Tap Tap Reborn: Best of Indie Music for Android
This game brings me back to the past. Like a few years ago. But the hit rate in it at the moment is not exactly on point. I recorded myself playing it because it felt weird. And true it was the hit rate is quite a bit of guard and needs fixing. There's no better people to ask but the developers to fix it.
Every song on here is all off-sync. The calibration feature is UTTERLY useless, as some songs are not even properly synced compared to others. The worst chart yet on this game is "This is EDM", Please restep it. Too many problems with this game, GOODNESS GRACIOUS!
Dunno if its just me, but it seems the beat of the song is about a quarter second faster than the beat of the game. You have to train yourself to tap a quarter second or so after the beat of the song, really annoying.
It's not like the original tap tap revenge, it has basic music I guess to avoid copyright and the songs are way too short. I'm disappointed, the original game was so addictive and so much fun, I was hoping this would be just as good, I miss it.
Great game but still has small kinks where the begging of some songs don't load. Also some songs only play half way for now til they adjust the game more. Overall feels like the old tap tap revenge but just updated with less features( for now). This game can only get better!
I found it a very faithful rendition of the Tap Tap formula however with sone difficult to work around flaws like the song selection being somewhat obscure and feeling like samples instead of entire tracks but of course this is because licensing music is not a cheap business. The user interface could also do with a lot more polish but I am not aware how large the development team for this app is so I cant find much fault in that. It is a perfectly functional AI but it doesnt look very artistically designed which for a rhythm game is very important in my opinion.
just like the other music games I have the same complaint. What is the point of trying to hit the notes perfectly or even hit them At all IF THEY DON'T affect your music quality at all?? there needs to be some sort of motivation to play the game and that motivation should be that if you hit the wrong note it messes up the song. therefore making you want to hit the notes. essentially you can not do anything at all and just listen to the track.
Very good remake of the game, but please add famous songs (like closer by chainsmokers) for android users please. If not then at least add famous copyright free songs like faded or some other mcs songs
I had an issue with connecting to Facebook after already being connected before. I had to uninstall and then reinstall to connect but then it started me off at level 1 again. Pretty irritating to lose all progress but whatever, the game is fun.
On Taptap revenge I miss the avatar that you could create. You could even chat with other tappers. There was also a way to make one phone 2 player so you could play in real life with one of your friends. Please bring those back. Try to make Tap tap reborn as close if not as exact to the others to be more popular like the other tap tap series.
Overall, I quite liked the game. My only small problem is the amount of ads. I would give it 5 stars but the amount of ads just take that last star away. Some of things I DO like about it are: * The graphics * The gameplay * The timing between the song and the beats * The Songs
I definitely love the game but I would like to actually see some Modern Day music put into the game like the old tap tap games. I missed taptap so much this makes me nostalgic for the old stuff. So we can add some newer music in there that would be awesome!
I think that TAP TAP IS BACK FINALLY! i've played every tap tap even world tour which introduced the swipe but was kinda bad... This redeems and more, I love this so much
Good game. Could be better if it stops crashing and ruining the multiplayer gameplay. It brings back lots of memories in the good ol' days of TTR. Wished it had more rock songs, as stated in the description.
*EDIT* CAN YOU FIX THE MULTIPLAYER?! The new update just made this game fully competitive! This game is getting closer and closer to being as good or better than the old taptap. Unfortunately, the leaderboard are for strange things like total multiplayer wins or total score (at least that's what I think it is, it doesn't say if it's combined beatmap score or total lifetime score). I wish they would introduce a slightly more competitive ranking system like Osu: Different maps are worth different amounts of point and you get a percentage based on your best performance. This, of course, would be along side the score rankings. For the multiplayer I would suggest ranking tiers or a winrate system (which would rank you according to your winrate in each difficulty after 100 games on each). Other than that I love this game to bits and I will continue to play it everyday for the foreseeable future. Thank you devs!
Why does the iPhone get all the best songs but Samsung players can't enjoy them as well? 5 stars when I see Katy Perry on my list.
I understand that all songs cannot be added because of copyright and licensing issues, but is there a way we can suggest non copyrighted songs? (not owned by us, but songs we like) I also understand this is a crowdfunded app with a small team, and kudos to the team for this great remake, But would have been cool if we could do so ????
It's nice.. Is it possible if you can make Tap Tap Tour or revenge? Or at least put songs like Tremors by Martin Garrix or any song made by Artists?
The ads so annoying. Pls take time to lessen the ads. Then have some combos like your going to shake or tap some icons so that the party levels go smooth and have a more scores
Repetitive music, none challenging game play and multi-player seems to pick the same song all the time. It sucks demo or citus lambda are better games
5 stars if it would've had known popular songs like the old tap tap...overall super happy because its the BEST rythm game on playstore. It goes extremely well with the beat/music, and though the songs are not from popular artist (not that i know of), but they have a nice beat, especially those dubsteps, nice job! And i dont like dubstep so much. What if you guys sell popular artist music for like a dollar each, im sure they wont mind, they sell their tracks for a buck in itunes. And i bet tap tap lovers wont mind paying for them. i wouldnt mind!
Decent game it crashes every now and then, but no more than other games... My Main and only problem with the game is this... I don't like dubstep... But Tap Tap Revenge 4 was probably the best and most fun mobile game I've ever played (Personal Opinion of course) I just feel as though there should be am option to play other genres of music/songs. But otherwise would recommend the game to other people.
It's definitely no where near as fun as the original. I got up to level twenty before I quit. What happened to having actual songs to play to? Not to mention, the controls are iffy at best. Thanks, but thanks. Nice try, trying to bring it back. Bring back the original if you want to be truly successful again.
