A Spiel des Jahres Recommended game, Jaipur is one of the most most well-loved 2-player tabletop games. Jaipur is a fast-paced card game for two players with a blend of tactics, risk and luck. You are one of the most powerful traders in Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan. You and your opponent duel to demonstrate to the Maharajah that you can earn a greater profit than your competition. At the end of a round, one player receives the Maharajah's seal of excellence, and the first player to earn two seals of excellence wins the privilege of being invited to the Maharajah’s court!

Each turn, you can choose to take one card, exchange your cards for other goods, buy the camels needed to transport your wares, or sell at the market. The sooner you sell and the more you sell of a single good at once, the higher your profit.

If you take cards, you have to choose between taking all the camels, taking 1 card from the market or swapping 2 to 5 cards between the market and your cards. If you sell cards, you get to sell only one type of good per turn, and you get as many chips from that good as you sold cards. The chips’ values decrease as the game progresses, but you get increasingly high rewards for selling sets of 3, 4, or 5 cards of the same good at a time, so it’s all about waiting just the right amount of time to make your trade.

You can’t sell camels, but they are integral to trading and they’re also worth a little something at the end of the round, sometimes enough to secure the win so use them smartly!

What are users saying about Jaipur: A Card Game of Duels

The 2 player mode is a bit frustrating with the tilt controls and the precision card poking playing at odds with each other. My wife and I have had to leave several games because of app crashes with no save. Meaning we have to restart each time. I think we would be better off with the physical version but we thought this would have been a better purchase. Otherwise this is a good app for solo and online. Add a save feature please!

P70%
by P####:

When the process is suspended and the game restarts, I lose all my progress in the match I'm in (playing vs AI). Plus I completed the first campaign level and it didn't save my progress automatically. Not worth putting more time in. Cute game though.

J70%
by J####:

Works very well. Campaign, with different rule sets, is fun. Main issue is the online game play needs to allow the players to set their time limits. 30 seconds is too quick!

X70%
by X####:

The gameplay itself is great but the stability of this app is awful. At least half the time when playing the campaign mode the game will crash when I win a match causing me to lose the progress I made.

H70%
by H####:

They hit the nail right on the head with this one. Really quick and easy gameplay and intuitive controls; making the game even more accessible. Keep up the great work as my day.

I love this digital adaptation of the card game Jaipur. Wonderfully done and allows me to play by myself when it and about. My only desire would be the ability to save the game. Sometimes I start a multiple round game and run out of time to finish it, would love to be able to save and pick up where I left off later. This would be great in the campaign and normal play mode. And if you love the app pick up the real card game is based on, one of the best to player games ever!

by N####:

A good adapatation but a bit buggy. The game doesn't always let you swap one card when your hand is full, and campaign charcter events that require payment (e.g. paying to start a revolution) will charge you again if you do not go to the region in red immediately. Otherwise, it is quite a fun game.

by N####:

Make the timer optional or able to increase time. It's too unforgiving. Many have complained in the chat.

N70%
by N####:

It is a great game based on a good board game. My one problem is, I can't copy and paste my very long password and when I type it. It fails.

N70%
by N####:

This board game has been on my list for a while, and now after playing for a few days, I will definitely be picking up the card game!

H70%
by H####:

Great game, good adaptation, but I bought it for pass and play, and the pass and play is unplayable. It's severely buggy; cards flip randomly, selecting multiple cards rarely works, they unselect randomly

X70%
by X####:

Times out, freezes, kicks you out during a game. Total waste of money!

Z70%
by Z####:

I didn't expect much from this game but it came highly recommended and now I'm hooked, so hooked that I need to get a bigger battery

N70%
by N####:

This game repeatedly crashes on my Samsung Galaxy S6. When it crashes, it doesn't save the game in progress. Also, there is a bug where a card in the market line can get stuck outside the line. Pls fix!

N70%
by N####:

Couldn't finish a single game (pass & play). At some point the app always crashes (on my Nexus 5X), and you cannot even recover from where you left (unlike other games let you do).

