DIII4A (source port of doom 3)

Running this on my note 3 with with the highest graphical settings but with the resolution set to normal and I'm getting full speed most of the time, only when things get busy on screen do I see a little slow down. Very playable indeed!

It took some tweaks, but after messing around inside the game, it runs smooth on my Chinese Much 78p01. Note: must use original Doom 3 files. BFG Edition base folder will not work.

Takes a lot of messing around to get it to run smoothly but its worth it as i have a high end phone and this game pushes it to the limits. Even when you get it to work it will take a night to map gamepad, keyboard and sort out audio/visual bugs. Still got the problem of the aiming being a little twitchy when enemies are on screen. Lets see ports of silent hill4, return to castle wolfenstein, farcry, metal gear3 and resident evil 4.

Got this on a wim. Works perfect on my s5. Even without disabling lighting it only drops a few frames every now and then. Only one downside. I can't put it down. So I'm draining my battery constantly. Awesome app!!!!

Does anyone know if you can get resurrection of evil to work, I have tried but comes up with error when I am just about to spawn on map...to the developer please don't forget about this app, after all the hard work you have put into making it, don't you want it to be perfect, like your darkplaces port. By the way you need to do a decent version of duke nukem 3d, the one that's out is pants... Runs amazing on HTC m9

Nice port and works well on my droid turbo with full lighting effects. Just wish the developer would fix the issue with the save.tga causing the game to crash. If anyone else is having this issue. Delete the save.tga/quicksave.tga out of the save game folder and your saved game will load. Hopefully the issue gets fixed in a later release.

It probably works great, but when I press start it says game files arent there. Either im stupid or doing something wrong. Help?

Easily one of the best gaming apps to date. I am running Doom 3 with lighting enabled at 1080p on a Shield Tablet...never would have thought that possible. Well done!

The only thing is I can't map the d-pad on my Moga Controller, otherwise amazing port. Can it run Quake 4 as well?

I can now play Doom 3..... you have 2 create a new file.(diii4a), and go 2 the pc and copy the file of doom 3 named "base" and paste it 2 the diii4a file....and enjoy.... very simple

I searched everywhere (russian blogs too),but I can understand how to merge this problem : Games starts,but after an half of the loading of a new game an error message with blue and red text says "unknow token 0 in material texures/sfx/vpring3" and also a lot of "unknow string" errors. Great job on making doom run on android. I'm on shield tablet and for some reason my flash light doesn't work :((((( plz help as it kind of make the whole game unplayable unless I switch lighting off. My crouch button doesn't respond ether. Any advice ?

This app runs really great on my s7800. It's weird to think I once needed a top of the line computer to run this game, but now I can play it on a handheld. There, however, are some minor problems I hope can get resolved in an update (Note to developer, please update this great app!!!). You cannot play the expansion, Resurrection of Evil. You also can't play mods all the way through (they usually break and are unable to be completed). The main game also has some minor graphical glitches (very minor). For instance, video files, glitch making them hard to view. And extremely rarely the screen goes black and requires a restart of the app. Still overall a very good port, by a guy who has made some very good ports.

Here i was thinking i was gonna play one of the greatest games made on my phone but nope you have block me with this could not find game file message and kick me out. Yeah let everyone else play except for me F*CK YOU!!! BTW you need a sd card to play this bought a 20 dollar one and still not working so DOUBLE F*CK YOU

Game doesn't play on S5. The directory is correct and the game files are installed. Don't bother trying if you are on S5, the Dev is a lazy***.

Cant get it to work - added a autoexec file which was missing from the Steam base folder, which was causing an error - but still wont run on my K1 (nougat). error now is "couldn't load game dynamic library"

My only concern is that you can't play the bfg version of this game, if I could I would rate it 5 stars. Also can you play other games that run on the same game engine?

Never once did I imagine I would play doom 3 on a phone or device this size, but here I am, doing just that. This is a amazing port of doom 3, it has all kinds of features to suit any phone. I played it on my samsung galaxy s5 with a framerate as smooth as butter on full lighting. The guys who made this clearly know what there doing. I reccomend this to any doom fan or any gamer.

Wish it worked with the Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil expansion pack, otherwise it still runs and works great, full speed on samsung tab 8.4

This update does not work as it should on my android device. Every time I try to start the game it crashes. The first time I tried this application it did "work'', but when I started Doom 3, everything including the intro and the level were black and I couldn't see anything, but listen to the sound of the game. Later I tried again and the crashing started. Want to know how I fixed this problem...? I had to download an inferior version of DIII4A, now I can play it. I'd like to see a better update fixing this problem since the inferior version of this application doesn't have the new features that the update has. Apart from all of that, the application does work, but it doesn't with the latest update. Basically the 4 stars is for the app in general. I tried this app with an "Energy Sistem S7 Dual" android device, just in case the developer decides to research.

I am glad this works for me minus a few issues such as minor lighting issues, crashes if you leave the app, no way to save beyond auto save, onscreen keyboard doesn't work, doesn't work well with moga controllers (still playable though). I've emailed the dev. No response. No update in two years... If it's not working for you your on your own, seems this is ABANDONEDWARE! (Note 4, lollipop 5.1.1)

I have a S4 and It runs It beautifully on lowest Res and full graphics. I had to remap my controls to get started but after that 5 second job was done I jumped right in. I love you n0n3m4.

After i click start game it crashes without any errors, first time run was fine, now after ingame crash cannot run anymore, haven't touched configuration

Don't expect to play Doom3 as well as the other ID source ports from this dev but it's still pretty impressive.

I'm a huge fan of doom and it I s awesome to play doom 3 on phone it would be better if I could do mods and mutiplayer tho but it's really awesome to just go anywhere and play doom on my phone

Runs very smooth on s5, ultra settings (minus shadows using in-game menus). touch controls feel good if mapped properly (volume button to fire). please make more! would love to see half-life 1 (or 2 if possible)

I'm using my nvidia shield tablet and it works perfect in 720p res! Even 1080p, but with audio stutter (lags) And the developer said that the tegra didn't support MSAA? WEll, the K1 in my shield tablet supported it xD

Crashes occasionally (duh, it's beta), but the fact I can play Doom 3 on a mobile phone is outstanding! Excellent work guys!

Finally beat the game on this before my pc died in 2005, now I've bought the expansion. Is it or will it possible be playable on the android?

Looks great, moves well, loads up just fine, and seems as if its going to be the coolest thing ever. Except haf the time mouse clicking while in-game just doesn't work. So even getting into the pda or opening elavators.....Is maybe a 50/50 chance.......was almost the best thing ever made for droid except it fails.
