Pirates and Traders: Gold!

I feel the game is a great way to enjoy my free time. Its easy to play and the story can be interesting. I feel there is content in Pirates and Traders 2 that i wish was incorporated in to this paid version. Some of those things was the imagery used for clothing, customizing the look of your pirate with facial hair, head and face. Little features like customization make that much better for.

It's a challenging game and you need luck and skill to progress well. My only complaint is that dock boats are expensive and you could just take most of them thus making it pointless. Great buy.

Fun. Strategy. But confusing I have no complaints about the story or the controls. It is engaging, fun and addicting. The only thing I have problem with is crew level when attacking town. There is no information about what is your crew level or natives level compare to the defend side except numbers and neither is what the info about their leaders.

This game is pretty difficult and that's why I've enjoyed it so much. I've had my character's killed, or hung, whatever, it's always because I took a chance instead of playing it safe. Like any form of gambling, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. I'm not giving up.

This is a great game which I find myself playing for long periods of time, but you should be able to have more than one ship or at least be able to call upon troops of the nation you have rank in at a certain rank to make it easier to take ports which are nearly impossible to defeat.

A decent game but very inaccurate in some parts. For example I've done the research and privateers working for a country at war did not keep their notoriety with that country's enemies once the war was over. I find that very frustrating as I have been sunk or caught and hung trying to pay off my notoriety after a war is over quite a bit. Plus privateers were officially sanctioned so they wouldn't have been put to death on the charge of piracy. In other words, pirates were criminals, privateers were not. Also the in game currency doesn't come at a quick enough income rate so I end up broke way more often than necessary. It'd be nice if players could either customize their own unique flag at the beginning, or if there was atleast a wider selection of flags to choose from. Other than that it's an ok game.

Good game What is the point of Portugal though? Peeps complaining about going bankrupt must be noobs. Buy gems north of Cuba, sell them in Havana. Mechanics are a bit off; gems are the only product worth trading past the first few months. Found an exploit where after sacking a town so that only the merchant's tab is available (plunder function), you can leave & come back for the next few turns before the town recovers. While the plunder function is still active, the town will buy goods at inflated prices Gets a bit pointless after gaining the Manilla Galleon: end game is weak if you're not IronMan; almost impossible if you are. No point in having more than 300k. Really looking forward to PT2 though. Will defs buy

Not a quick game that uu can come and go with, proper game for a mobile. Great fun and worth every bit of the money.

I used to play this game years ago my desktop I purchased the mobile app a year or two ago but stop playing it after a few issues. Unfortunately, I don't recall what those issues were. So, I start playing it again and found some inconsistencies right off the bat including starting off every single ship I would run across would be fully staffed galleon or warship. Hence, it made it difficult to start the pirate's life if all you can do flee or surrender. In my last game, however, I did manage to go to battle with a ship of similar strength. After boarding I was winning the fight with 78 men to 8. I expected when I hit the fight button again I would win, but the message stated i manage to kill seven of their sailors. The next sentence however stated that my sailors weary of the fight surrendered. What? There is nothing more frustrating than playing a game that has bugs or a very bad sense of humor.

Either it says get location error or after about an hour on a save i cant move without encountering a storm or a ship so pretty much i cant go anywhere cuz it wont move

Great game.. Love it its so fun and habit forming.. So grab a glass of Cola and Rum and play this game.

Gr8 turn based game. Reminds me of sid meyers pirates. Been playing for a yr now. Always look forward to updates on stories ect which makes the game more exciting. Hope you guys are working on more ideas. Keep up the good work

More islands on map required. Need more interaction. Also there should be a place to see my current jobs. More ships should be added instead of just one ship, one should be able to use a full fleet of ships

It's a good time killer and it's nice that's it's not a data killer. And you can't delete and create games as much as you want.

I had 12 skill points and i started to put it on strength and it reached 50% then when i put 1 more skill point it resets it to lvl 1. Please developers, fix this issue because once in every 10 play throughs i get a nice warship and luck is going with me and when the game does that it really demoralize me. Cheers

This game looks like Sid Meier's classic Pirates! ...but is is not. This game lacks the fighting action that made that game great. The ship to ship fighting and the swordfight sequences are simplified to a few button pushes that left me unsatisfied. Playing this game is like returning to a past love who has grown mean and ugly...(feeling sad)

The only real gripe I have is there is almost no way to get out of debt it seems. I took a small bank loan and now cant catch up! Also, I wished I could have more than one ship in my party to use or sell.

Super fun and addictive when working properly. However on 2 separate occasions my save got "corrupted" and my game wouldn't open, causing me to lose all my character data and more importantly, the ship I had fought so hard to "requisition". I won't play if every time I progress I have to restart due to software problems.

Why in the hell do you have this set ao that 9 OUT OF 10 PORTS HAVE THAT INSPECTION CRAP. I lose 300 or 600 gold EACH F×CKING TIME and typically STILL LOSE ALL OF MY GOODS. It's insane. I mean this could be fun, but christ wtf you decided on the frequency of inspections???????

Simple but surprisingly deep gameplay. Every choice - to attack or distance self, to trade in port A or risk time and food travelling to port B for potentially more money, to align with or attack certain nation's ships, etc - matter in this game. If you like history and/or are fascinated by the Golden Age of Piracy, this one's a winner.

This game is that good that I am actually writing my first ever review! Game play is perfect story lines are perfect and you can pretty much do what ever you want! Can't wait for some updates more storyline more ships and more fun!!!

Captures all of the magic from the old NES Pirates! None of the tedious Sid Meier's time-eating garbage like on the Xbox version.

I bought the full version but I am still stuck on the free version. Is there no way to import saves? Or tell the free version to stop telling me to get gold? I have gold..
