This game is a masterpiece. I've paid twice as much for half the content more times than I can count. Great developers who are responsive and passionate about the subject matter. The game play is infinitely entertaining, but if you don't know anything about naval combat, you may struggle a bit to get the hang of it. It's no simulator but you need to know the basics.

Great graphics but the AI needs help. So far, I've played the Battle of the Atlantic about 20 times and the computer never plays the opponent as the historical Navy would. I fight German DD's in the South Atlantic and Brit CV's escort convoys without ASW weapons. Keep up the good work but read a few accounts of the war to improve the combat.

I have always been a huge fan of maritime history, so this game not only fulfills my need for historical accuracy, it makes it fun and interactive as well. Great game, WELL worth it. I've beaten this game on both side numerous times and keep restarting. It's THAT entertaining. Only thing, we need more battleships.

Great graphics, cool battles! And I love that it has historical ships like the, Bismarck, North Carolina, and Sheffield! But I can't believe some people think that a WWII era range finder would be persise. People who complain about the range finders don't play the game for realism, they just see a "big battleship" in icon for the game. And in my opinion their rating shouldn't count.

But seriously its for people with a serious interest in Naval Strategy its not an arcade shoot em up game. Its easier as the Nazis at least at the start, its toughest being the British in the early war years. But i have won as both, so its not impossible. Just rest your head take a break! ????????????

I use miniatures for naval wargames and this plays very much like that. Realistic and largely historically accurate. The Atlantic campaign is very immersive and has a decent "feel" - as the British player you have a year or so of surface actions, then once you've dealt with the German heavy units it's a long hard slog against the U-boats until you can start buying escort carriers. Once you have them the tide turns back in your favour... that's not a bad reflection on the real campaign

I love this game. It's really the only mobile game I play. If I could request one thing it would be Motor Torpedo Boats for both sides. Maybe the Fairmile D and Elco PT boats for Britain/US and the S-100 class for Germany?

This awesome game is worth the money. Just a couple things u need to add and maybe fix. First: can you fix the radar the elevation that it gives me is really inaccurate. Second, can u fix the hs293's? U cant tell when u need to launch them either earlier or later. Third (last), please add online multiplayer so that I can play with my friends

I think this app is incredible. They fixed the only thing I was having an issue with by adding a detail scroll for elevation. A couple of nit picks. Torpedoes, especially German ones reload far too fast and are far too accurate. Another thing, while I understand there are limits to how many ship types can be designed it really pains me to see the "Grand Old Lady" HMS Warspite shown as looking exactly like Valiant and Queen Elizabeth. They were similar but Watspite was really different. Keep up the great work if you haven't already how about designing a really nice bomber game like B-17.

MAKE A FREE ROAM MODE EXACT SAME BUT MOVEMENTS ARE NOT TURN BASED SO IT'S LIKE ONLINE WARSHIPS GAMES BUT U CONTROL ALL SHIPS AND STUFF ADD MORE SHIP VARIANTS.? I guess the same does sort of get boring sometimes wut about pacific fleet? Maybe more destruction effects like splitting in half full if it is allowed or things falling and collapsing that would be make an epic game

B70%
by B####:

The allied torpedoes routinely vere off course, by dramatic amounts. Making it impossible to find your target. The limit of three ships per battle is too constricting. Otherwise it is a fun game. Plenty of challenges.

I'm a huge Battle of the Atlantic nerd ever since I was a small child. I love Great Naval Battles on PC and still play it. These graphics are great; ships roll heavily in stormy weather and groan as they dynamically sink according to buoyancy physics. I wish secondary guns served a purpose. You can only (unrealistically) fire each ship's primary OR secondary guns (not both) once per turn, so of course you always use your main guns. It makes every battleship a bigger, slower cruiser! Wish they'd fix that.

Great pick up and play game, love the physics and sinking gigantic battleships. Can't wait for your next game. It would be cool if the battles were bigger than 3v3 but other than that this game's solid.

I wish they updated Pacific Fleet to the standards of the Atlantic Fleet and made a Great War game, something like High Sees Fleet. Atlantic Fleet is perfect. I wish there was more of the same, but for other wars.

M70%

Fantastic game, and I can't understand some of the comments regarding inaccurate fire due to range finders. It's not supposed to be an exact science, just an aid to help the player make the final decision and after playing for a while it's easy enough. I can regularly score hits on enemies even after they've popped smoke. Very addictive, although wouldn't recommend to those who simply want some arcade naval action. Great improvement on Pacific Fleet.

Game is off when firing at enemy. Radar not accurate. Waste of money buying this app. Too bad. Graphics and controls are great.

T70%

Great game, with good graphics, and turn based play. However, I paid for the full game with a description of no ads. This is a lie. Avoid this game if you don't want ads.

Killer fish killed it again after pacific fleet and this one is so in depth i haven't made it out of training yet very complex not for a base gamer

An extremely detailed turn-based WW2 naval simulation with outstanding graphics and realism. The game requires a squad based mentality as each vessel plays a unique part. In order to fully appreciate the game you need to have an interest in WW2 naval warfare. Those looking for an arcade game will be disappointed. The gun artillery aspect is both challenging and rewarding. One has to remember that the ships are on a dynamic moving plane. A rare gem in mobile gaming.

I'm a huge Battle of the Atlantic nerd ever since I was a small child. I love Great Naval Battles on PC and still play it and other naval warfare sims to this day. This game gives me that vibe and more, on my phone!!! I can be a type VII or type IX U-boat captain, you can captain a destroyer, Flower-class corvette or a battlecruiser or aircraft carrier, everything is in there - land-based airstrikes on both ports and warships, fantastic realistic gunnery and satisfying graphics as ships explode and sink!!!

