this game has sooo much potential, but the controls are holding it back! I think the game would be better if you could move yourself manually and if you could jump higher. most of the enemy's you have to get REALLY close to in order to jump over them, that's why having a bigger jump would be better. and if you could move the character with some simple arrow keys the game would be much easier to play! also, the canons are to op. they move to quickly much like the other mobs in the game to jump over. PLEASE FIX and I'll add some more stars

The stiff and unforgiving controls really clash with the permadeath, resulting in frustrating gameplay... which is a shame! I really really like the style and the graphics, but the game is horribly frustrating. And especially with Leap Day around, this gameplay seems unnecessary. It's a shame, but I hope to see that style and that dang adorable witch again in some other game!

Music stops after minute of gameplay or so... Please fix it, make it longer, change or in worst case loop, just not without. Also suggestion: i havent played the whole game but are there levels in this game? If not, you can add more levels not to be repetative and different music with every level.

The monochromatic art on the Google Play store had me excited for a Harry Potter-style adventure, but "Magic Mansion" is nothing like that. You presumably enter the magic mansion, but apart from your witch character, nothing is magical about the building. It looks more like a creature-infested office building where fun dies. You climb the endless building, jumping over various objects and creatures, but nowhere is magic involved. I had hopes for magic duels, intricate platforming, and maybe a story, but no.

I'm surprised this didn't get the fame Flappy Bird had. I mean, the formula is there, simple art design, seemingly impossible feats, and quick retry button (albeit with a possibility of continue at the expense of in game currency or ads) Really though, those guys who played Flappy Bird should play this better more complicated version of it XD and the art is definitely better too!

Part of me loves the overall presentation of this game. The other part hates this frustrating gameplay. If reminds me of Moon Patrol for Atari 2600, but worse: the bounding boxes seem weird, and the split-second precision can't be achieved on touch screens.

So originally i tried to download it on my ipad. It got to the aet and setting screen thing then crashed. After i tried to download it on my phone and it did the same thing. Im pretty disapointed i was looking forward to playing the game.

There's no tutorial, the controls and timing of the attacks make you lose on purpose. But the design is so cute... This could've been such a fun game.

A lovely black and white great looking game together with one life harsh twitch gameplay means that after just a few short goes, it's time to uninstall.

I love this game. It's very pretty and I love that the layout changes slightly each time you die. The only major problem I'm having is that the ladder glitches. When this happens my character just keeps climbing straight up until I close the app. This causes a high score that I can not beat, taking a lot of the fun out of the game.

When I saw this game I said "hey this game looks good" untill I got into the game and did not like what I played.First, once you get to the title screen and tap once you get immediately thrown into the game.It would have been nice if it had at least a tutorial before but nope.When I first played I was just confused on what I was doing or what I was supposed to do.Also the game is to unforgiving.If you hit anything it will almost always lead to death.The music is fine but the game itself could be better.

If you don't take it to seriously, it's not so bad to lose. And it helps you walk away without wasting too much time.

i love nitrome games, but that game crashs all the time, and sometimes it doesn't open and the music stops sometimes too, if you fix that I'll reinstall it

Love the art and overall look - very (obviously) reminiscent of a first-wave Game Boy title... Unfortunately, the gameplay is also reminiscent of one. Too simplistic, repetitive, and punishingly difficult to be more than a quick time waster

Wow im glad i dont listen to whiny app store reviewers! This game is great, ppl talking about how hard it is just annoys me :/ Its not that difficult! Took me less than an hour i believe to get all the achievements except for the "collect all characters" one. If i can make it to the 50th floor that quick then... this game isnt that hard. Or im a master of this game! If the game looks interesting to you then give it a try like i did and see for yourself. The sad truth is that a lot of ppl leaving reviews on app games are probably looking for super easy,instant gratification games that basically or completely play themselves. And when they find one that actually says "hi! Your gonna have to try harder than that if you wanna play me!" they get angry and say its bad and leave angry reviews. This is a timing based game thats a little challenging and super fun.

There is a glitch, when I go to clime the lader on the left side it'll get stuck on in it until you die on an enemy. Honestly if I could kill the enemies in some way or if the controls were more forgiving that would be great. Maybe boss battles or floors to explore it needs some other kind of depth to make it more than just an "endless runner" or even more diversity in the monsters. Honestly I really like this game is think it has a fun style but it falls short of being a great game that I would recommend to others and play only as a time killer. Please add more, I think that this is a good foundation but unfinished game.

When you jump while on the very first ladder the game hangs and the ladder just elevates.

I really wonder how you've managed to mess up this badly Nitrome. This game is virtually impossible, the ads are more obnoxious than anything you've put out, and the controls are straight up garbage. I'm disappointed in you Nitrome.

Go play leap day instead. Unforgiving controls, no chance to learn timing, boring scenery.

I used to play Nitrome games all the time but this one lol. I got to floor o and ended up riding a ladder all the way to floor 490. Good times

I wish this game had a tutorial, levels with a gradual rise in difficulty as you progressed, and maybe some rpg elements thrown in. It's just bland compared to other apps you can get.

Fun game great music.Theres alot if adds but there 5 seconds so its not that bad.

This game is seriously glitches it lags so horrible this when I first play the game you need to fix this game it's not even playable at all the game is not finished at all!!!!!!

A really nice game for anyone who love some borderline masochistic gameplay, cute characters, and especially jumping off ghosts and spikes.

The controls are pretty crappy, the graphics are cute, the game Is pretty difficult.

It would be nice to know the controls before playing so I know what I'm doing. I can't rate the game if I don't know how play it
