Pull out the tray with the box you opened with small key. Open the box. Push the tray back with the box remained open. You will see the magnet from the MIRROR.

Use the magnet on the third brick which is counted from the brick marked with symbol x in the another chamber of the basement. That is what the hint mean. Hope my answer can solve your problem.