I don't want to be the person that says the old one was better, but Tap revenge actually had songs by artists on it instead of whatever these things are. Also the multiplayer was amazing on revenge. I understand it's probably because of something to do with copyright that you can't get songs like the old version, but maybe there's a loophole? I just can't enjoy this as much as the old one...
Definitely a fun game. My only issue is the split second change in direction some of the note take. They look like they are coming down one lane only to curve off to the side. I haven't been playing long so maybe I just need more practicd. Otherwise a very fun game
It's a fantastic throwback to the original tap tap revenge games. I wish they had more featured artists but i can understand it being hard to get the rights to those types of songs. My main concern is the calibration. It stands out to me as being very off and hard to configure. I've found myself adjusting it a number of times trying to figure out if it's working right. I think that could use somewhat of a makeover. My other concern is the replay value. Im noticing there are only about 50 or so songs between general and premium, and premium will be difficult to purchase all the songs without paying money. Other than that it's a fantastic game and i plan to continue playing it for a while. I'm glad it hasn't fallen into the trappings of micro transactions TOO hard.
You have no idea how long I've been looking for this app. This was my bus ride home in high school, and any other free time I had. The app started getting neglected a few years ago, and then my IPod touch broke. The app for Android was obviously abandoned and I've been looking for something similar since. This is it. This is the only one that has the same quality of app that Tapulous had. Time to go play my thumbs off. :)
It's not as good as the old one which I loved but I see you're still developing. I have a suggestion for you if you're willing to accept it? Why not instead of having just popular music have all genres of music so everyone can download what they want? The only thing I didn't like about the old one was the lack of music as I'm not a popular music fan. Or even better why not make it compatible with peoples MP3 files so they can play their own music? Just a couple of ideas thank you for listening :)
I used to play this game all the time in high school and since it was deleted, I was really disappointed. But now it's back and I am really grateful! See everyone when I'm done playing---like 16 years :)
I LOVED this game. I love that you're continuing to update, and I love that you're bringing back ttr. I used to play this game a lot, but recently it seems that the game isn't functioning properly. A lot of notes are being missed that I very clearly didn't miss, and sometimes I will be in the middle of a tail note and it will count as a miss. Sometimes it will act as if I tapped even when I didn't. Fix this and I'll bring my rating back up to 5 stars. note: before playing this game I wash my phone, my hands, and I use te calibration feature. I find myself to be a decent player, and know all of these misses can't possibly be me.
On one hand Im more than glad you guys brought the Tap Tap brand back , even though the quality between the old and the new app cannot be compared. (Which Tapolous made was better). As an initiate (app developer) I was scratching my forehead in the morning when I started the app, but it forgot all my progress. Seriously? Okay, I wasnt logged in (Guest), but these kind of mistakes are not acceptable nor helps you to bring back the "original" tap tap feeling. On the other hand you should finally release the 2nd version as (in theory at least) we will be able to play popular songs then.
So I've played all of the old tap tap games when they came out years and years ago, and I've got some advice for the Devs of this game. 1. Redo the theme of the game. Logos, menus, colour, font ETC. I know you might be trying to recreate the original tap tap style but don't. Make something modern and new, that will attract new users. 2. Add an option for higher quality streaming in the menu. 3. Don't use so many triple notes within the songs. Many people play with their thumbs, and hitting 3 at once is almost impossible to get perfect. 4. Add an option to turn the music videos off. They cover up part of the screen, meaning you can't see notes coming as early as possible. Apart from that the game is pretty awesome. So glad to see someone working on it! Good luck and I hope you can include some of these things I've mentioned.
i was so excited to download this and play again after such a long absence, but ew. these songs are garbage, the game is kind of hard to naviagte. the music is all random edm. cant you add songs that people know. TTR was seriously THE BEST. I know I would pay, and probably others would pay, to have a game more like that. i discovered so many songs that still love today because of TTR. that is also what made the game fun and made songs worth replaying to get a perfect score on. im uninstalling this. really let down.
Don't pay for no ads!!! You still get ads that pop up constantly. They're not videos you have to watch and you can close right out of them but I get 3 in a row sometimes. Overall a great game but don't waste your money on the ad free upgrade.
Right, I'd really enjoy a high contrast theme. Purple on purple loses me. I would also very much like the music video fo be optional as it effects my phone's performance to run a game and a video simultaneously. But you guys have done well and I hope to see you restore TTR to it's former glory.
I'm really glad you guys came back with this new game. I used to play this back in like 07 when the first came out hahaha. I was hooked on it ever since and still this game gives me good memories back to FFR. Love it and I know the next person to download it will as well.
Just doesn't bring back the same spirit. The developers are showing to be greedy and are trying to just cash out. Intrusive ads. Trying to use crowd funding with such a high goal will never work.
Nothing like tap tap revenge.. the old one used to have all these free songs you could get and it would have an awesome cool layout for each song.. now it all looks and sounds the same. Am not impressed.
It's still not TTR but it's way better than the other clones I've tried. This is one of those few where the "notes" actually sync in to the music and don't just randomly appear. Plus it seems to have a better music selection than the others. But the UI doesn't seem very responsive; it's difficult to click some buttons, for example. And those ads! Still, I really appreciate this game.

I would forgive the game if it was at least on beat. I found myself just randomly tapping at the notes most of the time. The holds are the worst and just seem to miss whenever they feel like it. There are so many better rhythm games out there to play on your phone, so don't bother playing this one.
