Battle for Donetsk

Battle for donetsk is good game with a serious anti war message about the ukraine conflict, if you like games that are both fun and serious then download it.

Yeah game is fine, but the fact that you chose to turn a 4 month long battle into a mobile game is pretty offensive. I get the message and see that you had your hearts in the right places but if you wanted a way to get word out about the war this wasn't it.

TWoM it Isn't. This game is one of those "Single Line" Strategy games where two factions with bases on either side of the screen deploy troops and powers to push across the No Man's Land to the other base. While others have put spins on the genre- like Warfare 1917/44, this one plays it very straight. But it does it very well. The graphics are good, the play is good and bug free, each unit and power has its' place, the ability and it all comes together very well. The main quirk-is that the game starts in a "ceasefire" mode. I won't spoil it. Problems are that the buy buttons are not labeled, so you might not know what you're getting until you buy, there are no unit stats post game (solider deaths don't matter?) and that FIRST AID DROPS end the ceasefire. Regarding the message... I suggest a good counter is the late, great RJ Rummel. Suffice it to say, the violence and destruction caused by a despotic regime are often greater than that caused fighting. it. PS: As the descendant of Il Duce's victims, those who call the Ukrainian government Fascist do not know what Fascist means.

I liked it i was playing my first time and accidentally pressed a button and it said cease fire broken then i started over and waited for the enemy

A game that has only one true ending that pictures war that tells the true side of violence.

Every time i win the battle i lose beacause casulties are to high even if it takes me 15 seconds

Slow, boring, repeatability of only 2 teams..... that's it.

I win the battle, but lose the war. Though I couldn't find any precise instructions inside the app, like about the types of units and how to save more.

I played this looking for entertainment. I got it and more. This is truly a peace of art. Great game. And great message.

I like how you made it realistic. About like real life on goings in the world. It helps the player open there eyes and question what goes on the real world. Thank you.

I honestly thought it was going to just be another war game but i loved the true message at the end whether YOU "win" or "lose" i thought it was interesting to see that message after i deployed the first riflemen.

The political context aside, it's just another game where you send waves of soldiers. I have played many such on kongregate. The graphics are fine, so 4/5.
