If you enjoy playing Canasta then avoid this, it will frustrate you to the point that you won't want to play the game any more. The AI opponents play the absolute shortest possible hand regardless of their 'difficulty' rating, thereby forcing you to do the same in order to get any points. This strategy reduces the game to simple luck-of-the-draw to see whether you'll get the necessary wildcard to complete a mixed canasta and go out before the opponents do, so strips any enjoyment from it.

Out of 1,826 i won 16% of the games. The cheating in this game is ridiculous , i have finally got tired of trying to win a losing battle. Im deleting the game, the only good thing bout it is you dont have to pay anything to play. Very disappointingly game, i love canasta

Going out concealed every time??? Every single time I play with the computer, the computer opponent, on 1 star difficulty, goes out concealed within a couple turns. I'll have a pair or two, but the computer was able to make a canasta within a few turns?? Don't enjoy playing with the computer like I used to.

I love playing cards. This is absolutely the best I have ever played on my smartphone. I play the 2-man game because the partner on the 4-man game is very inept. I could hardly win on 4, but 2 challenges me and if a stupid move is made, it is my fault. would recommend it to anyone who loves cards.

So, I've put the opposition AI down one notch and now I can't lose! The difference between just one difficulty rating is enormous. I'm not sure if that means the deals aren't truly random or not, but I'm getting much more wild cards near the start than before. Still a worthwhile game to have though :)

Had to look up that a "canasta" meant 7 cards matched and that you can't do runs like 3456 but all the matches had to be the same number. 7 of the same number is a canasta. Other than the explanation of the rules being a little on the weak side... this is a fun game I could play while I work

I hate that my partner doesn't lay down until he can go out. The only reason you can go out, is because I laid down!! If you laid down, I could go out too!!

The game is great, however when you play as a single player, with both setting turned up for both your partner, and opponent, your partner always holds cards, or discards cards needed to win the game. Please review this and fix it. There's nothing more frustrating than losing because your AI partner is dumb

I like canasta but never get to play with friends anymore. So happy to be able to play on my tablet! Settings on the game make it easy and fun ,just like real life. Love it,its my favorite game!

So I have been playing this game for a while now. I have played approx 1000 games against the computer. If you want a game where the higher the difficulty rating means the more the game stacks the deck and gives a computer partner that is increasingly incompetent this is the game for you. Red thres are given to the comp 75 percent of hands. The computer knows what you have in your hand. Your partner gives the pile most of the time especially after laying down. When you need 120 meld points there isn't a wild card to be found. I could go on and on and on.

Very good game. The difficulty system isn't great - choosing lower or higher stars has quite a random effect, and your partner can be quite dumb. However, it's still very good.

This is a good game. But your main opposition is your partner. Never puts any cards down until its too late Thus missing out getting Canasta's.

the game has a glitch! multiple times in the beginning of the round the discard pile starts frozen when there is no wild card in the pile! have searched through settings and made sure that isnt affecting the game! only thing i have an issue with so far still the best canasta app though!

Like relearning how to play Canasta, but its hard to tell where on the table to place the baskets. Also hard to tell which team is red & which green. Needs an Undo button for times when you think you tapped on the playing field, but ended up hitting discard because it is so close together.

I love the game and the gameplay, but the skill levels in single player mode don't appear to change the level of play at all leaving it not a good game for beginners... i recommend it o friends to help them learn to play better and it totally turned them off the game... So I dug into it and found my cpu partner will hold melds too long and not play wild cards effectively even with 5 stars and opponents play very well including locking the discard pile with wild cards with only one star with scores like cpu getting 3000+ to human getting -500... It would be nice to control the level of play better...

Easy to play the game and graphics are good, but the coding is terrible. It's funny every time you have a great hand and meld 1000+ points...the next had the computer does the same and goes out before you get a chance and the computer partner makes terrible decisions all the time...and yes thats even with the setting set where the partner has more stars than the opponent.

So enjoy being able to play offline and work with settings that let me challenge myself. This app is built so well that my elderly mother is able to use it, and she doesn't even use email. Highly recommend this.

One sided games ,you slaughter your opponents or you get slaughtered, red threes 2 sometimes 3 in a row ,I've never seen that any where but here, not much fun one sided,at least the games don't last that long,

Essentially if you have your partner set to 5 stars and the computer set to 3 stars, you will not win. At 2 stars in this scenario you will win 67% of the time. I play it often as it is a quick pastime. For a free game it does the job.

Forget about winning a hand against the computer. Seems to be aware of what's in my hand Never discards a card I can use. Too frustrating to be fun!

Their other games are okay, but Canasta is horrible. Your partner is playing for to other team. The pile will have 15, 20 or more cards and your partner will throw a card they already have a set of, so they just pick it up. They have went out when my partner has done that and he has one or more black threes in his hand. Why does he not use them? The next time you freeze the pile. Your partner will just throw down random cards until they finally pickup the pile. Again they have went out and I find my partner is again hoarding black threes or has cards in sets they have down with 5 or 6 cards in that they would not be able pick up. I also believe the player before me knows what I have in my hand. He has an uncanny ability to discard one of the few cards I can not pick up over and over again. My partner on the other hand seems to also never want to pickup the pile even when it is obvious he could. They have discarded a king when there is a good pile of cards including one or more kings and he will draw and then meld 4 kings and a wild card. About the only time he will pickup is when it lets him go out. I wish I would have not wasted my money getting rid of the ads. I also agree with other reviewers in spite of the company's reply itherwise. The deals are not random. When you get to 120 meld, wild cards are rare and jokers are the rarest, but time and again the other team goes down with a single set, two jokers and two face cards or aces. Funny they consistently get two jokers and I am shocked to get one when you are one 120 meld.

The game already knows your hand and only throws down what you cant pick up and deals itself red 3's, has unfair advantage

If the opponents knew how to play it might not be so bad, but they hold all there cards even though they have enough to go on board.

Great Game, use to play on yahoo games, this is just like it. Only thing is this you could make your own rooms and invite who you want like yahoo games.

I have been playing this game for months. I think it's odd that the computer always gets more wild cards than me. Would rate it higher if it gets fixed.

So fun. My man watches TV or plays video games and we are still together hanging out having fun

Game play is rigged in some way. The way that the cards are drawn and the advantage that is given to the higher ranked players is not realistic. Some players have an unfair advantage. Algorithm is not coded properly.

Good game however pretty sure in a real game of canasta play continues after the stock pile has been used as long as the next player can pick up from the diacard pile. However the game will just end it automatically after the stock pile has been finished.

The controls on this game are horrible. Nothing is clear about how to join a game or play one. You constantly get booted off tables.

It cheats! Time after time it goes out without having laid down one set of cards!

I love playing canasta but i don't know very many people who know how to play it. Now I don't have to look for someone who can play it. I love that.

Love the game but only rated it a 4 due to poor partner play even though I chose a 5 star partner. This is a great way to learn how to play Canasta!

The playing partner you get is freaking awful.

Should add more players, the versus 1 isn't as good as multiplayer forget it

Good AI for single player games. Straightforward and intuitive gameplay make playing the game easy. I have played Canasta all my life and am enjoying this app.

Not bad but you are the only player to pick up from the discard pile so you can throw out any card and your rival will not pick it up

If you're interested in live on-line play make sure you have plenty of time to kill ~ SO Slow!

I enjoy canasta and have no one to play with. N This way I can play all I want
