There are more fully-featured chess apps for Android but none with a more clean, good-looking, intuitive interface. Solid computer opponent - might benefit from an absolute beginners level.

The gameplay itself is fine, but why does the app reset the board whenever you go to another app? I thought the whole point of a stateless device like an android was that programs would remember their states from one instance to the next.

Its and okay chess engine when it come to a phone nothing like hue deni though(forgot how spell). And defiantly not a engine for beginners, especially for that person who said it was using illegal moves. ;)

A great version, very smooth and slick interface. As a novice player it's nice to have an AI that I can actually beat (albeit on the easy level).

when i finally do manage to get round it ten trillion IQ and make a check mate move this stupid AI makes illegal moves to win! It should be simple on easiest setting

This game is irritating! I am always trying to counter but it cheats. When the computer has a queen and gets a pawn to my side, it gets a queen -.- ! And no matter what I do, it has some sort of response. I was once chechmated when I could have done something after to get out of check. I am disappointed and I don't recommend it.
