You Are 100k Light Years Away

I imagine Van Gogh looking out of the asylum window on a starry night and in a moment of lucidity he pictures the stars as a chart of the distance between him and the people he loves. I was missing someone while playing this game, I got affected by the music and the words that would come out at every checkpoint. I ended up crying a bit. Though it may be simple, I find 100k vividly beautiful and quite engaging. In support of it's creator I paid for the option to remove the ads. This is all so lovely but not to be played when feeling melancholy.

I really wanted to like this game but I couldn't. Beautiful looking and sounding game but it sacrifices playability for esthetics and I understand that the ads are necessary to generate revenue and keep the game 'free' but in this case they completely run the atmosphere the game is trying to build. I would consider paying for the game but I don't know what I'm paying for as the tutorial is minimal. Is the game always minimal or is there progression of game play via the levels? How do the levels work? There appears to be 2 progression maps but I can't make sense of them. The fonts are beautiful but hard to read...

This is a game with trying. I personally find it unappealing because I don't like games where it's your reaction that is judged. I want to chill, I like planning, strategy and tactics. This game consists mostly of thoughtless, though purposeful, well-times tapping. It's meditative, but not too my taste. I find games without saving mechanism annoying. It's a nice game. I'm not its target audience.

Perfect in every way except two: 1) there's a bug which means that sometimes, when a game starts it will then restart on tap. I can provide more info if needed. 2) the Reset button is in a terrible place, and it's much too easy to tap, and there's no confirmation!

There is no "please rate the app" popup in the game, but i came back to the store just to give it 5 stars. It's a simple game, but the classiest of them all!! The music, the theme, the messges! Just Perfect!! Also, if you are missing someone, it might as well make you shed some tears while playing, but the game gives out such a peaceful mood that it doesn't bother you. 5 stars

I tried this game because I love Van Gogh and Starry Night in particular is my favorite. I was really disappointed by this game. The controls are just too finicky and no matter how hard I try I can't get past the tutorial level and don't really have the patience to sit there and bang my head against a wall. Gorgeous graphics though.

There's some kind of extra music-thing that shows up when I play, and won't stop, even when I leave the game. I have to completely close the app to get it to stop. Other than that, it's a beautiful game

This game is so soothing and utterly beautiful. The music is simply ethereal and haunting in all the right ways and the game pulls you into a pensive lull. I find the ads are not that bad, they only appear after you lose, and you can instantly click away. I love the graphics so much as Starry night is a favorite of mine. I hope to see more games like this that take their time to be thoughtful.

Nice game, love the aesthetic. Graphics are important to me. For some reason seeing the word "shiness" instead of "shininess" is disconcerting to me. That didn't effect my review though, it's just me being nitpicky.

I don't mind adds but the idea of trying to relax and having porn adds come up is too far. What s shame.

I love the aesthetic of the game, the music is beautiful, playing is really soothing but the stars disappearing just when i'm about to reach them is so frustrating!!!! Also the adds ruin the mood but i guess it's necessary to keep the game free

i purchased this game (cz i dnt like ads)...one day suddenly the electricity went out, luckily my phone was charged...m staying far away from home due to work..had a breakup recently...ws missing my parents too...as the lonliness crept in ..i put on my bluetooth headphones n played this game for hours..i felt at peace..

I actually like this game, it's relaxing and helps to quiet the mind. I gave it 1 star because I paid to get the ads removed and it didn't go through. I waited a couple of days, emailed to creators about it and never got a response from them, this is now a week later. If I ever hear from them and get refunded or the ads get removed, I will then change my rating.

Very original. But like all your other games the white text is largely unreadable. Far too small.

I honestly love this game a lot although all you can do is to move your star but it is very relaxing and the music is amazing!!

LOVE! it's great to find games that really focus on art so it's beautiful to look at and the music is relaxing at the same time game play is easy and fun yet challenging absolute 10/10
