Rule with an Iron Fish is an awesome game if you're looking for a casual game with great graphics and light RPG/collecting mechanics. The dialog in game as well as item descriptions are lighthearted and fun, the music is nice and the gameplay is very relaxing. It's perfect for playing in short bursts since there's tons of side quests or you could binge play it if that's more your style. Also it's a one time purchase with no in app purchases which for the price listed it's definitely worth it.

I really enjoyed this game. The art is very beautiful, the fish are fun to catch and often silly, and the light and silly nature of the characters and story are great! I would recommend it as a quick and fun game to occupy your time for a weekend. It is flawed though, it's very short, it relies too much on an RNG formula instead of offering more options involving skill, and the dialog often feels random, often not making any sense at all. Still, it's very fun and I think anyone could enjoy it!

There was a time when games had heart and soul put into them. Back when games didnt sell because they had the words "mine" or "craft" in the name. Back when idle games were nonexistant and games that required 3 days for an upgrade were things of nightmares. This game reminds me of those days. Truely a diamond in the rough.

So much more than meets the eye, as you go through the game it opens up so much cool gameplay! I upped my rating because the game just gets so much better as you play! Update.. lowered a star because no cloud saving. So disappointed.

Wonderfully charming game. Its greatest strengths are the beautiful art design and quirky characters. If you want to relax and enjoy a few laughs, this game is perfect. The only downside is the uninspired, repetitive gameplay. Nevertheless, i enjoyed a dozen hours of it. Very worth it, highly recommended.

Gameplay is very fitting for mobile, progression is satisfying, but the core game-loop has little variety. Dialogue, bestiary text, and overall flavor are just fantastic, my personal favorite part, but the design kinda encourages you to skip through a lot of that to get to more fishing and grinding. Would love to see it iterated upon!

FIX THE SWIPE CONTROLS! I've lost out on over three-quarters of my rare catches because the swipes don't register a majority of the time. It's ruining an otherwise great game.

This game is surprisingly hilarious! The game play is simple but so addictive! The side quests are great and main quests don't take loads of time to accomplish. The characters are memorable and the interactions are fun! Excellent work!

I bought this game, because people said that there was a lot of stuff to do in the game, but I have yet seen this to be true. You fish, and you complete tasks. With that said, maybe I'm not far enough. I'm not saying its a bad game. I'm on the fourth Island though.

Downswipe often doesn't work when fishing near the bottom of the screen, which is frustrating when you've got a rare hooked since it essentially has a 25% chance to get away because of it.

It's very repetitive. Couldn't get all the way through it. I only played it as much as I did to try and just finish it, not because I was enjoying myself.

This game is infinitely better than a "free" game. It is fun, great graphics, quickly addictive, and other then the cost of the game, there are no hidden fees. My new favorite game!!!!

While I'm normally a fan of big beefy strategy titles, mobile platforms are better suited to something quick. Rule with an Iron Fish fits well onto smaller time slots, letting you catch a fish or twenty depending on how long you have. Absence of additional micro transactions past purchase is nice.
