Pokémon GO

Thus far I enjoy this game. It's quite a bit different from the main series in the sense that you don't get to battle wild pokemon. Also, it coud be greatly improved by the addition of a local chat or one similar to that of Ingress. There is a 3rd party app for pokemon go chat but not everyone is going to get that app. It needs to be implemented into the game to be truely effective. Edit: ya so this app is garbage. The gameplay is too simple and many needed features (actual pvp, trading, etc.) are missing

My wife and I have been playing this game since it came out. We have had a lot of fun. Rcently, all the gyms in our town have been taken over by a bot. When we take a gym we get kicked out within a couple minutes with no one around. The gym the quickly escalates to level 10, again, with no one around. The cheating bot is named Gastly75. I have filed a complaint Niantic but they have done nothing. My wife and I will just have to find a better use of our time.

I love the game. It's awesome and gets you outside and meeting people. I can deal with the server crashes and what not. It's still a beta. I would like to be able to trade and battle friends outside of a gym to train my pokemon. I also feel that instead of just throwing the ball to catch a pokemon, we should be able to battle them first. Just like "walking in the tall grass" on the games.

Used to love it until the recent update. I even just bought the pogo+ and gameplay somehow got worse. Loading time is terrible, pokestops don't register until you are out of range. Ultra rare Pokemon run after the first throw even with a razz. Trust this game used to be cool. Now I feel like it's trolling me. If the game gets better, so will my review rating.

Over one million negatives and growing. Congratulations. Loose balls too easily. Need to buy more because it's difficult to get free ones. Foreground app only and will not run in the background. Means that it drains battery quickly and I can't hatch eggs during my runs. And to others that rate it lower stars, like me, App developers don't care.

All I want is stability improvements. Stop changing the game until you can manage that. The game keeps crashing and freezing and glitching out, but hey! At least everything is different now! Who cares if it's constantly falling apart at the seams? Not me! Gotta catch 'em all!

Why is it so hard to test the game before you make it public. Sure new gyms are live but they are not only unplayable due to bugs but also frustrating. Health bars go up and down. Special bars go up and down. Battle stops. Timer keeps running. If someone manages to take a gym they can be sure they hold forever unless the bugs are fixed.

I love this game it's so interactive and fun! People aren't cooped inside all day , they are walking around having a great time! I still play this game even today when nobody else does, because Niantic has really fixed all the bugs and are even making it better ,in fact there are raid battles now and something new is happening to the gyms!!! I'm so happy with Pokémon Go. I've loved Pokémon ever since I was super little and now it's a reality. Thanks so much Niantic and Nintendo!

Love this GAME! Though sometimes, I CAN'T fight in gyms because I'm too far away... Can you make a function in this game so you can battle players from all over the world just from your location... I love this game so much, at least I did until it wouldn't let me log into my account. I've don't everything I can think of, I uninstalled and reinstalled it, I updated it, I even changed my password. No matter what I do I keep getting an error saying it was unable to authenticate my account. This has been going on for three days going on four. This isn't happening to any of my friends accounts so it's just me. My username and my password are spelled correctly. So I have no idea what the problem is. Please help

This is the most unstable game i have ever played. When it was first released, it did offer a tracking solution to the pokemon, then updated - gone. I got bored of roaming in the wild, so i deleted it. Then on March this year, i downloaded again just because of the nearby feature - show you where the pokemons are by local landmarks. And yesterday, I played it again to find out the feature is now gone again?! To developers: if you want to do it, do it right and set your mind to it. Don't be like this!

Horrible update and rework of gyms. I can't hold a gym to save my life. All the local cheaters are holding all my towns gyms and it's impossible to battle because now the game crashes or freezes halfway through battle. And it's extremely laggy. The old gym system was fine. You guys messed it up. Now I can't find any friendly gyms. I lost the ones I had. Spent a lot of money and effort in this game I'm level 35 almost 36 and I'm done with it. Should have left the gyms alone.

It takes centuries to load the game. And catching pokemon is a frustration with the loading bar up and buffering. Causing me to keep on restarting the game. Game sucks and the experience is like when it first launched. All the bugs and unnecessary loading and insane gps hops. But 1 thing for sure it is good for. Draining battery

Pokemon spawning at gyms and tracking them has improved. small cities and rural areas have a much harder time playing the game. Not nearly as many spawn points or pokestop. Need more at places like restaurants and bars. And I wonder what there plan is for winter. With neg 40 Celsius weather it's not like we can go outside and play on our phones. I basically didn't play from October till may

Since the latest update. Locked out for 2 days. 're installed twice already now locked out again. Constantly saying cannot connect to server. Lost daily log in bonuses. Used to play for hours now spending hours trying to even log in.

