Transmission for Android
I love the game. A really good puzzle game to keep you busy. The only reason this is losing 1 star is because there are no hints. You can't have a puzzle game without any hints. I've been stuck on 3 levels because I can't figure out how to use all the data without crossing the signals. Please put a hint system in this.
The first 4 sections were very challenging yet fun. The game was unique and addictive. But when you hit section 5 (satellite), it just gets ridiculous. It's too much and loses its fun. They should have stopped while they were ahead... If all the levels were like section 4 (Broadcast), the game would be an amazing 5* game that I'd gladly pay for. What a shame =( [note: I personally had no crashing issues like others reported]
This is a great puzzle game where you have to think logically about what to do and spatially about how to do it. It starts simple to show you the concepts then quickly becomes complex. Some trial and error can get you through but you'll need to really think to meet the optional objectives. The presentation is fantastic, too.
Transmission is a very fun and addicting puzzle game. My only issue with it is that it does not seem to connect to Google Play if you try it from another device. Clicking the ribbon on the title screen still shows my previously gained achievements, but I have to play through a lot of levels again.
Progress though many well designed levels moving packets of information to complete network objectives. Start with point to point telegraph and proceed through telephone relays, broadcast antennae, satellite and cellular netwprks. Finishing up with an advanced set of puzzles encompassing all previous technologies. It took me a week to get all 146 stars, quite a challenge!
It's got a great concept, a very good implementation and a beautiful appearance.. Plus it doesn't intrude on my gameplay.. There is no need to know about tech to play this game.. The learning curve is smooth and the puzzles become fairly challenging.. Unlike most games these days, this is a game I'll keep playing for a long time..
Love this a game. It is sometimes frustrating especially when you press the back button if you lean your palm to far over (depends on your device). A very simple but hard puzzle game. Never saw a ad. Took a long time to beat too. But hopefully they add more levels. Please devs?
Learning a ton of cool information on the history of communication systems. Definitely a game worthy of a player who wants to be challenged. Please do not make it easier for cheaters or people with money to burn by adding hints or, worse yet, paid power-ups. The greatest gratification is knowing this game is really hard for cheaters who slept through college classes that they should have been awake for. Just my two cents.
I love this game. Starts simple and builds step by step to become gratifyingly challenging. To address something in Anand Kumria's review: I think it's deliberate that you can do the same level multiple times to pick up all the stars. I found some levels which (research suggests) are just not possible to complete with 3 stars in one go. Level 3-7 for example. It seems a little unfair to set a challenge that can't be achieved, but now that I know I can work with it.
I remember playing the first few introduction levels and wondering when the challenge would begin - a short-lived thought as I got stuck for a bit not long after! This game will properly test your noodle and have you loving every minute of it, a definate must-play!
The animation is very beautiful and the gameplay is interesting but a little too easy especially in the first sets. However, the game becomes increasingly difficult in the computer network set. I, don't know why it is not compatible with my Galaxy tablet, which is really a pity.
The very odd times it doesn't crash on my galaxy note, it is quite enjoyable. Unfortunately these are way too few and far between. Would happily rate higher if it was stable. Over 6 months since initial comment and still constant crashes, finally decided to uninstall.
No ads anywhere, beautiful layout, challenge but fun puzzles and cool sound and visual effects make this a great game that I would have spent money on. Only drawback is that if you are good at games like these you will most likely complete this in only an hour or two.
Nice graphical style. Sound and lengthy animations gets annoying quite quickly. The puzzles are the big problem. Non intuitive rules and variations. The communication theme seems applied afterwards, awkwardly. For example, why would information need to loop..?
No ads, tons of content, satisfying mechanics. Def up there with English Country Tune as one of my all-time favorite puzzle games. Sometimes with this one it's good to take a break and try another day, giving your brain time to process a puzzle and come up with a different solution. That's what makes good puzzle gameplay, though.
Now here is something I can call it a game... "Easy to learn, tough to master", yeah you showed it... But I think that you should add hints in the game because at some points it became really hard to figure out... Therefore, 4 stars... Above all nice job... :-)
I love this game the way networking and computers connections. It also implements the real networking topology, but still it keep on crashing while playing this game especially when i receives notifications. Please fix it and make it the best game. Thanks ..
An interesting game with a nice concept that seems very well executed. However it is so unstable (running on a hudl2 tablet) that it is impossible to actually play, typically letting me get halfway through a level before closing. Hopefully something that can be sorted in a future update, but for now completely useless.
