This game has been created from the game 2048 by Gabriele
Cirulli (http://gabrielecirulli.com/), itself based on 1024 by Veewo
Studio (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/1024!/id823499224) conceptually similar
to Threes by Asher Vollmer (http://asherv.com/threes/).
This implementation use only Kivy framework, and can be played on mobile with
swipes or desktop with keyboard. It uses OpenGL, so it's faster than the HTML version :)

This definitely isn't bad. It is faster than the original, but I have no problem with the speed of the original. And sacrificing nice animations for a faster running game isn't worth it in my opinion.

Achievments not always working (I won game but I haven't Got 1024 block and 2048 achievment) and very irritating is that I can't restart game when sth went wrong

I'm reviewing this based on when my N5 had 4.4 on it. I noticed the disclaimer for not supporting ART, so that's probably why it crashes on launch in the L preview. Just some feedback, but you probably already know that. I don't know if it's a problem with Kivy, but I would like to see this go forward, and ART is the new standard.

Developer, please get this to work with ART. Android L will only have ART, no Dalvik, so soon there will be no choice. This is the only app I have had a problem with so far. Splash screen, then closes.

This is the best 2048 'app' on the Play Store! Please port it to iOS when the iPhone 6 releases. @Andrew Willey: Blame Android. Android uses a different animation system than the web / iOS and thus results in differences in the animation qualities. Even with a fancy quad-core processor and 2GB+ of RAM, Android STILL lags.

The game runs well but I went on vacation and had my phone in airplane mode for a week. Since then I lost all access to achievements and high scores. Clicking on the top right corner of the screen doesn't bring up anything anymore.

I just love the speed of this game, when compared to other 2048 Android versions. I also love the rich achievements and non-cheater filled leaderboard! It's only problem (and it's a big one!) is that it doesn't save game state if the app closes for any period of time. Once this is fixed, it'll be the best one there is (and get 5 stars)!