Game is more bugs than content. Every new update is one step forward, three steps back. I have never seen a company fumble intellectual property so hard. Constant server issues with ZERO explanation, ZERO apologies. And if you fell for the Go+ joke, you were sold a NON WORKING prooduct which they refuse to comment on.

They spent all that time and effort reworking the gym system, and yet did nothing to fix the battle mechanics. Camera Dodge glitch? Still there. Dodge glitch? It's x1000 worse. All the gym bugs still exist, and a whole slew of new ones plague the game. "Server load" is no longer a valid excuse. They've had a year to work that out, and it's entirely possible to deploy your back end so it can virtually scale infinitely. I just wish this company would spend more time fixing the huge problems with gameplay than solely​ on "new features." The latter is nice, but not if the gameplay is a horrible, laggy experience.

You can't even battle wild pokemon, you just throw a poke ball at it. Where's the fun in that? This app still drains my battery really quickly. Please fix that. The new gym update is pretty cool; it reignited my interest in battling and the badges are nice. Too bad I can no longer earn poke coins for assigning a Pokemon to a gym.

This game is very fun and they did a good job of fixing peoblems with the recent updates. That being said, I need more from this game. The potential is there. Pokestop/gym moderated message boards, trainer battling, contests... i would be willing to host events in my area if Niantic decided to have user moderated contests/tournaments and message boards. Give the people what they want!

Gyms still dont work. Keep getting that they are still under maintenance. Gyms are 90% of the game and with out them this game is worthless. There is no variety of Pokemon and no trading. Its sad when a company has to scam Pokemon's followers. With at the beginning they showed commericals with 1v1 battles and trading. Still yet to see that.

SUPER DUPER GREAT!! I am pretty late for this game since it is now "dead" but even though there is not as much hype (even with me) getting this game brang my hype back up 70%. This game is totally still played globally. To bring the game back I recommend the devs, make a whole new, big thing to change the game in a great way and make everyone want it back.

When I first started playing really enjoyed but last few weeks I'm getting repeat common Pokémon and my GPS which had not been a problem at all now has me two or three streets away from where I actually am. Not happy with new update, fix the GPS lock and help people who are not able to get out to go hunting. Review may improve if you improve the quality of the game.

The game to me has definitely improved since my last review. On my current account I am level 23, and have only been playing for about 20 days now. I got to partake in my first event since joining the game last summer and I loved it. With the gym overhaul there has been a new gym added to my city. Overall the updates only improve the game. Pokemon Go is a fantastic addition to the Pokemon franchise.

WANT TO Love this app, its just getting harder and harder as time goes on. Still no trading. Still no battling player to player. Then raids get rolled out and they aren't even in the game. Dont go false advertising things that you are not willing to deliver on when you say you are going to deliver them. Played legit since day one. But I feel like GPS spoofers are the only real community left for this game as everyone else that I could have easily spoken wirhin the first few months of this games release now look at me wondering why I still turn it on regularly. Why is this game still not the game it deserves to be niantic?

There's a few issues with the sever and battery life usage. When you open the app, there's a chance of not being able to play due issues with the sever. There is a power save mode in the settings. When you close the app and come back to it, the settings go back to default. This means if you turn off the music, it will go back on or if you put power save on that it will go back off. I understand that this is a new game but these are a few things you guys can look into and improve to make this app better.

Its a great game for all those fans of pokemon and those who have never played! There are some improvements I think would benefit the game.. such as, more pokéstops in rural areas. I have 1 gym close to me and only 3 pokéstops in a 10 minute radius. I find this a hassle and I'm less likely to go out as it takes so much time. If niantic opened a pokéstop thread I think it would really help. I know I would deffinatly play more. I think berries should last 2 poke ball throws as well because it's such a waste of berries if you're trying to get a rare pokemon but you have to use a berry each time as when it pops out of the ball it removes the berries effect.

HORRIBLE UPDATE! My battery on my S5 now lasts about 20 minutes, my Pokémon go plus no longer works (pairs but doesn't do anything)... Gym battles are hillarious! My Pokémon and their pokémon just keeps healing three or four times each battle and I get network errors about every 3 minutes forcing me to restart... FIX IT PLEASE!

This game is awesome! I've had no issues with anything. The gym rework is going to be awesome! Screw the whiners, keep making it a great game! Sold out in less than 2 min? Those are your real fans! We will see you in Chicago!

