Shibuya Grandmaster for Android
I love the concept of this game, where you're both building and breaking the blocks that come down, and it's perfect as an intense puzzle game. However, I will say that it gets a bit too unforgiving, especially when messing up a large combo that leave you little room to recover. Oftentimes I end up throwing away a lot of runs simply because the colors I have wouldn't allow me to recover from mistakes. If the RNG were more adaptive to that sort of situation, it would be an overall better game.
The game has caught me by surprise. I don't even like electronic music (or whatever it's called), but everything comes together to provide a great gaming experience! Graphics, sound, control and gameplay are off the charts. Hope we get a battle/multiplayer mode.
Shibuya Grandmaster is a sequel to the 2010 iOS title, Shibuya, and manages to be just as addictive as the original. The gameplay is simple but challenging, and the backgrounds are very aesthetically pleasing, although the UI does look a bit dated. Would be perfect with a better interface and additional game modes.
Elegant controls, increasingly challenging gameplay. This is one of the only games I've played on a smartphone that feels like a skill that you're learning, rather than just a timesuck. Tetris lovers should download this.
Don't be fooled about the Tetris comparisons. The overall game is different to Tetris. Both are fun, this is exceptional. Love the colours, love the changing gameplay and challenges.
This game is hours of fun! Very simple concept yet allows for some challenging and fast paced gameplay.
A simple game great for short breaks. Can be addictive.
I see colored blocks when I close my eyes...
Simple in concept, executed brilliantly. Has a rare Lumines-like quality from backgrounds to soundtrack. Addictive.
Every time you reckon you've got the hang of the mechanics you pick up another trick
No ads. Great gameplay that actually works on a phone.
Simple concept, fun game that doesn't rely on being "addictive"
This game is guilty of "just one more game" syndrome
Fun and exciting puzzle game. Great soundtrack too!
Nice soundtrack and visuals, fun gameplay.
I'm hooked
Get it
Fast-paced and always pushing your limits, you WILL have to get faster and work harder every time you play in order to reach higher stages. Highly recommended!
Fun and addictive
Excellent.
Please don't play this game, for your health
Title was too long till it became shibuya grandma...
Love it
Played so much of this game on iPhone years ago, and have been waiting patiently for the android port to drop. Excellent action-puzzle game with fun achievements, great soundtrack, and the type of game play that makes you want to play just one more game. Also check out Kapsula if you like Shibuya. Thanks to the devs for making it free, paid for everything already... Bring in some new game modes! :)
Wonderful soundtrack, functional graphics, frustrating challenges that really push you. It's wonderful all around, and plays well on everything I throw it at.
Frustratingly addictive, the challenges are hard but fair. If only the graphics were a weeee bit better. Now, just one more go!
Glad this game made a port over to Android. Simple to learn, hard to master quick witted puzzle game. With extremely good music to match. Really addicting. All the elements of a great app
Challenging with a steep learning curve, but achievable so far
Cool music
Must try
Fast-paced and always pushing your limits, you WILL have to get faster and work harder every time you play in order to reach higher stages. Highly recommended!
Very reminiscent of Tetris, but very different. Gets very fast very quickly and on higher levels one mistake dooms your game. Addictive enough though that you just want to play again and try not to make that mistake again. Loses a star because it checks if you're online and there's really no reason for it.
The game is great, surprised how well it is done. Unfortunately, I can't give it more than 3 stars because it doesn't have immersive mode. It's 2015, most Android phones use onscreen buttons. Please add it asap, takes a few flags and vastly improves the experience.
I do not log into games I play with my Google account and most games ask once and that's it. This game however tried to get me to log into my account 5 times in under a minute. That's just annoying. Too bad, it was a fun game. Uninstalled.
Challenging and fun.

Revolves around simple concept of blocks falling from the sky and matching them with colors! But yet complex. Love the bg music as well!
Simple concept, highly addictive and BEAUTIFUL! Steep learning curve - some of those challenges get, well, challenging!!
Immediately struck by how well done this is. Purchased the Everything Forever pack within a few minutes of play to support a great developer with amazing sensibility.

An excellent example of well thought out game mechanics. Easy to understand but very, very difficult to master. Presented with a beautiful and modern style that's reminiscent of Lumines and the sheer elegance of misleading simplicity of Tetris. Even though I play this game while listening to podcasts, I'm going to buy all of the music and backgrounds to support the developer (a clever and non-oppressive way to get support, by the way).
