Komodo 8 Chess Engine

Some people are complaining about crashes.You need to open the komodo 8 app and click configure. Stock fish 8 is the strongest chess engine beats komodo 8 most of the times or either draw.

Little bit strong enough to beat stockfish 8 in 1 thread with 16 hash on 30 second game LOL

I am an average chess player and I draw regularly against this chess engine. I don't win, but I draw. Stockfish is much stronger than this. I can't even draw against Stockfish.

I don't know how to use it

Same problem on PC version. In Stockfish you can set the playing strength between 1 and 20. No such option here. Also, Stockfish is free.

Hi team Komodo. The Syzygy files I understand to be endgame files. Are these something in need to download first to use? Or are they part of the app download? I have seen under the Configure komodo button a option stating "use Syzygy" do i simply need to click this in order for the engine to use the endgame tables? Please help. Thank you :)

I Am Having Lenovo K3 note And This app is not working. Don't know why i have installed it then there was something an option named as configure i pressed and another various option appears bt can't find after it even the chess board do not appear. Help on Finding The Solution To It. Moreover I am Havin 6.0 marshmallow for more info so that u can work.

My thanks to the Komodo chess team, your engine is in my view a massive leap in chess engine development. Most engines naturaly play very agresive attacking chess. Komodo is a boa constrictor, it grabs hold of you and slowly crushes you. If you are a positional player - you cannot fail in buying this engine. Finally and engine that thinks and plays in my playing style - perfect for analysing positions in a style that fits me.

It crashes with latest Android version (5.1.1). Instead of releasing a patch to fix the issue they release a new version and ask for us to purchase it yet again. That aside, when it was working the engine was very good.

The first time I couldn't get refunded for something I hated.....thieves!!!

Consistently locks up device when using latest droidfish. Using Android 4.4.4 on Samsung S5. Works fine with other chess GUIs..however consistently looses with big margin to Stockfish 6. Something isn't right.

Cannot beat stockfish 6.I just play it many times against stockfish 6,it lost for a draw only! I expected it to be the best engine thats why i bought this,but it lost against a free engine stockfish 6. Complaint! what is the best GUI i use to beat stockfish 6? or it is need to update and upgrade to beat stockfish 6? I wish it will be updated cause stockfish is always updated!

the komodo 8 cannot beat droidfish stockfish 6. i purchase komodo 8 because i thought it is the best engine that can beat stockfish. but it cannot beat stockfish. only draw. sometimes stockfish win. but komodo don't win. i think komodo 8 needs to be upgrade to komodo 9 so that it can beat stockfish 6.