Transmission is a prettily designed puzzler with moments of blackout and enlightment. A level may seem impossible, but after quitting and coming back the next day the solution can become obvious. The 'Advanced' levels are highly complicated though. Didn't find any major bugs.
Just 16 stars to collect to open last lvl been best game I've played on for a while. You do get stuck but you put it down for a bit pick back up and carry on. Well done science museum
Addictive, but keeps on crashing, which makes me so crazy that i am uninstalling. Hate Android for those engimatic 'application has exited unexpectly'. Why not to attach a button for 'those geeky infos which can tell whats wrong' :(
I definitely liked the game; it's fun but what i dont understand is that it keeps on crashing like every single time i play it. I've installed approx. 40-50 games on my tablet but this is the first time that I'm experiencing such an issue. If it was not for the crashing i would've given it 5 stars...
Thus showed up in the store as a recommendation, and I thought it looked interesting enough to give it a go. Not looking terribly close at the description but not seeing alarming permissions, I installed and started playing. Honestly, I kept expecting ads, pay to unlock options, or some other solicitation for money, but nothing came. Then I noticed the outdated "Information Age opens Oct. 2014" in the corner of the screen and discovered it's from the Science Museum in London! Excellent game, free or not.
I rarely place toughts on apps, but this 1 is awesome, i love it and i havent finished it yet, it takes a few tries before i get the 3 stars on a level , but not that hard. Btw no stupid ads or the game asking me to review it, niceee
Great game, definitely try it! Sometimes however a broadcast tower won't send a packet of data until you tap the tower. I can't reproduce it perfectly but it has happened multiple times.
I had to work hard to almost beat all of the puzzles. Ultimately satisfying, and kudos for the effort put into elegant design. Anything else from these folks? I'm checking now....
This game is an absolute blast. I am having a lot of fun with it. On top of that, no ads and no microtransactions are involved. The game keeps getting better as you progress and the new mechanics keep you addicted to it.
I'd been unsuccessfully looking for a challenging puzzle app for some time, and now I've found it. Excellent progression from simple to very complex, with varying levels of completion for each puzzle. I just wish there were more. Thank you devs.
To many people in one room can make for a spacious event up in the inner most part of my westerly condominium.but I prefer a classrooms rather than a battle field any day, but Sunday.there is a reason for that. The day of Sunday is at the tail end of a paradox so it will always be in my favor.Ya so why not do something meaningful.
Love it... It Really disconnects me from the outside world... While making my brain work in a logical manner... Love the sounds/music...
Most puzzle games, especially free ones, typically distract me for a short time and then lose my interest for good. Not this one. It is an absolute blast, in every way that you think I mean. No cost, no ads, no excuse not to get it.
I love the game. A really good puzzle game to keep you busy. The only reason this is losing 1 star is because there are no hints. You can't have a puzzle game without any hints. I've been stuck on 3 levels because I can't figure out how to use all the data without crossing the signals. Please put a hint system in this.
As a math nut, I approve of this game, but you don't have to enjoy math to enjoy this game. It's a great puzzle, no ads, no bugs (that could find), and pretty to boot! This game lulls you into a false sense of simplicity, but some of these are seriously complex!
Clean, intuitive user interface. Very stable on Nexus 9. Excellent difficulty curve and clever puzzle design. Free with no ads, no microtransactions, and no nagging! The Science Museum should be proud. Only thing I could ask for is more games of this quality!
It's very addictive. Most of my non tech savvy friends and family can't understand the premise but it's a very rewarding puzzling game game. I actually have grasped a better understanding of networks
Connect transmitters and receivers. Singly and then into complex networks. A slight bug is that you complete things one way ( e.g. minimum number of lines ), and then go back and complete another way. You can end up with *all* stars, even though the solution doesn't meet the criteria
In just two days, I have already reached the Advanced network. I just can't seem to stop myself at all. I love how you have to think each level carefully before dragging the signal. You have to think ahead of time and then transmit the signal. Keep up the good work!
Addicting game and challenging, but it seems coded to just use every bit of CPU available. I had to set a custom profile in my kernel app to cut CPU frequency in half across all cores. Runs just as well that way, but doesn't drain battery as fast. By default, it was consuming 1% every 2 minutes on my Nexus 6.
This game is very cool , but it always forced closed on my intel phone every time less then 30 second , it's annoying , please fix it

This is one of those puzzle games you can play when you have a few spare minutes. Take your time over moves, take back moves (even out of order), and play over and over with a nice game reset option (don't be fooled into thinking you can easily solve a past puzzle). Only problem is you can earn three stars over multiple attempts whereas it should enforce all stars in one round.
