Mordheim: Warband Skirmish for Android
The single most infuriating game I have ever played on mobile. Definitely a Games Workshop game, since money is all they seem to care about. They definitely are not interested in creating a balanced game design. Shooting henchman you hire struggle to hit anything that is not in the open, and even if they do hit, the damage is minimal, while enemy marksmen NEVER MISS. You will always be outnumbered by tougher enemies, and when you lose, your equipment will be stolen off of your fallen men, creating a spiral of defeat. Oh, and forget giving these thieves money for "Fate Points". 3 battles after I paid money to get them, 2 of my characters were dead, one of which was a hired sword which cost Fate Points to hire in the first place. Until the game balance is fixed I will not play this again, but why would they do that when they already have my money? Screw this game and screw everything about these thieving pieces of human garbage.
Great game so far. Really follows the good old tabletop game, but is in a much friendlier mobile version. I really hope they add skaven, ogres, beastmen, carnival of chaos.. Etc Currently it just lacks a little variation. But about everything else is nailed nicely.
Good game...the game itself I enjoy. However, I am VERY annoyed by the tutorial mode. My game "locks" itself into the tutorial whenever you generate a new party...even though I've been playing the game and am familiar with the controls. I'm trying to get a new starting group of characters, and even if I force stop the game, it restarts into tutorial mode. I can click the checks box till my finger gets tired, it'll click off, the box is unchecked, then it starts anyway into tutorial mode. When you're in tutorial mode, you're trapped there until you complete the first mission. Can you PLEASE make tutorial mode easier to get out of and/or convince the app that when you click it off you really do mean to turn it off? Besides that, I'm enjoying the game. Thanks. Frustrated.
Has a great old school feel to the game play. Unforgiving with injuries and deaths but that makes it more challenging. Good prgression for you warband makes it feel like you are improving. Maybe not enough different weapons and equipment. A less static number on each equipment type might make it seem like you are hunting out special items.
The biggest issue of this game is that you must spend real money if you want to heal or revive team members. Unless you are willing to pay money each time some if your party dies than it's not worth downloading. Additionally there are lots of unclear rules not stated anywhere.
What I don't understand is if your warband wins, but one of your guys gets taken down and he gets robbed. How does that make sense! Why can't I rob other caracters from war bands when i take them out of action?
This game will get no more stars from me until it gets a bit better at matching me up with opponents of my actual skill level. I mean 2-4 attacks to my one per person per round is just stupid and frustrating. Also xp is *far* too low and slowly given that your troops can die in any given battle and don't come back unless you use real money bought currency in the game. 3 stats is generous for how fusterated if found myself so far playing this game, sorry.
Great game! Very Balanced, smooth gameplay, perfect battle sizes for on the go. Probably the best Warhammer Fantasy feel for a mobile game. I will rate 5 stars when you release the Sisters, I usually only play games where I can have female units/avatars.
Great game, love the atmosphere and graphics. The big issue is the fate coins without which you can't really play beyond a certain time. They are way overpriced and there is no option to slowly obtain them for free like many other quality games offer!
The game play stays faithful to the old tabletop game. However, the rate at which you acquire gold and shards is absolutely atrocious. The limited starting gold amount is also much less than the original tabletop game. Also the lack of variety in warbands is very disappointing. It has all the pieces in place to be a wonderful game that could compete with the best, but the whole game feels half-assed.
Controls are a little janky. Was unable to have my guys walk along a 2nd floor because they kept trying to run downstairs. Only 3 factions, all human. Missing alot of pieces that make mordheim what it really is versus this mobile version. With more development time and bug fixes it may eventually be worth playing.
Love it just find it hard to be able to use ranged weapons. And also I can't choose factions. I only have reiks available. I had all to pick from but it said skaven coming soon but now I can't choose any other faction except the one time.
Awesome game. Cant wait for the dlc However why do some of your warband get no experience after a game? Why is it that it is always the same items available in the shop? Not yet had the chance to buy a hochland long rifle yet? And why when i go to the tavern to recruit an 8th member for my warband all that are available are hired swords which cost tokens? Please fix
First game that I wanna pay for. Love you guys! If you could only add graphic settings so it can be played smoothly on lower tier phones it would be perfect. Waiting for skavens!
Very Great it's Mobile! Now please don't make all the new gits paid... make them expensive in gold or make a daily reward system. Also more races and ogres...
