Sorcery! for Android
I thought of the concept of the game was really great. But in the end it was incredibly short. I do not understand why it is not just one game instead of four pieces that you have to individually Buy. Yes I could play this app over and over and hit different things but in the end nothing really happened. It was just the very beginning of the story.
The good reviews are if you got it for free, not worth buying at all. Very short. Also the results of your actions are pretty much random, there aren't any clues to what will result from your actions.
I got this free and it is one of the best mobile games I have ever played. It was just difficult enough to be challenging, but not frustrating. I had a feeling of accomplishment when I finished the game. It took me about three hours. All of the features worked well, including rewind, which some people had a problem with, according to other reviews. Looks like the dev updated it recently and it is now (6-4-17) being offered free, as part 4 of the series is out now. I did decide to purchase the next one (Sorcery! 2). Reviewers said that was longer. If you can get Sorcery! free, great. If not, try for a sale, unless $5 for a three hour mobile game is ok for you.
Short game, but well done. I got the game for free (sale) so no complaints there. But if I had paid 5 bucks for it I would have been angry, because the game was completed so quickly, and it would cost 15 more dollars to complete the story. (Each add-on is currently 5 bucks)
Downloaded book 1 for free. Finished in 2h. Feels more like a chapter rather than a full game. $5 per book is overpriced. You can find better and longer games for less. I enjoy the short game play, but will not buying the remaining books.
I got it for free and its a good game. The story telling is really good. Combat and magic are different, but not hard to learn. Overall 4 stars. However, if I had bought this for the original $4.99 I would be a bit upset. It is just too short for that price. I went through the entire game in just over 2 hours, even with going back and picking different paths. $5 for 2 hours of entertainment and only a fraction of the full game. [[Enter dlc/full game complaint here]] Overall for if having bought 2 stars.
This is actually the weakest of the four games and it's still excellent! Why this series is not one of the top selling apps on the play store is hard to understand. It's disgusting that this game only has 50k downloads and the latest pay to click clone gets millions... BTW if anyone from inkle reads this, you really should be giving this game out for free as a demo for parts 2 - 4
A very good fantasy game. The only thing that I really did not like is the magic system, but I understand the limitation imposed by the cyoa format. Reccomended.
The game is very short for such an expensive app. I was looking forward to several hours of game play but even after examining many alternative paths and exploring all options I found the experience short lived. It's a good idea but a bit meager in what is offered.
Excellent story and graphics that hooked me to this genre of games. The only bad thing was its episodic nature And the high cost of each episode.
The fighting and magic system is confusing. Everything has weird names. Graphics are plain. Glad I didn't pay for this. It was interesting for the few minutes that I played it.
Feels like playing pen and paper RPG. It's so fun and intense! And every choice makes you wonder what will happen if you take the other ones.
It is a good game but it is short nd simply serves as a tease since you have to pay $5 for each subsequent part of the story which are probably just as short. Rather infuriating
One of the most engaging title ive played in recent years. Everything feels so polished and professional. Art, Magic and music. Ofc Story too but that we already know how great Fighting Fantasy novels are.
I love the spell book, the magic casting is very unique and interesting. I wish the other books are made free later on, I'd love to play them. However, I think this should have been longer, it only took 3 hours to finish.
The gameplay is absolutely fantastic, keeping away from completionism in favor of replayability. It makes no choices feel incorrect, and yet the choices feel like they matter at the same time, giving it a realistic role-playing feel. The price is not justified though, considering it feels to be only the size of a demo, intending that you buy the other parts making it cost even more than you were expecting. I would say it is not worth the price, but will at least be quite enjoyable the amount you do get to play, even if it is unfulfilling because of the demo like ending. The programming probably needs work, as I believe it overheated my phone and caused it to randomly restart (though my progress was completely safe) and drains a lot of battery. I still will easily give it 4 stars because of how fantastic it's good qualities are though.
This game is WAY too short. If you pay above $0.05 you're basically getting robbed.
Amazing game but be warned. You can finish it in about an hour. For $5 I'm not sure if that is worth it.
Not very good, illustrations aren't too great and choices don't seem to do much to the outcome of the story
Not bad, way short and not worth $5. Get it free or on sale. Probably won't play the others as it is way too much for as short as it is.
Loved this game, to be truthful. It's fun, it's different, pretty rad. Don't like that's is so short. TOTALLY not worth $5 for something that short.
Extremely short. Only worth it if it was free. This is basically a tutorial for the rest of the series. Game ends as soon as it gets going. I was thinking about buying the rest, but if they're also this short, there's not worth $5 each.
Great game. One of the few I happily play again and again.
I used to own these books!! The adaptation to digital gameplay is amazing. Thank you.
Good but way too short. It's like 3 hours :-(
It's an OK game. Enjoyed the old school feel to it, but it's terribly short. For free - I guess that's OK, but it's really not a full game, it's just one part of four. I certainly didn't like it enough to drop $15 on the remaining parts. But try it, maybe you will.
I don't usually play this type of game and when I died on the second day of the journey, I couldn't restart the game. Uninstalled!
One of the best mobile games I have ever played. Thank you so much for this amazing experience!
One of the best android games without a doubt.
Too short, waste of time
Like tge old choose your own adventure books with the added flair of battle.
The best of its kind and one of the best Android Games I've ever played
This is perfect!
Story is interesting, game play is unique
Very cool.
Great game!
Amazing! Thanks devs!
Incredible!
Nice game... but far too short. All 4 versions make up part of one game, not four. If the four parts were made into one game with one price this would be a very good android game... but again... at present it is far too short and over priced for an android game. Great concept though.

Loved this game! I will definitely be picking up the rest of the series. This game is short, but it saves your progress from one game to the next, so I could definitely see myself replaying this game later on to get myself a really good start for the sequels. The high quality of the writing and graphics makes a great game experience. Quality over quantity for certain. Perfect for the working man.