The game itself has repeating errors whenever there is an update. - the game takes too long to proceed at the loading screen. - gps and servers of the game are are messed up even the internet and gps are fine. - the character's avatar is moving away from the pokéstops and gyms whenever the character's avatar approach them. - the distance traveled by the character is not moving eventhough the player itself walked for 1 km. - Most of the internet powered games functions properly except Pokémon Go. - The loading circle at the upper left of the screen appears everytime at the game eventhough the internet connection and gps are fine. Whenever that loading circle appears, expect many errors at the game itself. Niantic, please value your players, if you want the game to played by many.

Oh cool! You guys were able to add a sliding tab for the Raid on the Nearby Pokémon screen! Now why can't you do that with the wild Pokémon that are nearby and NOT at a Pokéstop??? Do that and I'll give you four stars. Bring back the footsteps and the ability to actually hunt down wild Pokémon and you'll be five star worthy, and I'll be strongly recommending everyone to play again.

The most recent update is horrible. Pokestops don't register (always says try again later) and there are virtually no more pokemon. Last week they were everywhere and now today nothing. I saw 1 pidgey. I live in an area where stops are far and few between, need the ones we do have to work or give out more than 2 pokeballs per stop. They want you to have to spend money.

I will always love Pokemon. But I started hating this game. In city there are more Pokemon than village or forest how can it be. In Pokemon shows there are more Pokemon in city side or village. Most of Rare pokemon live in far from city. The game will go pathetic if legendary Pokemon introduce. If the legendary Pokemon get caught how the nature will be stable. ridiculous raid battle, a trainer in u tube can't play this even he is level 40. So how i can able to play it my level is only 23. Ever since the most recent update, the game had forced me to log out of my account; no big deal. But then I tried a whole variety of passwords to get back in and the game wouldn't let me log in. So then I decided to go reset my password. Now just so you know, I only have two email accounts: 1 Roger account and 1 gmail account. I tried resetting my password with both the accounts and everytime I tried it, the game claimed that both emails do not exist. Well guess what, THOSE ARE THE ONLY TWO EAMIL ACCOUNTS I own and I know for a fact that one of them works but supposedly both of them don't. DUMBEST EXCUSE. DO NOT DOWNLOAD.

I think Pokemon go is wonderful, I would really want login rewards too. Some people cant go out of their homes because of a sickness. If they go out they can die so if they ran out of pokeballs they cant do anything. Or if your mom wont let you go collect pokestops because you cant bring your phone or tablet with you... I really think login rewards are needed.

The Nexus 5 is not compatible with this game after the latest update, they stole my money! Update: Still unable to play after the latest update, Niantic still has no love for their users. Update: Months later and still no fix in sight. Don't give Niantic any of your hard earned cash, they are thieves! Update: Still can't sign in.

I've been playing since the beginning but I'm ready to uninstall after the gym system updates. I understand that people wanted a more PvP feel but it comes at the expense of individual gameplay. Makes it impossible to play without a group of people to back you up. Not ideal if you chose the wrong team a year ago and are now stuck as a Mystic in a community full of valor. Maybe give the option to pay for a switch? Only way I can see myself playing at this point.

Will I used to be an avid daily player but stopped about 3 months ago due to problems logging in, GPS loss, lagging etc. I've just come back but reading the reviews it seems the problems are still there only they've added a few more! Will give it one more chance but it seems I can actually live without it. There was a time where I couldn't. Such a shame that they don't sorry out these persistent issues before added more stuff to cock up.

Team instinct member: losing hope on Niantic, living in a urban area and no gyms to walk to. All Gyms are driving distance where I live. All I can do is throw Pokeballs. All my friends stop playing cuz there wasn't much content to keep them most of them are waiting for PvP. feel like deleting the game but im still fan of pokemon. Overall game is unfair for Urban and rural areas. Not a fun experience doing the same thing over and over and over....

Let me start with, this game, it's entire premise, is amazing. The latest update however, seems to have broken my GPS, though I've troubleshooted it on my end and confirmed my cellular phone's GPS is functioning normally Pokemon Go refuses to acknowledge it. You broke it, Niantic. As an aside, what is raid events anyway? How'd this feature find its way into the game before PokeCenters? I don't want to raid I want to heal my Pokemon. PokeCenters could be added into gyms instead of 'raids'. You'll get your 5 stars back when you address these issues instead of adding more Pokemon and/or ridiculously useless battle systems.

Wow. Never into the gym battles, but now they are completely worthless. A 1248 blissey takes out all my 3400+ Pokemon? I had it beat with 30 seconds but the AI would not let it die. Something wrong here and I never had issues beating much of anything before.
