Taxonomy - Animal Quiz is an app where a ROOK is not a chess piece, MERLIN is not a magical person and an OREO is not a cookie.
Test your animal vocabulary while also learning!
There are two ways to play: Classic and Challenge Mode.
Classic:
There are four levels and 120 stages to complete. Your only goal is to match the animal with its corresponding classification.
Challenge:
Try to earn as many points as you can before running out of lives! Complete some levels in Classic Mode to unlock this feature. This mode is also timed.
Share your scores and achievements with your friends!

This game sucks. If I could give it zero stars I would.This game doesn't teach anything. Is was created by some stay at home creationist mom who wanted to teach her kids the difference between a bird and a reptile. This game addresses only one of the seven levels of taxonomy. Sure it throws species names around, but it uses common name which ends in something like bird. Hmm I wonder if a bird is a reptile? Nope, gotta be a fish. Ugh.

I'm good at taxonomy to begin with and it is annoying to me to have to go through the easy questions first before getting to serious questions. A good addition would be an initial level that determines your skill level and opens up that difficulty.

Overall, a great app. Very fun, informative & in depth. With a great layout & easy to navigate menus, no bugs & adds are not too intrusive. In terms of gameplay this is just wonderful. The concept is exactly what I was looking for. I adore animals & biology & this game not only provides me with new knowledge but is addictively fun. I would recommend this for animal & biology enthusiasts as it may not interest others. The best animal classification sort of app that I could find. Great app!
