer would be nice, but it's not needed for this game to be fun.

The chameleon skin is misleading it says i can choose colour but i can only 'choose' colour from the colours of my unlocked characters... Anyways im uninstalling... Its fun for a few days only

This game is great, and the sprite work is amazing. The only thing that is bad about it is the horizontal controls which are extremely uncomfortable if u hav big hands like me. Nitrome plssss fix this and make a custom controls option because I reallly wanna get into this game

Absolutely astounding. Fun game but the difficulty is a bit high on this one. Very fin and i wish the difrent suits had unique sprites and more upgrades like your first jump is all ways a spike jump or rapid fire. Best Mobile game in a long time.

You know how appreciative nitrome is by the amount of exclamation points they add. Haha seriously im not one to give my opinion or review much but this game really is amazing. I love the references an little inspired bits you guys mixed in this beautiful sprite game. i do hope maybe to see more weapons an such added.

Amazing game! Only two problems for me. the invasive ads is the first. I happily paid the steep price of 5 dollars to remove them, but until I did that, those 30 second full screen ads really took a lot of the experience away sometimes. My second is less problematic, Ive got 19 suits unlocked but I'm missing the achievements that go along with that. No biggie, just thought you guys should know. Aside from those things this game is flawless, great job devs! Edit: Just beat the game for the first time! Didnt get the achievements again though.. Great ending! I hope you guys make more modes or new stories or something, I'm in love with you game ????

Old skool kool. This is a cartridge classic in the making. The controls work perfectly. You lose because you suck. It doesn't feel like an ad bait rigged app. I wasn't prompted or bribed to write this either.

I like this game a lot! Fun to play , the graphics are cute and the soundtrack is well done. Other than that I hate the ads.... I would purchase this game to not watching any of these ads :D

The only thing that bothers me is that white line above the control keys. Please fix it. And btw GREAT time killer!

The first stage loads and there is nowhere to go. No enemies. No blocks. Going left or right causes my character to fall off the stage. I haven't even been able to do anything. What is this game, I want to play it, so bad. FIX THIS!!

Liked the game a lot, but I think there are a couple flaws that hinder progress. The most blatant of these being the keys getting "stuck" when several inputs are given at the same time. This WILL make you run into enemies, use up all your ammo or just put you in generally bad situations, especially when it happens during a boss battle. Otherwise it's kinda grindy, but that's to be expected. Overall it's a really fun game, I just wish that keys wouldn't stuck ^^

App crashes immediately on starting on Google Pixel 1. Was able to play when turning my phone to airplane mode, otherwise did not work. Was really enjoying it, but can't keep it in airplane mode forever.

It remembers me of old nitrome games like toxic and snot put , nice downwell adaptation , just in this one , you go up , didnt really like the gamepaly though , maybe Im too picky? Oh well , its good enough

Absolutely love the game. There aren't enough mobile games out there that are this challenging and still fun to play consistently. And the variety of characters weapons and upgrades keep it from feeling repetitive. Only problem I've found is that I find quite a few upgrades negate the 5x bonus spin damage of the super sonic character which can complicate things in later levels

Another great game by nitrome! The way the game works is very similar to "Downwell' Controls are a little bit annoying... but art, sound and gameplay are to the usual high standard you expect in a game by these devs. Been a fan since 8-Bit doves was released! On a side note, and only if you fancy it.... give us a job!

Overall a great game.Very addicting and fun. My only complaint is that there is no way to tell where the ghosts will spawn in the library. I have lost way too many lives ro ghosts spawning on top of me.

I would love if you could switch weapons, and even do some sort of multiplayer type thing. Keep up the good work!

awolsome game but the controlls are a bit awkward and you should add a suit that you can use that makes u invincible for 5-7 secs. I know it might be op but make the suits debuffs 3 hp and make it expensive.

I think it is a great game and I love how it has a retro feeling and is an adventure of joy. I gotta say it is a lot more challenging than the picture shows. I was playing scrolling through the guys I was able to get but had my eye on recoil which is fairly expensive. I accidentally pressed the unlock button for someone while trying to switch. My finger was still down when I realized my mistake. I thought if I moved my finger and released, I wouldn't buy like many other games. NOPE. I bought it and lost over 1200 gems. Please change.

It'd an awesome game. It's making me go to sleep late which is a problem but shows how much i like this game. Only problem is frame rate will drop at times but other than that it's alot of fun

This game is so much fun. It's such a good time waster but I think they need to add different models for the outfits rather than just re-colours. Multiplayer would be sooo good. Frogs are a bit op though ????Overall it's really good and addictive!
