At the beginning the game seemed to be amazing, very much value for the purchase price, but then after enough time to get hooked to the game, the enemy difficulty randomly jumps from very easy to almost impossible. This is when you are assaulted with IAPs in a game that was already paid for... But better weapons, better armor, now gold this game went from a five star game to two stars very quickly, I'm just glad I didn't purchase all three episodes at once! Buy banner saga, much better implementation!

Tons of story, great interface, and a well fleshed out world to explore. If you encounter an issue like I did, don't be afraid to reach out to these guys and ask for help. 2 main issues: performance is rather poor even on high end phone like nexus 6p. Another one is very poor balance. The enemy difficulty spikes more than your team level. What you'd get is constant enemy dodging and your own party rarely dodges or blocks in the mid to late game. I suppose the devs want players to grind for levels and gold as there's iap in game after all. But it's very poorly balanced and leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

Really felt like this game was a labir of love. The devs spent quality time on making a good product. Will definitely be playing the other episodes. Keep em coming!

I want to try this. But why can't the game be put inside my SD Card? I want to put it there as there is more than enough space. Also, I have the latest Android version.

Great blend of Oregon Trail style travel and strategy rpg. I just bought the second game and I'm looking forward to playing through the series.

This game is the most intuitive, well crafted, best thought out game I have ever seen on mobile. The combat is challenging but not impossible, the random encounters won't send you reeling like in other games, the armour, weapon and character designs are marvellous and the world is colossal meaning there's always something else to do. I am genuinely shocked and stunned, after playing, that this game doesn't have over 1'000'000 Downloads. The only thing I could possibly complain about however, is that there are no healing or buff Items, making it quite difficult to complete larger quests or encounters. 10/10 genuinely perfect. P.S: How do I get to the Island Villages on the outskirts of the Map? I can't figure out how.

But other then that its one of the best mobile games I've ever played. Yeah thats right, I got my character a night of pleasure, didn't really want to spend that much gold but whatever.

The game is entertaining and pretty good. I also realize the dev's need to make a profit, so I only took away one star for the in app purchases that I'm not to fond of. All said, if you have a problem or complaint, send an email and they get back to you quick so thinking about it, I think they deserve that 5th star.

There are very few games that completely grab you and pull you into their universe, making them really hard to put down (think "just one... more... turn..." of Civilization fame). There are even fewer such games for mobile devices. This is one of them. It is an intelligent, immersive, gripping, fun game, even for someone like me who has a moderate interest in fantasy and was never huge into pen-and-paper RPG games. Given its simple, attractive, unencumbered mobile format, it's especially suited for a busy working dad like me - it's easy to hop on and off (OK, it's easier to hop on than off, just because it's so immersive...) and I don't have to fire up a console or sit in front of a PC, etc. For 99c, this is a total steal, and the devs absolutely deserve every cent of it.

Difficulty is all over from easy to all of a sudden game over, fun but causes major frustration, little killerz whats the total amount of party members u can get in part one? So far i have 6 now, thxxx, ok kool

The concept, layout, and story of the game is great. Good writing. I was probably too harsh with my earlier complaint which I've since gotten around. I liked the game enough to buy the 2nd chapter today.

I loved this game, it was a great spin on RPG and it was very refreshing. My past review was a 3/5 because it was very difficult, and my resources were low and my fights weren't the best, so I was disheartened at this difficulty, but after a bit of luck and smart decisions you can turn it around. 5/5 this game is truly no risk no reward.

Ive just started adventuring in Illyria and after two days of intense play i can say that this game is awesome. I grew up on Fallout 1 & 2, Diablo 1 & 2, Ice Wind Dale, Baldurs Gate, Planescape Torment, Gorky 17 etc. This game managed to pull me into the story after just 30mins. If you are true lover of rpg games, and if you are looking for gameplay over graphics, this is game for you. There are things that i personally would like to see differently, but i really can't complain on anything. Good job devs!

Good, except I can't find a list of what magical equipment does. Makes some things from Candyman hit - or - miss.

A lil misunderstanding on an issue with the play store they cleared it up faster than any other developer ive seen on good job....still sucks balls new phone and SD card soooooo disappointed... Smh...no refund been waiting 2 months to get this new phone faster more mem....so lame....

