Iron Marines for Android
Great game, and with native support for wide aspect ratio. The only negative point is the controls, instead of a swipe, i would rather tap to select a unit ( or group), and tap at where i want them to go. Right now, it takes a bit of time to adapt, but i got used to it. The in app purchases are similar to kingdom rush games, and you can totally ignore them. Overall, a great game.
Great game, except there is one part of the game features list that is a little misleading. It says that the game features include "9 Heroes with outstanding powers at your command." As of right now, only three heroes are free and the others you have to pay to unlock.
Really disappointed with this one in comparison to the other games from this excellent developer. None of the little surprises of the other games and not enough level variety. All gets a bit samey
I knew this was going to be good,I wasn't disappointed.I do hope we don't have to pay for the third world when it's made.Update.....i have dropped this down a star as you have no shame.....£92...for a bunch of credits...calling them 'best value'....are you not embarrassed?
Great game play, controls, music and all that. Reminds somewhat of starcraft :) first mobile RTS game I enjoy. If anything negative at all it would be that the heroes aren't that well balanced
So, it isn't like their previous releases. That's fine. But it also took about two hours to beat. Also, all the fun heroes are behind pay walls. So not a great investment for the cost.
I paid $6 for a game with ads. I assumed they would be more like the other in game ads for the KR games or heroes that show in the beginning and that's it. Nope they've bundled full-screen video ads for Final Fantasy and Angry Birds just like other free to play games out there... except I paid for this thing up front. In fact it was more then the KR games. I have free to play games that are less bold with the ads. For example Eternium. I own every other Kingdom Rush game and have bought heroes in each one as a tip system to help support Ironhide, but this game pisses me off. The odds of them getting any more money from me has skyrocketed downwards. While I regret buying this, I'm far more saddened by what's happened to a great game studio.
If you love Kinvdom Rush, just spend 1 beer's worth of cash and buy this right now.
Great game I finished the whole game in less than a week I just need more now !
Shat'ra too weak to be playable. Other than that, great game.
Amazing work by iron hide as usual. Well worth the money. Best in genre for sure, just like kingdom rush.
Great game! Worth the $5 and awesome graphics and gameplay. Nice Job Ironhide :D
Crashes a lot on huawei p10
Great game.. if u like red alert or starcraft get this... very happy with the game
It's a brilliant game, can't wait for more levels.
Best rts game on mobile !
Great game!
Fun stuff.
Its cool
Unlike most of the "strategy" games on Google Play, this one is the real thing. As a huge fan of both Kingdom Rush and old school RTS games like Command & Conquer this game was a real treat for me. Thank you Ironhide Studios for crafting a true RTS when so many of us have been waiting for it. All I could ask for is a skirmish mode to extend the replay value. Hopefully you have one in the works. The production value shines here and the gameplay is fantastic. Buy this game!
Another great Ironhide game, great gameplay and very polished. I purchased this off the strength of thier Kingdom Rush series which I really enjoyed. One glaring issue for me - the campaign is so short, I completed it in one evening. More levels and replayability would make this a 5 star game.
Big fan of all 3 kingdom rushes (have it on android and pc as well. I played all at least a couple of times). The standard, and by far the best, Tower defense there is. So i had to try this one right? It is very different from TD but it brings the same kind of addictive gameplay. I like that Ironhide tried something else for a change! 5/5. Having said that, i am looking forward for a new kingdom rush as well :)
Absolutely the best mobile RTS out there! You get bases (multiple per map) set defenses spawn multiple fighters with different abilities (range, melee, ground, and air). You can even swap out their abilities per class as you're fighting/moving around the map. There is a big skill tree to unlock to power up your stuff. Tons of stuff to do. Absolutely amazing. THANK YOU Ironhide!
I think it is very strange that I've paid for the game at a premium, and yet I'm still expected to pay more to unlock all the content. Seems very greedy. Other than that, this is a very fun game and an excellent RTS for mobile. Well done. Edit: So it turns out that the IAP heroes are occasionally released as bundles. That go back be a regular thing? Heroes going on sale?
Finished the game in a week. No more missions. Can't imagine why people are talking about hours of infinite fun. It was a few hours of fun and might be again someday whenever they make new missions. But understand...finish two worlds and your game's over. It wasn't hard. And playing the same 15 missions on a hard setting just won't do it. Disappointed after a fun start.