R70%
by R####:

The AI in the campaign take forever to figure out their move, I could almost take a nap. And it loses some of my progress in the campaign. Not very cool for a pretty fun game, makes it almost not worth playing, too bad i paid for this

Tutorial bug - cannot take single diamond card after camel exchange. On Pixel XL, Project Fi

Tis is awsome watch generikb he is cool on it.

C70%
by C####:

Great adaptation of an engaging card game. The cards look detailed, the campaign is a nice bonus and the pass and play features a clever mechanic. Cards of one player are only revealed to him if the phone is tilted to his direction and if the phone is flat then no cards are revealed at all! I just hope that it can show the total tokens as well.

P70%
by P####:

This is an excellent adaptation of one of the best quick play card games. Thankful for the campaign mode as it's quite addictive. My only complaint is that the bottom of the screen, which shows your score, is cut off on a Nexus 7 tablet. Tends to also run quite hot.

This is a great adaptation of a favorite quick two player game. AI play is satisfying, the campaign option is fun for solo play. Overall the artwork is well done and clean, without bogging down the game. The downside comes from my most anticipated mode: online dual. The makers are going in the right direction by supporting cross platform play, but the only option for play is real time. This means that if myself and a friend aren't in the lobby at the same time, we cannot start a game. Once we do get a game going, if I do something else for more than 30 seconds, I've forfeited the game. Games like Star Realms are a constant on my phone as I can invite an offline friend and play our turns at our own pace (with a 48 hour cut off). All in all this is a great start. Aside from a few random crashes (to be expected with an initial release) , the game runs well and looks great. Just add offline game invite and asynchronous play and this is 5 star material.

Two requests: 1) Please enable external storage. 2) Please add the ability to copy / paste username and password via clipboard (which would also solve other user's request to use password vaults). Without this you are encouraging the use of overly simple passwords (and therefore compromising security) with Asmodee accounts. I won't login without this ability. Thanks.

Big fan of the card game, but the pass and play seems pretty buggy. Occasionally but revealing my card to me, even on my turn. I can still make sales but can't see. Also can't see my score in pass and play

B70%
by B####:

Playing it on my old samsung galaxy tab 3 10.1 and it frequently crashes mid game. Gameplay is excellent and matches the card game perfectly but difficulty, even on hardest level, is too easy.

B70%
by B####:

If you're looking to play multiplayer, forget it. A strict 30 second turn timer for multiplayer which is not configurable and kicks you out of the game when it expires? Are you kidding me? Not to mention that the other player is not informed that you've been booted and they're now playing AI. I've been playing with someone and have had my game freeze while the other player begins playing AI without any prompt. This is absolutely abysmal and is not at all ready to sell. Note: "we _may_ add some custom time limits in the next versions" is not good enough.

Great tutorial, fun quick-play game, with lush graphics and terrific UI. This is on par with the great version they made of SPLENDOR and of MYSTERIUM.

Great adaptation of the card game. The controls and visuals are very good! Works great online and local. The campaign mode also is very nice with a map and stuff to unlock!!! Very happy that I can now play this game on my tablet.

Stupid account login prevents using password vaults. Can't play

N70%
by N####:

Two MAJOR issues. One, please change the font of the points and cards remaining. I seriously can't see thin black on brown. How about white? Two, please allow an option to remove the timer for online games if agreed by the opponent. I just want to play with my wife and have yet to complete a game because i cant deselect something I've accidentally selected to do a different action.... Asmodee - thank you for addressing my comment. Yes, one star is quite negative however the timer renders the game essentially unplayable for how I want to play it. I have no interest in a single player mode. The games quality is good but if I can't play it then that doesn't really matter. I will update my rating as appropriate when timers are changed.

B70%
by B####:

It's good and has a great implementation, especially for pass abd play, however there are a few issues, firstly it crashed when trying to trade camels, secondly you can't see which tokens you've taken (that I've seen anyway)

N70%
by N####:

Top implementation, one wish though: please add option to play with friends via friend list or something like that.