Need more! New warbands, new opponents, non player characters (mutants, zombies, skeletons, demons, madmen. AWESOME so far, would pay for full Mordheim setting with all official warbands and stuff. Greetings!
amazing game! just lacking a lot of contents, after 2 days everything looks the same. waiting for new maps, character, race, missione and so on
I'm enjoying it, a shame you can get pitched against higher up rivals, so you don't stand a chance. And it's a shame there aren't alliances and over missions. But I'm really enjoying the strategy side
Awesome so far. long term needs more warbands and battle arenas, maybe a story mode too. only a matter of time before that comes out though. Best GW app I've played so far! Really looking forward to some updates
If you have ever played the tabletop or even City of the Damned on PC don't waste your time. It is so stripped out and basic it is laughable. It is like playing checkers with chess pieces and calling it "mobile chess". It is all there, except it has been gutted for what I can only assume is to appeal to as many people as possible while completely ignoring original fanbase. Fatecoins are an absolute moneygrab.
It brings a squad based strategy to the phone. Most strategy games for the phone are war games or Civ clones, so this is a breath of fresh air.
Permadeath would be ok if new players didn't get one shotted by over geared opponents then have to start again with no mercenaries, gear, or gold.
The game hadn't even started and you were wanting me to purchase something. Immediately uninstall. If you want me to buy something then put a price on the game.
This is a very nice, simple port of the clasic game. I'd love to see more warbands, however it is great for what it is.
Fun game, I love Mordheim! ˆ.ˆ There should be a way to earn the currency to heal your Merc's tho. Daily Quests maybe?
Needs the loading times fixed, urgently. Would also be good to have something to engage the player more. A campaign or more multiplayer perhaps
Wish it was a full price game It is a great adaptation of the tabletop rules. In my opinion it has the potential to be even better than the PC game. Sadly it isn't the case. The in game purchase warbands are way too pricey (and obviously there are too few of them only 2 empire factions). Only if the promised future factions were available in a full priced game or if the bands were far cheaper than this I would recommend it (also would buy each and every one of them). Currently the IAP prices are greedy as hell. Multiplayer would be nice but in that case the current system of paying money for healing the permanent injuries should also go. If there was a multiplayer feature only then i could imagine this price would be reasonable for each warband but even then they would be quite expensive. Yeah these things and extreme load times.
Overall: 4/5 Pros: Customization (this one is spot on) Gameplay (feels like the table top) Visuals (looks good and not overly flashy) Cons: Injuries (not enough status effects to randomize from, too often I get chest wounds and robbed) Robbed Injury (this one bothers me that I'm able to be robbed even on a victory... That needs to be fixed ASAP how the heck can they rob my guy when all my team is alive and they are all dead?) Lore (the lore is pretty good, but reikland isn't known for its archery that's hochland, the lore is a bit wrong and the devs need to read the army books and freshen up on their knowledge of warhammer fantasy) Content (FEELS LIKE THERE IS VERY LITTLE TO THIS GAME need more content!) Tldr: Has some faults but otherwise a really solid free game!
Great game! We need more than three save slots, maybe make one more as you release a new faction? The loading times are a little too long as well.
I don't know maybe you want to make the game more balance i know it really challenge but most of the enemy is too much strong overalls and we got less money too just suggest add some features like something that show how strong of the enemy in this mission because u know i just play for 10 minute and i run into the enemy that have a two bow which is they never miss the shot so :( just make more balance
Great offline game, but in need a few more factions and options for tougher foe
Could definitely use some female characters/mercs, or even the sisters of sigmar.
Game was great till My data was corrupted and my two warbands where deleted Till that point great game just needs other races and cloud save to stop corruption Is there a way u can restore warbands or even the lost fate points damn things are $$$$
A fantastic Mordheim experience that should get even better as more warbands are added in.
I have been playing this game for a couple of hours now and I've got to say I like it so far... money is hard to come by and I have not worked out how to sell surplus gear yet
I loved it give it a try
Extremely long load time, gameplay gets stale and character death seems way too often compared to character injury. End up needing to spend a lot of cash to get your characters back
Just like the table top game. Love it.
I like the game but my data gets erased after like 5 quests so I can't give a 5 star to a game that restarts me after restarting and looking all my progress 5 times

Solid tactical, hurt by very long load times. This is a pretty great game, featuring perma-death and Mordheim-like characters. Posted on forum about crazy long load times (Nexus 6p) and the devs said it was bc of Unity change, so hopefully this gets resolved soon. It's a solid 5* game, pushed to a 4* by loading delay (and w/no loading gauge, it almost feels like it crashed) and several unclear skills. And the way they do Fate pts is an annoying money-grab. But at the core is a fun and solid strategic combat game w/RPG-like advancement and permadeath. Non-human expansions to come, I hear.
