Overall, it was worth my time. It was easy to learn and there is a wide choice of difficulty. Music stops and starts. Would be nice if it was always in background. Buying from market needs to be more organized. Maybe have a list with the info inside each. Individual progress is nice. Could equipped items show in shadow? Just a thought.

Look people, before you answer the hype that this game is EXACTLY like Sid Meier's Pirates, it is not. The game is awesome, and I like it a lot, but before you download and then trash talk it read it's description carefully. It is a fun game, with lots of fun options. Absolutely loved it and when I have the chance will purchase the gold edition! Keep up the good work guys!

I never do reviews but this game deserves it way too much. I'm addicted. It'll be awesome if you expand the map and add more on the multiplayer feature.. maybe adding pvp would be greatt

It's like the PC game I played as a child, but for smart phones. You aren't locked out of any features, and can play the entire game without taking surveys or downloading other random apps or buying garbage. Everyone else tries to over spam you with ads, while this developer has more respect for me which is exactly why I will be supporting them with the purchase of the newer version: Pirates & Traders Gold.

Actually kind of fun. But I cannot find what my current job is if I forget it. Would like an active task list. And perhaps a more easily viewed relations board. Instead of reading 15 different relations

It's too hard to learn how to play. Everything is so complicated. I installed it but cant play.Nothing is understandable. There is a lot of history which is very boring to read.

Nice graphics. Decent missions. But keep catching scurvy everytime I leave port. Ports hard to sack. I captured the manila galleon and got full crew. Then I attack a 1-1 Cayman port. It totally failed when I tried a sneak attack. You people need to make this easier.

This game takes me back to the good old days of PC strategy games. I got busy and didn't have time for them anymore, but this games makes it too easy for me.

I'm having a blast playing this game and no matter the situation from getting completely wrecked in the first 3 months and then gaining back what's lost is a great balance. I gave it 4 overall because I know it can be even better. It took me quite awhile to discover the "tasks" part of my journey. Could I recommend a more obvious shortcut to see multiple tasks? I think that would be much appreciated. I'll keep playing and continue to support and recommend as well, however an extension to IOS would definitely help you guys, got a couple friends who would love this game but wrong appstore. Anyhow, great game guys. To be continued. UPDATE: Still playing pretty consistently and starting to notice things I wish it had. I'm now a Vice Admiral for British and when I come across other British ships they still warn me to keep distance? I wish there were more player/AI integration to be recognized as a higher rank and maybe even raid and pillage with the rest of my regimine.

Not terrible, not great. Not very well explained in the initial setup or beginning of the game. The tutorial messages cover up the buttons it is explaining which makes it hard figure out at first. Not my style of game.

Good game! Fun as heck and very challenging at first. The difficulty settings are more than just "you get hurt more easily". 5 stars it's great, can't wait for the sequel to be finished

Two thumbs up...! There's should be more options as a Pirate... like kidnaping governors and hold them for ransom or the governor's daughter or son or wife; those sort of swashbuckling activities. And have the option to follow long lost treasures...

How the neck do you use skill points? Guide is 90% useless. Ohhhh ... click on the guy... female pirate. That makes sense?

Great game although one glitch so far the mission Ware your asked to help some posh guy and there is a thief. At the door he doesn't die he had no health I hit several more times and shot him nothing I eventually lost third time same results

it is very good. I played as trader, the successful nation's commander and pirate as well. There were something I like to see in the future, such as, fighting contest between you and someone, fleets of ship, plunder and then clarifying a defeated town as our own (piracy action) and...may weapons that we bought can be used as equipments to better plundering a town. Oh, lastly, could you "twist" a little bit of the history. I meant, do please add Portuguese ports. Thanks again, and good luck.

This is a great game, I've played a lot of games like this one and I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked and didn't crash unlike so many other games like it, I got addicted to it in just a couple of hours. I suggest you get it.

Its a good game which brings you to the 1600s Carribean. It has a good historical accurateness, game play ang story. The town seige is hard to win.

I really enjoyed this. Been playing it for almost a month and it never gets old. Just one thing, i hope there will be new ships in the next update but still it is a 5 star rating for me.

Great Time Killer Too. Can Save Game & Resume Whenever. Play Only 1 Minute Or For Hours At A Time. You Have The Choice Of Game Modes With Either "Iron-Man" Or "Fountain Of Youth" (Never Grow Old/Die). ..... Also The ONLY "Ad Pop-Up" Is During Game Launch ONLY. So You Could Play Undisturbed From Pop-Ups During Game. ..... The Only Downside To Free Version Is Not Having Certain Features & Options Paid Version Gives You. However You Can Still Have Tons Of Fun & Still Be Greatly Challenged With Free Version.

If it wasn't so hard to be successful in the game, I would like it a lot more. It's hard to judge if you will win a battle against a ship and when you think you will, a Spanish sloop rapes you like come on

I cant wait to see if they allow us to have are own colony I hope we get a far array of options to play around with maybe a govern position or be able to send a invasion fleet or something along those lines but I realy hope this game uses the ability to do what you want

This game was terrible. I got randomly attacked by a French Brigantine with my Barque and I had a veteran crew, but my ship wouldn't move so I got sunk. Also, whenever I try a surprise attack with my veteran combatants, someone screws up and I lose almost my whole freaking crew!

Yes this was perfect. But i hope you can have missions like tracking down smugglers to increase your reputation from countries. Or join a pirate fleet to take down forts

I like the continue even if you die feature, but after a few days of playing I'm just fed up with having to sneak into ports & getting arrested and giant, nasty boats that I can't run away from.

But pleased add a few things like with equipment add it to the guy to show, add more options to the commerce saga, make a option to become a governor to rule over your own place ,and to make business on land and such. Besides this I love the game best mobile game thanks for it.

This is probably my favourite game I've ever played on mobile. I WAS SO SAD WHEN I HAD TO RETIRE IN 1700 THOUGH I HAD SUCH A GOOD SAVE

I really enjoy this game. I just have a couple issues. One; the game shuts off occasionally for no apparent reason. Two; there should be more personal items.

This game is based off of an old x-box game called sid Meyers pirates. that was o.k. this game, however, is terrible.

I just wish that if you get to a level you could become a governor and then run the town or you could go to the north

It's a really great game, fun and a really good time killer but I didn't like the fact that women were not as important as men in terms of piracy

One event caused me to lose. No matter what I did, I would of lost. I tried to escape, but nope! I had a full ship, still lost.

I think it is OK but if u get hated or disliked by all forts it makes u retire fix that plz

Could you please add how old are we and when we lost something i.e. hand to see that for real? And could you add like face and body not to be just some shadowy figure? Otherwise its greeeeeeaaaaaat!!!

I don't usually rate apps, but this one is awesome! Great concept and well made, especially for a one man team. All in all, I loved it.
