Mastermind (Code Breaker)

Just like the board game except, as has been pointed out, you can't rearrange the pieces, once you put the last piece in place, before your guess is judged. Also, the default setting is set to Hard with duplicate colours enabled, which isn't ideal for young children, so it's worth going in and changing these before you start playing.

One of my favorite childhood games, but always required a second person smart enough to play. A game of logic and deduction. Unless you just get a lucky guess, forces you to think about your moves

The point of the game is great, but I don't get it. What the hell are you suppose to do? I get that its an IQ game, but its impossible to figure out. The info button is no help at all

If you want to stay sharp but it should have some form of instructions but its still a really good game. That kills time when I'm pooping

This is great. I'd like to have an option to use 6 colours to attempt Knuth's 5 attempt or fewer approach

I loooove this game but the highscore disappears before it shows me anything...fix this problem and ull get 5 stars

Ideal game to play on this wild windy autumn day in the Yorkshire Dales. Played this game when I was child. Now today at 50, I still find this game interseting

Red and white are reversed white means right color wrong spot, red means right color right spot but still the best mastermind app.

Good pass time game. The colours used are vibrant and easy to distinguish which is very important for this type of game. If you like puzzle games that challenge you but not time consuming then this is one to try

A nostalgic, challenging, mind clearing game. Very good for improving your memory... we all need this feature nowadays... i definitely recommend it for people of any age.thanks

On LG P880 4x's HD screen

The best of the mastermind style games. It gives you lots of options and the ability to play against another player. I wish it didn't use Scoreloop.

Very easy to beat most of the time

Just like my childhood, except the batteries can run out.

I used to play mastermind a lot when I was younger, this version is just as good and works perfectly on both my Samsung phone and tablet :-) thank you :-)

Played several of the Mastermind apps. This one is the most user friendly. Color selection is easy and the pegs work the same as the board game.

Wish it kept your score up, instead resetting everytime you leave.

Love this but would like to be able to hold scores in app. And what does Raise score do/mean?

Simple to play, but still a good challenging game. Each round is fairly quick, and the game helps to keep your mind sharp.

It's good but I wish you could do multiplayer with 2 diffrent devices not just 1

The game works well, hints correctly and can be played quickly. I cant seem to view or record high scores High scores though .screen just flashes when you try to view or submit score

I loved this game as a child! I still have the board game. So glad there's an app for it.

Itd be a lot better if the indicator pins actually represented each slot and not randomly. Several games i played i noticed this.

Excellent little game, not 5 star just because of some layout problems on my android and because doesn't show the online scores ladder

The score at the top is jumbled, and cannot read it. Also it would be nice to put the colors in and have the chance to look at them before they are submitted automatically.

It will be good if you add option to save and resume game.

Would give 5 stars if your game persisted for more than 1 session.

Not a lot of customization, but works well on Samsung Galaxy S3.

Lots of user control, so I can make up my rules just like when I was a kid with the physical game. Faithful rendition of the classic. One teensy request, is for a submit button instead of auto-submit.

Yellow and green take a bit of getting used to but as good and frustrating as the pocket game my sister and I played with as kids ( 46 and 48 young )!

The score and time display overlap and do not show clearly.

This game has been a favorite of mine since the original plastic two person version, before home computers. Great graphics. Great to have a handy portable version that can still be played as the original two player mode or against the cpu.

Loved this game as a kid, was happy to see it on here! I think it should allow you to have a name on the leader board though instead of calling you just "Player". I don't understand the point system either.

Decent mastermind. Wish it had some stats. But overall good gameplay.

Los of options for difficulty etc, And very ergonomic. Could be improved by adding a tick/cross type set of the colours for an easy way to keep track of which have been eliminated and which confirmed. Cheers
