In order to get a combo you need to match up at least 3 birds and then repeat the same action:
3 x 3 x 3 x….. 4 x 4 x 4 x…... 5 x 5 x 5 x …..etc.
Useful advice: You need to match at least 3 birds to get points, if you touch just 2 of them they will disappear and empty the space they occupied before, but without giving you any points.
Warning: If you touch in a place where no matching birds are, you will lose 50 points.

Nothing to explain what to do? After playing level 1 over and over I came to the reviews to see if there was something maybe I was missing. I see now it's just a crappy game from all the poor reviews. Deleting.

The idea is to match 3 or more birds. App Needs some kind of points for 2 bird match...finally made it to level 3...got all the points yet can't pass the level. you also need to add a help button... something to explain HOW TO PLAY... and something that says the goal for each level at beginning of each level. Not sure if I'll keep it or not yet.
