About slow thinking trainer

The slow thinking trainer helps you training the slow thinking part of your brain. The slow thinking part is responsible for all tasks that require your full attention like solving math equations, working on a complicated puzzle or learning a lot of material in your class.

Nobel laureate Daniel Kahneman outlined two different systems in our brain called the fast and the slow thinking system. In his book [1] he outlines a very simple method to specifically train this slow thinking part of your brain. You simply take four numbers at random and add 1 to each number in a steady rhythm. This requires your full concentration and should help you in improving your focus for other mental tasks.

With the new version you can now also compete against other players from around the world, by comparing your score every day with other players.

Crashes as soon as you try to play

I'm just reading Thinking Fast and Slow. To match the Add1 task described in the book it would be better if the number is shown and then the player needs to press done before entering the result. This way the player needs to remember the already calculated results which makes the exercise extemely effortful. A nice addition would be to add pupil size tracking!

It was working on my previous android 5.11. Now the marshmellow, not working

Doesn't work (well) on my Kyocera Rise. (EDIT: They made some changes) If you use the Swype keyboard (or any non-standard probly) it won't take the numbers. Also it cuts off part of the screen so you can't tell whether you're getting them right or not until very end. And you can guarantee getting the first 2 or 3 wrong because the time starts running before the popup keyboard appears. I changed it from one ★ to two but it is still more aggravation than education.

I was thinking of writing something like this myself but I'm glad someone beat me to it. The app is basic, a little buggy, but it does what it says and works great. No premissions required! huge plus. thanks a bunch!

Doesn't work on my Kyocera rise. There's no help screen so I can't tell if I'm doing it wrong but I can't get it to take the numbers. If I put it in landscape so I can use the pull-out keyboard then the numbers don't display on the screen. But even using thePop-up kbd in portrait it doesn't advance to the next digit so you have to tap on the screen space to advance it but if your off just a hair it won't go so you have to stop and look to see if the cursor moves and now the timers run out. waste of time
