About WordKick

WordKick is a fun new word game that's incredibly simple to play. The goal is to change one four-letter word into another four-letter word by changing only one letter at the time.

Casual Mode
Relax and complete words without any pressure. There are no clock or move limits in this mode, so feel free to move at your own pace!

Challenge Mode
In challenge mode, you have a limited amount of moves to solve each word—and watch the clock! The more quickly you solve each word, more time you have. The game is over when you run out of moves or time.

Time Trial
Create as many words as you can before time runs out!

Great game, beautifully designed.

L70%
by L####:

I keep coming across repeated words, a larger dictionary would be nice.... other than that the only tiny flaw is the letter selection ui, kinda tedious .. especially when in time trial...

U70%
by U####:

Great design, no freezes or problems or annoying elements, and it's nice to see such clear instructions for how to play. Only thing to critique is the same words repeating every so often in the "casual" games.

B70%
by B####:

Awesome and fun game, but when I get a word wrong, it says 'Word Kick has stopped working' and restarts the app. If you can fix this, it will be brilliant. (Nexus 5)

K70%
by K####:

I liked it, but I hate the fact that whenever you quit the app, you can't continue your game later on.

U70%
by U####:

Saw this on all about android and am not sorry I rushed to install. It's a great little weird game, can't wait to let the kids have a try.

U70%
by U####:

Just a great time killer. Clean interface, simple concept, perfectly put together. I'm going to donate, and I'd love an option of a paid version that adds multiplayer through Google's game services.

K70%
by K####:

The interface is clunky, as you have to scroll through the alphabet for each letter you change. The other issue is the small dictionary for acceptable words. I never know if my word will be accepted as valid or not, even if I can find it in Merriam Webster's. In short, it's amusing for a few minutes but the flaws outweigh the benefits and I deleted it quickly.

Y70%

This is confusing to say the least, if you're like me and like a game that's fun and entertaining then don't get this.

A nice, straightforward take on the classic Chain Letters game and a lot more diverse than the Word Chain equivalent on Play Store. However, it loses a star for not having an option to save/resume your game.

Its a fun game but I switch to text and go back and it crashes. As a programmer its frustrating that a npe hasn't been fixed by now.

What I can't just give stars anymore?

K70%

Its by pure chance that I found this jem. Now I can't seem to let go of my phone!

K70%

How did they make such a good game that also has vocabulary

K70%
by K####:

Simple UI, its such a simple gameplay but very puzzling to figure out.

I'm on android 4.4.3 on nexus 5 stock. Every time I misspelled a word, the app will crash. Please fix!!!

Four stars due to force close when an invalid word is kicked.

M70%

I have 6 android devices all running kit Kat. This game crashes on all of them every single time you make a mistake.

Suggestion: Perhaps swiping left over the letter tiles could quickly revert back to the original letter so players dont have to rotate back to the old letter to start spinning a different slot? Or spinning another slot would automatically switch to that one and revert all other changes? Also, allowing to select a three- or five-slot game might be cool.

M70%
by M####:

Scrolling through alphabet on a small square is more frustrating than thinking of the words.

M70%
by M####:

Good idea but changing the letters is a pain and I keep getting the same words

X70%
by X####:

This game seems very clever at first, but the shuffling through letters quickly becomes annoying and you feel as if you're getting challenged with the same word combinations again and again. The leveling system is also pointless as it only counts per run which means I might as well just play casually or timed. There is a lot more that could of been done. Leaderboards, profiles, better word challenges, and better ways to input would greatly benefit this game.

X70%
by X####:

Decent game. Great, minimalist visual design. However, changing letters is a huge annoyance and sucks the fun out fast. It would be better and faster if I could just type.

X70%
by X####:

Very good game especially if your not too tired : )

X70%

Actually quite enjoy this. different to other word games...

X70%

Great game, beautifully designed.

V70%

Good but the same words come up to much.

X70%

What a great game .... addicting and fun!!

D70%
by D####:

Quick with bug fixes, thanks! This game is fun.

G70%
by G####:

And challenging too...

X70%
by X####:

The game is awesome, addicting, and fun and the UI is clean and elegant- but after only fifteen minutes of play, it seems to have completely run through its entire library of words. While the order was random, it was perfectly clear that I was getting the same word pairs over and over. Makes it useless really fast.

U70%
by U####:

Fun game at first, but it gets repetitive fast. Only 4-letter words, and mostly in cutesy pairs (fish>lake, cold>fire) which get reused all the time.

X70%
by X####:

Nice game, but changing the letters is a pain. Maybe a better implementation in the next update..and Holo design

X70%
by X####:

Great game, but with two problems. First, changing letters is annoying and tedious. Second, leveling up takes too long. Nonetheless, I enjoy this game and will keep playing.

K70%

One of the best puzzle i've ever played. Suggesting to all age groups for expanding vocabulary.

X70%
by X####:

I was drawn to this game for one reason, adherence to the Android design guidelines and knowing where and how to bend them. Holo white is visually appealing. The game is well written and is a lot of fun to play. Hope you include online challenge mode and multiplayer soon

X70%
by X####:

The game itself is beautifully designed, but I think there are areas for improvements. Changing letters is a chore (you have to scroll through them) and the levelling could use some tweaking.

X70%
by X####:

This game is beautiful but I personally didn't think it was very fun. I love word games but this particular one just wasn't up my alley.