Fantastic job Ironhide! This game is fun, even better now that the black screen issue has been resolved. I loved the Kingdom Rush series, (I've been playing since the days of Flash before the iOS version,) but this is a perfect break from the tower defense style!
Love everything so far. They managed to adapt RTS controls to the mobile platform elegantly. My only complaint so far is that I wish it launched with a 3rd world. I would also would love to see a staple of the RTS genre make it's way to the game, skirmish battles.
This wonderful game reminds me of a PC game called infested planet which are both as equally fun and challenging at the same time. I love the heroes of this game and you can actually get by with this game without buying other heroes with actual money but if and when you do buy one, you'll start to enjoy the game over again because each heroes got their own specials and personalities.
Not quite as good as the Kingdom TD series but certainly a long and fun game. A dip into the Sci Fi universe is welcome too, who doesn't love guns and aliens? Still, disappointed with the IAP's. Hero units aren't necessary but are unnecessarily expensive. The two in-game currencies for upgrades and consumables are available as IAP's and you gain a decent amount by playing anyway. Enjoyable and fun with levels that can be short enough to complete on a break or commute.
Graphics and game play are near perfect. The controls feel surprisingly good except for one thing. The inability to move multiple squads at once sometimes feels tedious. A multiplayer and skirmish mode would increase the longevity of this game from a few hours of fun to near infinite fun.
The game is challenging even on casual yet very addicting. The graphics are fun, pleasant and vibrant. Controls are fine and gameplay is very interesting but fun also. The tiny details and easter eggs in the game that I barely even noticed are very nice touch too. It's a very unique game and probably the best RTS game for mobile. I'd say it's worth the wait and money.
Everything is good except one big (for me personally) issue, there are no stats! I don't know how much HP my hero or troops or enemy has, I don't know how much damage they do, all I see are effects and HP bars with no numbers, can't stand games without such info. But other than that, great game.
Not sure what to say... The demand on the battery is heavy. The game is beautiful. I can see and feel all the care & love that was poured into this game. There is a good balance and pace so far (at the last stage world 1). I'll be amending this review in the weeks to come.
I have been a long time fan of Ironhide Games and played all the kingdom rush games, and I have to say this doesn't fall short of them. It's new and different but just as good of a game. The only thing I would add to the game is a guide to all the enemies, building, units, etc. Other than that great game worth the money!
Ironhide has done it again. Ever since the first Kingdom Rush game, I wondered how well Ironhide Games would do if they were to ever try their hand in the *REAL* RTS genre. When this game was announced I was afraid at the same time excited they decided to give it a go. I played the game I loved the game. This mobile version of the game does make it easier for those on phone but I'm sure if this ever comes out on PC we have finally found a free worth it Starcraft 2, people. Now what I want to see is an RTS version of Kingdom Rush. Thanks for the game, Ironhide! Best of luck for your next entry!
Gameplay great only wish there were more mission (I do know that there is more coming). I don't have a problem with there being heroes that you can buy because that's always been a thing in your games but the one thing that dose make me angry is that there is know way to unlock these hero's in game at all not even if you complete every level on every difficult.
Absolutely love this game, I've beaten it on impossible mode and it'd still very satisfying game. The only thing is I wish it had some kind of skirmish mode or something, the same few levels get a little old after a while. Can't wait for the next planet to unlock.
It's all great, 5/5 on most criteria, I just wish it had more levels and some online mode (not exactly PvP) a few balance changes and more levels would do it for me but since it's pretty new, I think they might just do that. Many people are too harsh and judge the game as if there isn't more to come, there is (A LOT)
It's a nice and good game with a new concept, but i think you have to change the control a little bit. When I move i can't attack, make a new control like attack move or when I move and i choose the enemy that i want to attack, the order to attack the enemy deny the control to move

This is an amazing game, the graphics, music and SFX are on point. Gameplay is challenging, and requires actual thought(unlike some mobile games). The game is well balanced, and the free heroes can be used as effectively as the paid ones. Well worth the money. And just understand, yes there is in app purchases, but this is a small team, they need to pay their bills somehow. And nobody likes ads. The in app purchases are not forced, and only shown if you want them.