The combat is challenging and it may take some time to figure out what character builds and equipment work for you. In my intial review I hadn't found a way to use non-combat skills at will. But after incredibly fast response from the friendly developer my problems are solved! The reply came a mere 11 minutes after I sent my email! I'm loving this game and I'm looking forward to playing episodes 2-3. I'll be keeping an eye out for more games and/or episodes from Little Killerz!

It fully captures the essence of an adventure, which lies in the journey itself, strewn with unexpected encounters that is as much fun as it is perilous. Not sure if its going to be any update on the items and random encounters, but I am surely looking forward to it!

Love this game, but it just keeps crashing mid level and the more I play the quicker it crashes. I'm going to reinstall ans see if that helps, I can't even complete a level now :(

I have spent tons of money on games for my phone and tablet, and being an avid rpg lover I decided to take a shot and get this game.Wow wow wow holy crap wow. This game is amazing it takes the organ trail and old school final fantasy and mashes it into an unbelievable game like I've never played!! I love the story the artwork , everything is spot on with this game.The only gripe I have is, being that I love fantasy role play games I'd like to have seen more variety in the items but all in all 5 outta 5!!!!!

There is enough content in this game to satisfy you for hours. The combat system is fun and dynamic and the Oregon Trail features of managing food and water present a challenge without weighing down the game unnecessarily. The graphics are great, and overall, you can tell the devs put a lot of work into this. I love Tales of Illyria so much I've already bought the sequels as well.

Third review after much playing. Great graphics, great story line, terrible balance. It gets very tiring saving Often, and replaying way too many times in order to get a balanced, challenging battle. To email you to get a "way around" is a poor replacement for a well balanced game. I'll keep playing if you keep balancing! ;)

Fun for a while... until you hit an impossible, unavoidable battle and the game grinds to a stop. Got teleported to a throne room to fight some demon type things and they stomp me a dozen times in a row. Impossible to beat them, and so impossible to progress. Incredibly annoying as I'd been enjoying the game.

An Inretesting take on old school RPGs but it is an extremely unstable game with some cruelly unbalanced features .Random encounters with same level NPCs that get 5attacks per round that stun lock you to death is not fun in anyway. Random crashes every few mins random lock ups to black screen resets to main menu taking you back to the city auto save losing 10-20mins of play.

I know how we all feel about mobile gaming, but this title has changed my mind. It's absolutely Oregon Trail meets Dungeons and Dragons - complete with Dysentery! O.G. elements include: buying provisions, trekking across treacherous landscapes, split second survival decisions, hunting/gathering & more. DnD elements include: leveling, tactics/skill based combat, skill checks, random non-combat encounters, excellent equipment interface & unique armor and weapons. Plus the art is gorgeous! Buy this game!

Before that game I never thought that I can stuck for so long with the mobile game. This game is amazing,it's real fun to play and what is also important it's really not to much bugs compare to the other apps. Great work guys keep it up!

Great game. Great value. It's a time killer in short bursts like on the bus etc. But also draws you in so you'll come back when you have free time too. The IAP are actually 100% optional. Don't miss this just because you see IAP. Some ability descriptions are super vague(berserk vs balanced stance etc), 1 handed Spears seem to be completely absent from the game.

I had some Play Store credits laying around and purchased this on a whim, but I've been pleasantly surprised at how good this game is. This is probably the most immersive RPG experience I've had from an Android game and I'm thoroughly enjoying my first playthrough. I will likely be picking up the sequels when I finish this one.

If you want to play a mobile rpg that has you travlleing, fighting, talking, exploring, everything you're in the right area. It's not perfect, but it is no where near bad. I am loving playing it at the moment, good work to everyone who made it!

Nothing like this on the Android market. If you're a fantasy enthusiast, you need to check this out. The travel system is definitely not cumbersome, despite the resource management. The world is immersive, the characters are unique, and you come to care about your traveling companions. Once you pick this game up, it'll be hard to put down, as you constantly find new and dazzling encounters around the next bend. Worth every penny, I'm shelling out for the sequels too!

One of,if not the best, games I've ever played on a mobile phone. I highly recommend this game and have recommended it to all my friends. It has a great story line and love how the characters are customizable. Love the idea and everything to this game. Would love to see more games like this come out.

The game is put in a lot of challenging and without proper strategic and understanding you will not play through easily but if you are a hardcore rpg type this is a must buy
