QIII4A(source port of quake 3)

Pretty great that this works on the Nvidia Shield. I ran it from my sdcard with the path of /storage/sdcard1/qiii4a My only issue so far are my own. I can't figure out how to switch weapons and my movement speed with the right stick seems to be slow. I'm sure there is a setting for this somewhere.

It's looking great except for finding my bluetooth mouse. Autodetect doesn't work and I've tried events 0-5 and mouse0, mouse1, etc. Please respond as I see from the reviews that I'm not the only one. Maybe help me try to find the event id for mouse?

Doesn't work on galaxy s7, but what can I say it's a dead app. Don't waste your time, hopefully someone will realize Android gamers are still a thing and especially with phones being more powerful now this would be an excellent time killer.

Qiii4A has a super intuitive Interface. I removed the on_screen gamepad and opted for my own Bluetooth controller. Feels and plays just like my moded pc quake versions... I actually like Open Arena more than Quake live!.... of course that's after I cast onto my TV.

The controls in this game are very stiff, mainly looking around. Unfortunately, I'm unable to change the mouse sensitivity.

Works exactly as advertised. Using a USB mouse/keyboard is a little problematic on my unrooted device but very playable with a bluetooth gamepad.

Can't play, when I hit "Start Game" it just force quits, no error messages or anything.

Bluetooth mouse tends to lag when playing multiplayer, other than that. Flawless.

I put the baseq3 folder on the qiii4a folder and nothing happened. It quits or gets a black screen when i select start game

To be able to play this on my Bionic is just so awesome. Then to play it on my Bionic Lap dock @ 1366X768 is beyond a level of awesomeness words can't describe. This Q2 and Q1 work with the PC version to for cross platform epicness.

I created the qiii4a folder, then copied the baseq3 folder into it. But when I select launch game from the app, it closes. If I did something wrong please tell me. I shouldn't have though because I followed the instructions, unless I missed something. Please help and I'll give the app 5 stars.

This is lots of fun. But I have one minor problem.I CANT PLAY QUAKE!! I have quake on my PC and I put the baseq3 folder in but the app never runs it. So for now I play the open arena thing, which is still fun. I need help!

I love playing this on my phone, but I have a small issue. I use a Bluetooth controller and the game display will dim after like 1 minute and start lagging, I have to touch the screen for it to brighten and this constantly happens while I'm playing with my controller. Any help?

When I first downloaded QIII4A and started it, a message came up that said "Game files where not found put game files to /sdcard/ qiii4a" This message came up with QI4A and QII4A. If someone can help me I will rate it differently.

This port runs so well it's crazy. It even works with both analog sticks on my gaming tablet. Silky smooth performance, couldn't ask for more!

Huawei Honor 4x. When I press start game, it opens up and closes itself before the game start. Please help me the problem..

Holy crap its great. Quake isn't ment for a touch screen. But it has controller support. Thanks its great but make sure you have about 500 mb of space free

OpenArena works fine but whenever I try to load Quake 3 it just crashes to my home screen. Disappointing

Absolutely amazing port. I'm a moron when it comes to mouse support, and finally got it. Absolutely brilliant. Looking for the donate button now.

I finally went elsewhere and found out the 1.32 PR is the latest and all you get is the EXE. I did find elsewhere there are missing PAK files. I have all except for pak6.pk3 pak7.pk3 pak8.pk3. so thats what I needed to know. Now I got those files and its working I still give you a 1 star for you being an a-hole.

Love it. Works perfectly, 60 FPS on an Xperia Z2, with a mouse&keyboard combo. BIG like for the mouse support! But WASD does not work on a Note 3,

First of all, if the game is running off a different engine; it's not a port. Its a remake. A port is the same exact game on a different system with a wrapper to allow the os and controls to communicate with the older engine. Kind of like an emu, but to a specific game. Its slow, mp is slow and latent. The controls are OK but I've seen better for these games. Considering his competitor is gone and this is the only OK quake on android I still won't download again. Why? No dev should tell you not to buy a game. If you want to support a dev, competitor to an app or not, if you think its better. Then buy it, because in terms of ports; What you're paying for is good code to communicate between interfaces(ie; an old winxp game to android os, or xinput controllers,etc.,) not the game itself because devs can't sell ports without the original devs approval. Which is why you have to own the game to begin with. So proger, don't tell your player base not to buy games, one. Free increasingly means suspicious on android. Two, its bad business sense to put down your competitor so openly; since anyone who remembers him knows it was a paid app.

I have tried this countless times. I have installed this on my shield tv running full android. I have tried auto and manual mouse setting, but still no luck. I ran a cat on the mouse input to make sure it was set correctly. Would be nice to get this working. Yes, root permission given, Using SuperSu.

Is there a way to change your username without a bluetooth keyboard?

(Update)[ please fix mouse support in lollipop]!!! With keyboard/key pad and mouse, plays identically to desktop os gameplay. Excellent completion of kwaak

Doesn't work just closes when I press play

I never thought I would be able to play this on my nexus so impressed thanks so much to the DEV. I am struggling to get online play working using OpenArena I just get game mismatch but maybe I ill work it out. Thanks!

I was surprise at just how well it runs. The movies are kind of jerky but everything else is absolutely first class. The mouse support requiring root is odd.
