Bridge by NeuralPlay for Android
East and West are definitely favored and most of the time both can open, bid and play the hand. South gets either great hands or not enough to open or support. North is the real loser, very seldom an opening hand and they can go a bit nuts on the bidding with overcalls and rushing to 4NT without points to begin with. It is nice to just practice bidding and playing.
The deal is not random, almost 20:3 in favour of east west. The bidding ai needs updating.. Poor north bidding with regards to points (might be more useful to ease off on the interpretation of conventions). OK game but frustrating.
Outstanding play and available commentary. My only hesitation is the size of the graphics on the cards; I'd do the cards differently, abandoning the tradition of having 8 miniature spades on the 8 of spades and just showing an 8 and a single large spade. This ap is worth $20 +/-
East/West wins an inordinate number of times. South gets an overwhelming number of low point-count hands of less than 8!!! Fair computer generated hands could not possibly cheat South that often!!!
This is a great idea, but the AI bids terribly. My partner opened the bidding with one spade and had only 2 spades in his hand.
Just learning the game. Finding this app very helpful. Good practice , but I don't yet understand all the bidding conventions.
NeuralPlay Bridge is excellent. I've been playing it for weeks at the 6 level and haven't come across the bias in hands that other users are complaining about, nor any dumb bidding that other users complain about. The only "dumb" bids I've seen, come about from my misunderstanding of conventions. The program does enable you to set skewed hands so that you can practice on them. The only minor flaw I've seen is where the program recommends responding to a bid where I have say 11 HCP, and its own explanation says I need 12 HCP to do so. The only improvement I can think of, is if the program had a Non-Practice Mode, where hints were turned off, and the Undo button was limited to just one Undo (for the situation where one accidentally taps the wrong button). This mode would test what one has really learned, for when facing real people. What I like most about this program, is that my computer partner isn't exasperating, and doesn't make inexplicable or dumb leads, of the type one typically sees in lesser programs (for example, like the one in Hoyles or Bicycle Card Games). Regards.
It's okay overall. Can be quite frustrating that the app knows what is in the other hands without any hints. This makes play very predictable. Also some of the bidding is quite strange at times.
North bids senselessly. So 1* less. Otherwise the best game of Bridge on Google Play.
Great way to keep sharp. Also includes explanations of bidding conventions I didn't know.
The bidding by the computer and hints are not good. Missed opportunities and in other cases, leads one into trouble
Very good especially the bid hints. Opponents bidding seems very cautious.
The hints are very helpful to me since I have not played in a few years.
Enjoyable game. Could have better acol bidding. Nice selection of hands. Good standard play
It's one of the best free bridge programme I have played
East west win. N S get crappy hands
Gives bidding hints and explanations which has helped tremendously
Could not sign in yet. Partner is always computer and it bids without any convention. Can not play online.
Your ai partner bids terribly, you will keep losing cos east & west always get good hands
Excellent. As absorbing as real Bridge and very instructive especially about SAYC. Thanks.
Good one... But sometimes it's not showing the correct score
Good Game ,but make it Multiplayer via Online & Bluetooth.
Plays nice. The bidding hints could have more clarity.
Took a while to get accustomed to the interface, but after playing several hands it became clear, easy to use and very enjoyable!
Partner never remembers leads overtakeswinner
Sometimes comp is playing like idiot
Game does not work with Android 7.0
Computer bidding can get confused with part scores or interruptions, but still good fun
Dummy bids are wrong!
My AI partners bids are terrible
excellent game .But sometime cpu's bidding becomes very bad , like fresher
In the play mode jot enough e/W offense them too much e/W in rubber bridge
Unique, options superb, fun, can work on aspects, could suggest...'defense' play option, but then need 6 stars
I await the day when someone devises a new way of animating card games for the masses.
Player north not good
Some calls from partner are rediculous
Would prefer to be able to take back card as soon as I have click it accidentally.
One of the best bridge apps I've played
Display size of dummy hand is very small.

Great app. For beginners it gives bidding/play hints. For the experienced, it offers choice of complexity level w/o assistance. Clean design, usable with or without sign in. Only negative is no option to save game/rubber status upon exit. To save status, must hit phone's 'home' control - minor oversight they are working to improve. After checking several bridge apps, I prefer this one hands down.
