About HexSLayer - Territory Control

HexSLayer is a territory control game where the player's goal is to take control of the entire map.

You start as the green player. Each turn, each hex you control on the map gives you 1 gold and stores it in the local village. For 10 gold, you can click on a region you control and purchase a villager by dragging and dropping from the shop in the lower right hand corner. Villagers can only be placed in squares within, or adjacent to a consecutive region.

Upgrade your villagers by dragging another villager on top of an existing villager. Villages upgrade into Wizards, Wizards to Swordsmen, and Swordsmen to Knights. Be careful, as upgrading your units increases the upkeep in the region.

In order to attack a hex, or any adjacent square such as a village, you need to have a unit of 1 level higher. Wizards can kill villagers or villages, knights can kill wizards, etc. A villager cannot attack a square containing or protected by another villager.

Can't play at all.

Clumsy UI, income debt doesn't actually kill enemies, ugly colours. I'll just stick with Slay.

I70%
by I####:

This game, while nothing new or innovative, is still enough to hold my attention. Increasing detail in the character models, adding gaps into the maps, and a more appealing look would definitely make for a higher rating

Z70%
by Z####:

I love slay, but this is simply a poor clone by comparison, the controls are bad and the map is locked at a single area. I hope the author makes improvements, but until then just buy slay.

Although definitely not a finished product, this game is kind of like a sudoku version of rts.. Simple mechanics hide a fun strategy game.

Almost died because i didnt see a biker crossing my way while playing. Would like to see harder ais for 5 stars

Just needs to be fleshed out more: random maps, ai difficulty selection, maybe refine unit placement (highlight the tile a unit is going to be placed on perhaps). Otherwise a fun old concept. Looking forward to further updates.

I really love this game. The reddish guy is really hard.

U70%

Needs a better ui on phones, and a tutorial still. :)

N70%
by N####:

Good concept, but below average execution. Buttons are small, no help file to explain how to play. AI cam quickly overwhelm you if you get a poor start.

After 10 min of trying to click one guy to the next hex i gave up. Need more precise control for click and drag.

Knockoff of Sean O'Connor's Slay, except missing a good UI. I'd like to encourage the author to keep working on it.
