Kids Learn to Read for Android
Kids love it.
Most of the games are fun and teach phonics in a fun way. The keys in the rocket game are slow to respond and sometimes my son ends up " losing" even though he had correct answers as he runs out of time. Wish you'd add a game where the toad could play on some of the toys the child builds, as it'd be a nice "reward" as opposed to just collecting toys in the garage/ yard but not " playing with" them. A good phonics game and I appreciate that no adds for shooter games or other inappropriate content pops up, so it's safe for a 4 year old.
My son Mason loves this game.
Excellent...My daughter loves it and is learning also!
Kids love it.
Awesome
This is a good app for PK-K. I have been using this with my 4 year old for about a year now and it has helped in teaching her phonics. However, the new updated version has a new "hand helper" that gives the answer before the child has any time to figure it out on their own. That new "hand helper" really ruined the reading challenge that I loved about it. If they would take that out then I would give it 5 stars.
The game is helping my 3yr old learn words but the challenge is lost when the hint hand appears before she can even look at the whole screen. Could you put a hint option on this so she can try to do it in her own? I think she'd like it much more if she were challenged while learning instead of having it answered for her. This way the child/parents can choose how to play. This would make the game an awesome learning tool. Thank you.
This used to be a nice app, but now they have peppered it with Christian religious symbols (wreaths and xmas trees, etc.) rather than winter themes (snowmen, sledding, etc.), and there are no settings to avoid this, so we will uninstall it. In addition, there is no way to exit the app without restarting the phone.
My 5y.o. loved it but quickly completed it as it is very well set up with incentive of building the various toys but not so challenging. How about adding a more challenging level with the next set of letter sounds such as oo, ao, ch, sh etc...? Otherwise brilliant and thankfully free!. Thanks
The game where you rotate the bo8cks stopped working with the Christmas update. The blocks no longer appear. Android 4. Lovely game otherwise, just rating here to let the devs know of the problem.
One of the best learning apps.
Really good
App works nice and is a good idea in general but the finger helper comes too quickly so kids don't have much time to think for themselves. It also cannot be disabled. The short vowels are over pronounced, this error hurts the app a lot!!
My daughter has struggled with reading and phonics a lot and we paid for ABC mouse and the school gave us web sites. These games have helped so much! The difference is huge, totally worth the money!
The app works great! The rumors from other reviews here about paying more than $2.99 for this app are simply not true. Intellijoy is very honest with their customers
Nice graphics and music. Very high quality. Awesome learn and play activities. As for greedy persons who want all stuff for free - the best fish swim near the bottom.
I have paid for full version on this app and when i changed to a new phone it wants me to pay for the full amount..can you please help me with..thanks
Beautiful graphics, interesting activities, high quality app! My brother loves this game. Thanks to developers for a great app
This is really fun because it teaches me how to read I love this.
Love this...thanks for creating such a great phonics app.
Love love IT
Best apps for kids learning how to read
Love it
Loved it
good
Fun
I paid to upgrade the free app and less than a month later my payment became a "credit" toward a monthly subscription or $21 lifetime membership. The game cannot be used unless I pay again. This kind of dishonest business practice ensures I'll never buy another Intellijoy product - rather I'd like my money back, since the product I purchased was taken back. It's a crowded marketplace with lots of choices. My advice - don't throw your money away.
I have paid 3 times now for the full version and it only stays unlocked for 3 days, enough for my Toddler to get really hooked on this game then it locks the levels and I have to pay again. It's either a scam or very poorly designed program
Really good
Makes reading and spelling so much easier for my 4 year old. Love it. Goes good w/ extra learning from DVD leap frog Word Factory. But this is hands on fun.
It's hard to keep my five years old's attention when it comes to reading, so this game and characters help him to stay connected. I'm very satisfied with the phonics. I read a dissatisfied review that mentioned how quick their kids were done with game. My son *when guessing* can finish any learning app quickly. If the parent is involved and encouraging, this app will help a child to read. But no they may not learn to read if you just hand them the phone and let them do it alone.
Purchase the app...my son play it already...now the app just show loading when pressed...pls advise
My son went through all levels on the first day, and crashed on the second. Waist of money...
Please add more levels. Same levels are repeating.
Education
It took my son less than 15 minutes to complete all of the activities and he is just starting to learn how to read. I would like a refund, even though it was cheap. I would just expect a paid app would have more than 10 minutes worth.
Great start to getting my four year old daughter to read. Very happy. Looking forward to new reading apps when available. I would just advise parents to have patience when your child is starting to learn to read.
And she's learning at the same time

I bought this for my 5 year old after using the free trial for for about a month. My son really liked it so I decided to upgrade to the full version. I highly recommend this app for children under 6 (or under 5 if your child is more advanced) as older kids will probably get bored with it. It has 6 different very interactive games. Every time a game is completed the child earns a part to make a toy to put in the garage. After completing the 6 games the toy will be complete and the child gets to pick a new toy to assemble. There are about 10 different toys to pick from. Like I said, my son loves it! However, I found it a little disappointing to find out there is only one level to this game. My son has completed all toys about a dozen times and the vocabulary does not appear to increase. He keeps doing the same words over and over. I would gladly give it 5 stars if it had different levels with an increased vocabulary to really make it attractive for children older than 5.