S70%

Stretches out a 3 move battle into a two hour ordeal. Meanwhile,AI is usually much more accurate so expect one sided, time consuming defeats. Campaign mode way to short and not challenging enough, while battle of the Atlantic mode is to complicated to resupply and repair your ships. Pacific fleet was much better!

N70%
by N####:

Thanks for the update. Now that I lost all progress. No matter how many stars you have or if you are British or German, the range finders are not accurate whatsoever they aren't even close most of the time. You will never get a first time hit whereas the enemy will always get a first time hit. Enemy planes never miss either.

I'm on mission 36 in Campaign Mode as the Brits. I've been on missions by my "land territory" many times and have yet to be able to select "LAND BASED AIRCRAFT." Can someone please tell me what I am missing when attempting to select it? I have reviewed the 'Tutorial' and the downloadable .PDF manual many times and there is no direction on which method I need to perform in order to select "LAND BASED AIRCRAFT" besides being next to land and in my territory because those do not work?!

Custom battle, campaign mode, and battle of the Atlantic all have their own strategies and provide a lot of replayability. Lots of different ships, with their own quirks. For instance, the Graf Spee has two triple 11" turrets, which gives it good firepower, but they are more easily knocked out since there are only two. Also, location is important to take into account, with battles in the North Sea and near the home islands providing air cover, which is very powerful. Lots of realism options to choose from.

G70%

I really like this game, honestly. I've figured out how the AI works (remember folks, not only are enemy ships moving, you are too. Adjust your elevation accordingly), and there is a fair amount of realism in the game. However, I get annoyed seeing the Tommies continuing to use the same ships over and over, despite having that option turned off.

I think it a super cool game and is fun to play! But, I would like to say is that why not instead of making these separate games from Pacific to Atlantic then maybe to Mediterranean that you should make a world wide game maybe calling it World Fleet. I just think it would be better and more fun to play more historical ships and countries to play. Please send a message back if you approve.

S70%
by S####:

The realism is there which I love but then it's not possible to survive the 8 torpedoes ordeals. And also the team should expand the fleet in campaign mode. Thirdly, the main guns and secondary guns. It will be good to make it so that ALL guns can turn individually so that can hit multiple enemies at once. Forthly, allow us players to set the formation of the fleet. Otherwise it's a good game. I'm a fan.

S70%

This game is just nit as playable as its companion Pacific Fleet. If you are into frustration and excessive difficulty, go for it.

Torpedos arm themselves instantly, so submarines can torpedo a destroyer on a depth charge run when it's only a couple of ship lengths away and can't evade. Makes for some very silly tactics.

S70%

Absolutely love this game. Would love to see you update Pacific Fleet to this targeting programming and such. I would actually pay a little additional fee of 4 or 5 dollars. I spend way to much time with these games. hehehe.

Played the lite game and loved it. Purchased this game and wouldn't install. Had plenty of storage on S5. Followed help instructions and still would not install after 8 tries. Too bad, at least got a refund. I figured I'd give it one more try so purchased it again, took of the lite app in case it was causing a conflict and still won't install.

S70%
by S####:

Great game but the developer never replies to polite suggestions for improvements, even if you have the paid-for version. For instance, Scharnhorst did not have 18in armour and the AI should not always stupidly turn towards the player's fleet, even while crossing the player's T.

S70%

Can you please make an option for 40 player ships, less enemy accuracy, and, even though they were never made, please add the montana class battleship. Also a difficulty of normal please. Amazing game, thank you all so much.

Great graphics, cool battles! And I love that it has historical ships like the, Bismarck, North Carolina, and Sheffield! I finally finished the campaign and it was cool! But in the last battle I lost the North Carolina

I would understand in pay-to-win game. But this is not... Vanishing torpedos. Heavy crusiers one-shoted by destroyers. Drunken pilots. Totally crazy rng is a major fault of this game. I really enjoyed Pacific. This one - i really regreat this money spend!!

A.I cheats very bad. I go into battle and every time it's their turn they always get a hit no matter what. And then I can't get my ships back that sink. What happens when I buy a 60,000 renown ship and then it sinks in battle? What am I suppose to do with only 2,000 renown?

Update:I gave up the game on the last level. The player can only ever have 3 ships but the game as many has it wants. So its 3 to 7 on the final game, and it takes ages for the 7 to complete their turn. while mine flashes by.To much time waiting and to little game play. Shame as a great game, if only the player was permitted more ships. Ive lowered the stars I'd originally given the game as it spoilt it more and more with each passing level. Original review:A great game and yes the range finders suck. But if you have a grasp of naval history you will soon switch to a 'ladder' technique and with careful planning the shots strike home beautifully. The graphics for a tablet game are superb and make for an authentic and addictive game. If your seeking an arcade game avoid this, if your seeking a worth while naval game this is excellent. I tend to be a cheap skate and play free games only. But within an hour I happily forked out for the full version.Best £7in a long while.

My 1 complaint is that ship movement is was say off ballance. If you want me to enjoy the game then level the competition more fairly. Also my complaint 1.2 is either lower the $ of ships or pay off more.

NEWBIES! Move your binoculars and aim at opposing ship, Select RADAR . You should get 'ESTIMATION' on elevation. TIP: radar is generally on target so for the first shot aim 0.2 points less if target is in close proximity. Get a feel. REMEMBER smaller caliber shells travel faster but are weaker. BIGGER caliber shells do more damage but are heavier and require slightly more adjustment on elevation. LASTLY use physics. The closer you get to opponent drop your elevation, dump a smoke to disarray AI radar
