Lightbot : Programming Puzzles for Android
4 stars because it is a great game, but most of the levels are trivially easy and solved instantly. Only a few are actually challenging. They need to take the last section and create several more that are harder. Also they could focus a little more on code efficiency and a little less on squeezing into specific limitations. Maybe there should be some levels with a limited total number of commands but you can put them in any number of functions.
Great little game... Bought full version after completing Hour of Code. However, no way of upgrading/unlocking extra challenges in Hour of Code or being able to use saved completed Hour of Code game with new full version. Please advise!
For the price, I expected many more challenges. There's so much unused potential here!
It would be great if somehow one could see or be hinted at the optimum solution after solving one of the difficult puzzles, as I feel at the last ones I have gone quite by chance and trial and error.
I'm a programmer and this is a great app for teaching people the basics about how to think like a programmer. And it's a lot of fun
Mainly for children to learn programming concepts through a game, but equally fun for grown ups
I wish there were more levels. However, the levels that are provided are both challenging and entertaining!
The game is really fun. I only need a savegame (ex-/import), because I use multiple devices. Without I can't sync my progress.
Glad I bought it. Would like more levels
It was really good, can we have some more light bot puzzles
Great little game--teaches basic coding principles, and fun to solve puzzles.
Would pay again to get more puzzles.
Awesome for teaching programming concepts to 8 years old
Brilliant and challenging little game. I
Nicely and efficiently teaching the logic
Great app, only giving 4 stars because I feel it needs some sort of hints system for when you get stuck....sometimes I just have no idea what to do and in order to pass the level I have to look up a solution, which takes away the challenge aspect because most resources just tell you how to pass the level without much explanation as to why. Would be nice to get hints when you are stuck so you can get help without just having the answers given to you. Great app, will change to 5 star if hint system is added
This game has it all! The concept is straightforward and easy to understand, yet the puzzles can be challenging even for grownups. It does a great job at introducing coding concepts without becoming to code oriented. It has no IAP's, it doesn't have ads, it doesn't have pop-ups asking you to rate the game or like it on FB. It just delivers some excellent quality puzzling fun. Worth every penny and definitely worth 5 stars.
I have never imagined someone would really develop a game based on programming concepts. I have been a developer for some years, but this game had few levels which are tough to crack. Great!!
Like the app, and planned to install it on a school set of tablets but trying it on mine it crashes out every couple of sub-levels. Is this usual??
Really wonderful app and my son loves it. But it is missing a key feature to be able to sync between devices. If you want to switch to a new tablet, you will have to start over from level 1. I will be five stars otherwise.
I love this little game. Although this app is intended for children, I think this is a fun way for anyone to learn the basics of writing a program.
The game is really good, but too short. Please make other levels or level editor available.

...not just for kids. I wish there were more levels. I would even pay for additional level packs. 5 stars for new levels.
Only improvement would be more levels!
I got about two hours of playtime out of this. The puzzles were very interesting though!
Great game to train young kids to program
Great introduction to programming
Challenging and addictive
Love it!!!!
As someone with no experience in computer science, it was a very humbling moment when I realized level of problem solving required by what is essentially a children's game.
Fantastic little game but more levels would be greatly appreciated. Even some random ones that may not be solvable would provide a nice challenge.
I was just starting to have fun with this when I finished what I thought was going to be the last challenge mission for the easy levels. Turns out that it's the last mission of the entire game. Not impressed with having spent money on what feels like a demo.
As a computer science major I, naturally, found this game to be a lot of fun. Although this game explicitly involves programming concepts, anyone with an aptitude for logic puzzles will also likely enjoy it. However, I do not feel this app is quite finished enough to be useful as a learning tool. The introductory levels do a great job at introducing some of the basic concepts of programming, but the difficulty ramps up extremely quickly; increasing the quantity of puzzles would likely remedy this.

Please add more info about overall score. So i can compare my score to other people all over the world. There's no point to get any score if you can't compare it to others. It's a good game anyway
May be the most engaging and instructive programming primer I've seen. The puzzles are well conceived and, with guidance, one could learn a bit about mutual recursion, statefulness vs. statelessness, emergent complexity, and algorithms. That said, Lighbot is immensely fun, and no one need dwell on these deeper lessons to enjoy it.
Reminds me of the big trak I never got
Maybe because I am an app developer/programing instructor :-)
