As a kid I loved this game more than any other. This is an excellent port of that game. The graphics are improved. The story and characters are the same. The music is the same and most importantly, the missions feel the same. Cinemaware lives on. Happy days. There are a few bugs. Mike Maestro is immortal, dying and returning. The person below you shares your rank. The game ends with a black screen ... It's still a great game.

Would give 5 stars however the game has some very annoying bugs that have all been previously listed by others but I don't think the makers give a crap as the same bugs have been there for over a year and still no patch so 3 STARS for having to pay money for a game that the makers don't care what we think.

Amiga 500 reminds us simplicity can still be the backbone of gameplay. There is a remastered version and and emulated version. You need a stick/pad for this game. Its very old school, not for those looking for complex and clever games. But for those that haven't jumped in the cockpit since this game faded...its been given a new lease of life. Better framerates mean the old frustration of low frames meaning low accuracy are much improved. Its the perfect game for an hours blast each night before you go to your long winded, all night game of Warcraft or whatever

Completed a mission then black screen with music playing apart from that ruining it a few missions in I'd have loved it

Gents you've done a great job in this game. This is one of the best games that had a real thought provoking storyline.. any chance you could bring It came from the desert to life?

I loved the original as a kid and this has done it justice by far, very impressed! Thanks for doing this!

It's not the original, but it is still a little gem!

A great enhancement to a classic game.

Excellent remake of the game I played the most on my Amiga 500 back in the days. Probably the first game that triggered an emotional response towards a fictional virtual character. Two things could be fixed. First, the controls feel sluggish at times during straffing runs. Second, I confirm what other reviewers have been saying: no AA fire during balloon busting missions. Overall, a perfect trip down memory lane with today's technology. We want more Cinemaware!

I thing this game is great. can't put it down is has the charm of the old version but.... get to around 38% on the save (level 70) and it crashes after every mission so you need to save and then reboot the phone. should not have to do this for a game you've paid for. so anoyed so save your money.

Wish they would fix the control problem, have to hold it upside down in order to play at all

Finish a mission then blank screen? WTF EH? need to exit game to start it again! PATHETIC

S70%

If you fail a mission, the developers make sure you feel terrible at it. To the point I almost feel like I'm being verbally abused by the game. It also really sucks that if you die or fail a mission the whole game resets. Another thing is that the game is pre calibrated with no calibrate option in game. You are a slave to the pre calibrated position and it is impossible to use the game of you are lying down. Very bad game but it has potential. Give me checkpoints dude

The controls are so BAD! Both styles are terrible. Refunded.

It's like being a kid again on my Amiga! Great graphics, a massive improvement on the original. Few bugs though, like no AA fire in balloon busting missions, and the dead seems to miraculously resurrect. Other than that, a good solid game that will keep me occupied for hours

K70%

Loving it. Keeps crashing so stuck on level 30something, train strafing mission (HTC one m7), but hopefully will patch soon. Better than the old Amiga version, love it.

It's good but, you have a lot of bugs. For example, there's no sound effects when mission starts. PLEASE FIX!

Z70%

Kalypso Media doesn't sell you down the river like herocraft and other developers! A fun, challenging game/history lesson without ridiculous iap!!! You ROCK!!! KALYPSO MEDIA!!! Please make a follow-up WWII game! Seriously, you guys RULE!!!

O70%
by O####:

Awesome game, and thanks for bringing a classic into the 21st century! Now glitches.. balloon busting missions don't have AA fire. Sometimes music plays, sometimes it doesn't. I get promoted, then stay the previous rank. Then get promoted twice in 3 missions. Ground detail is poor low down. My wingman can't shoot down balloons. Fix bugs= 5 stars!

The game is great fun and takes me back to my youth, but there a number of bugs and a few bits missing e.g. No archy fire in the baloon busting missions

If you enjoyed playing this on the Amiga 500, then you will love this. A few bugs in the game stop it from being a five star rating.
