Kemono Mahjong for Android
This is the first Mahjong game I'd purchased for Android and I love it. It's really good fun. The tutorials were also really good for learning the game and improving. The AI is good and will sometimes take you by surprise.
Thanks for teaching me! Along with nice graphics and a warm and friendly competition, the game also has a great guide.
It's a good time killer. You can also learn how to play with this app.
Great little mahjong game with an amusing theme, and a lot of solid options.
There's a quintillion mahjong programs out there but out of the ones that don't expect you know how to play even those usually keep instructions to a manual or in-game tutorial. You can actually get GOOD at mahjong through this game. Also it's adorbs.
It's a really fun game even though I'm bad at it. Sometimes I can't claim a tile that would let me win, or my hand appears to be a winning hand but I'm forced to discard anyways. I'm sure it's because there's some rule that I don't realize that's preventing me from winning, but I don't understand what it is. Also, I am experiencing an issue where upon a round ending the characters will sometime be replaced by other characters mid-game. It is very strange but not game-breaking.
There was a great job done on this, do love burning off downtime with these handy little tiles. I know I can get better too. Worth the sum of money and more.
This is the mahjong game I've been waiting for. This is perfect for beginners. Some hand holding sure but this will last for a while.
I finally understand how to play mahjong thanks to this game.
Very cute and accurate to the gameplay I love.
Nice app! Any plans to implement 赤ドラ??
Great artstyle, smooth gameplay, very well designed overall and a worthwhile purchase for any mahjong fan!
If you have never played mahjong, this game is a great teaching tool. The AI is simple but the game has the features to help you sort out how to play and interpret riichi mahjong. Worth it!
It's a fun and cute game. Really good for learning how to play mahjong
I'm an experienced mahjong player and was looking for an app that I could recommend to my friends to help them practice. The fact that this app has a solid tutorial and a list of yaku that can be pulled up during games makes this perfect for players who are still learning the game. The score breakdown at the end of each hand is clear and should help less experienced players practice scoring hands. I have enjoyed this app very much and have already recommended it to my friends. This game gets better and better with each update, and I'm looking forward to more in the future.
This app was incredibly helpful. I've only just started playing, but it's really helped me in understanding how the game works.
Great app for Riichi Mahjong, exactly what I needed. And the AI is better than other apps I've tried, highly recommended.
If you're interested in riichi style mahjong, it's hard to go wrong with this! Cute characters help too. If I could advise improvements, would like to see when you use Japanese terms (chi, kan, pon) it would replace the (chow, kong, pung) in the various yaku listings and such - right now, they only affect the in game calls. Still, two thumbs up!
I previously had complaints, but a recent update has addressed them. By far functionally the best mahjong app available. I can easily ignore my dislike for the Furry aesthetic with how consistently wonderful the playability is.
This is a cute a fun game. I picked up on it right away. I have issues occassionally choosing the wrong tiles, but that might be more my fingers and less this app.
Love the graphics! Very good gameplay and function. Only quibble I've got is that you should be able to declare kan while in riichi if it doesn't affect your wait.
This is a great game for anyone trying to get into the game of mahjong. The tutorials are well written and the character art is done so well it feels more like a visual nicer than a basic explication. The breakdown of scoring at the end of a round is incredibly helpful too so that you can learn from rounds as they go by. I don't know if the AI will offer challenges to intermediate or advanced players since there seems to be no setting for that at this time, but I haven't won yet :p The app has room to grow and become even better, but this might be one of the most polished indie 1.0 releases I've gotten my hands on. It is absolutely worth the price of admission to learn how to play in a solid and aesthetically pleasing package!
Nice and relaxing
Fantastic Japanese mahjong app. Runs very smoothly and with a clean and sleek interface. Lots of personality although a bit cheesy. Proper tutorials and guides. Would suggest adding variations for rules such as Chinese rules. Best mahjong app for an English speaking audience
Great Mahjong app with smooth interface and enjoyable gameplay. Great for honing your strategy without time pressure from real players.
I still have a lot to learn, but I'm picking it up pretty quick. Definitely a good tool for teaching mahjong.
The flat-out best English language riichi-style mahjong game! You can always access a list of yaku (scoring conditions necessary to win a hand), and all the yaku in a winnijg hand are underlined and tappable. This makes learning the yaku easy and intuitive. Tutorials are as brief as possible and well-written. I'd recommend this app to EVERYONE--beginners and seasoned players alike. If you watched Akagi, Saki, or other mahjong anime, this is the best way to start playing.
This is great! I've never played anything online remotely close to this and it's super cute.
Solid mahjong game that's very approachable for beginners. The tutorials are much appreciated, and the interface is snappy and easy-to-use. My only suggestion is that an indicator for when the player is furiten could be nice, especially for beginners like myself.
Love the UI being stacked rather than trying to cram a mahjong table onto my little screen. Love the art, tutorials, and in-game reference page. I'd prefer the buttons to be further from my tiles though. Occasionally, I'll hit discard on accident when selecting a tile. Likewise, the ignore button is in the same place as the discard button, so I've once tapped ignore, didn't know if it registered, tried to tap it again, but it became the discard button when it came back to my turn, causing me to discard a tile on accident. A bug I run into often is after a game ends, the button to go back seems to be hidden so all I see is the board with no option to exit. Another bug I found after installing was going through the yaku tutorial, then starting a new game, the board was empty and no tiles would deal. I wasn't able to reproduce it afterwards so maybe it only occurs after installation (Nexus 5X Android 7.1.2). In the future I wish for more features like a campaign/tournament mode, varying ai difficulties, faster speed gameplay, and auto riichi discarding. At the moment, I think the only things better than Maujong are the art, UI idea, and tutorials/reference. That said, I enjoy the game and hope it succeeds! Something I'm curious about is the decision to order the players so the turns go from bottom to top rather than top to bottom. Starting the game, I assumed it would be top to bottom, but maybe you have a good reason?
Great app all around, has really taught me to play and now when playing with friends in real life I can sometimes beat them
Been waiting for this to come out for s while, and I'm delighted with it so far! Thanks for making me wanna learn mahjong!
A great way to learn how to play Japanese Mahjong, tutorials are great and the AI seems really well coded.
Decidedly solid implementation of Mahjongg
Without a doubt the best game to introduce beginners to the world of riichi mahjong
Great tutorial for beginners to the game, and adorable characters to boot!
It'll be alright
There seems to be an issue with the scoring. I had self drawn a hand which with a concealed kong. There ought to be 3 concealed pungs in the hand, but that yaku was not accounted for. Would appreciate if this bug could be fixed.

Great game for a beginner. I knew nothing about riichi mahjong before playing this but just after finishing the tutorial I feel like I understand all of the basics.
