To understand what to expect, read the game description that is very accurate and to the point. It was a nice pass-time for me while commuting. The dark design obstructs the gameplay especially when playing outdoors. I also had trouble when repetitive accurate jumps, while moving forward, were needed; blame my wide area thumb pressing(?!?). The design crew has a great sense of humour; would definitely enjoy a couple of beers with them. I had some good laughs, triggered by design elements here and there in the game, without spoiling the dark mystery atmosphere. Finished the game and I am expecting to check out a next release.

I have had to repeat the same levels numerous times. When hitting the jump controls they don't respond. Not on any of my devices. That being said, i love the game! The graphics and story are wonderful, but the controls need to be fixed.

At first I thought it was just gonna be another passing game that I would lose interest in,gee I was wrong! I love how the story builds up, the puzzles and the background music. I loved the cave level and how it gave that dark eerieness to it especially with the creatures. And I love the last level where it shows back in time some of the past famous names and to see the character,Vigo's filmmaking a success. I really got into it last night and really enjoyed it so much! I also like how the game is challenging in a good way and not the "it's too difficult that I'm gonna uninstall it" kind of challenge. The gameplay almost reminds me of some of the Nintendo 64 games I played as a kid like the lion king, pitfall and porky pig's haunted holiday! :-) Aside from the control jump button and a little bit of text misspells , you guys did an awesome job with this! Worth installing the game!!

It is a really cool game, you can load and save your game anytime you want...its dark and mysterious and very addictive! Also very soothing if you ask me and very few ads. Not to mention that the music and sounds are very satisfying. I would recommend installing.

Game looked interesting and it seemed to have good graphics. However, I cannot see anything. You have to look close to the screen to see where you are supposed to jump or pick up a box. Also controlls have to be practically memorized as the incons are unreadable. As I can barely see the screen it is just an inconvenience to read signs containing long, dragging paragraphs. Not impressed.

The game is so hard at first but as you play on it, you'll find out that it trains you for the harder levels. Interesting story, cool graphics and the music blends perfectly to each other. Wish they will make more games like this!

I likes it overall and would recommend it. A few issues include the following. The jumping and action can be tricky on a touch screen versus a separate control pad with physical buttons. My fingers would block part of the screen and sometimes the jump would not respond well. While the visual style is striking, it was difficult to see for those of us with declining eyesight. Perhaps have an optional setting with higher contrast and zooming for designed to assist those with low vision. Overall, well designed.

Unique and fun! Unfortunately, it's only 1 "story" and when u finish there aren't anymore levels. Suggestion: read the storybook before u fight the final battle with the Director. I hadn't read the last couple pages yet and chose not to read the last page I collected, until I had read the others, but I wasn't able to go back and do this (except for every page but the last one), unless I replayed the last level to get the last page again! You should be able to read the entire story if you've won the game!

It's awesome. Once I start playing I can't stop. And the story is so fascinating. Just when you think something is going to happen it switches on you. And slowly everything pieces together! And the music is so perfect. The story of Vigo music reminds me of mad father. And when you go into the caves and such it really sets the mood. Beautifully done! You all are probably one of my favorite game companies.

Although the game was pretty cool through stage 9 that's how long I played I felt like every stage had me jumping through hoops. I got past the monster that spits green goo to the monster that spits blue fireballs and had enough. I wish it was more straight forward and didn't glitch. I encountered a few glitches.

Really fun, not too many adds, no additional purchases. Overall a very enjoyable experience. I almost never add a review but thought this game deserved it. Would recommend 100%. Hope you bring out more games like this!

I love it so much! Downloaded it and played the first few levels without wifi to test it and the app runs perfectly. The plotline, graphics, and puzzles are all amazing as well. Five stars for sure from me :)

First game ive beat&completed! I LOVED this game..so cool. It took me to a whole other place mentally. I 100% recommend everyone gives it a shot and plays it. You will be instantly hooked!!????????????

I never review games, but this is clean and beautiful. It's a little eerie and a lot fun. No ads, no micro transactions, no weird promotions. It could use spell check occasionally, but otherwise, it's absolutely lovely. I was sad when it was over!

I really liked this game. I played it all through the end, but I was a bit disappointed it ended so fast...I was expecting more levels. The controls are ok, and I liked that if you carry something, then you don't jump as high or move as fast (that was a nice touch). Also I liked the background, graphics and little jokes here and there :)

This is a terribly designed app. After closing it (not exiting, closing) it managed to stay functional in the background, play music, and access my internet over 200 times in one night while I slept. Not what I signed up for and it's a mediocre game at best. Don't download this app

1.Cinematics are kinda slow , for eg. That dot puzzle cinematic kinda waste time. I know it seems like a little problem but most people want to play and finish the game as fast as possible.........2. There should be an auto save each time we complete the film. Besides all these the game is fun to play, music is good, and the theme is also nice touch. Lastly the game crashed on my phone as I was about to complete Level 6 which btw I spend around 30mins to complete.

This has been one of the better games I'VE had the pleasure of finding. The style, story line and feel of this challenging game are spooky and unique. There are a few grammatical errors which indicate that the creators are not native english speakers; even so, these errors only served to endear the makers and their game. I only wish that the game had been longer!! That is not a criticism. It' just that i enjoyed it so much, i didnt want it to end... spectacular job, you guys.

This game looks really cool in black and white, and it's very creepy in a good way. There's not much action, all you do is pick up three pieces of film in each level while activating certain objects. The biggest annoyance with this game is it when you die, you have to restart at the beginning of the level. I have restarted level 6 about 15 or 20 times and I am rapidly becoming bored with it. There's not enough action to justify restarting that many times.

Good little platform game. Simple gameplay and really nice hand drawn artwork with obvious affection for cinema, including nods to film history spanning from 138 years ago up to the events of this year. Impressive for a two person team, well done. People complaining about checkpoints don't seem to realize you can save anywhere you want.

I really love it. It has every thing I want in a game. Beautiful art, smooth game, user friendly, topped by marvelous Gothic and steam punk theme most of all, ad free but it's kinda short. Finished it in one day. Make more games please! You are now one of my favorite game company and hats off to you, you adorable programmer/s you.

I really loved this game. The graphics, the atmosphere, the music and sound effects, the story... it was all amazing. The only two complains I have are: sometimes the adds would pop at the beginning of the game while I was jumping for instance (though I have to say it didn't have that many adds which was nice) and it was too short (not really a complain but I was really expecting more). I ended the game in one day and really but really loved it. I recommend :)

The theme is superb and the ending too. I just loved the monochrome and the graphics with flashy contrasts. I played it till the end.

Love the dark atmosphere of the game. Is a good one to kill a couple of hours with, even if I did find myself dying a fair amount.

Having to start the entire level all over again every single time u make a mistake is SUPER FRUSTRATING! Makes me not want to even bother! Fix that & I'd reinstall.

One of the best free games I have played so far...the artworks and level designs are amazing, the background music is also worth mentioning. Wish there were a few more levels with increased difficulty. A solid five star any day!

I actually really like this game. I find it fun and entertaining and the story is intriguing. One thing I would like to see is check points or lives. There is nothing more annoying than getting through all the puzzles and then starting the whole level over because you fell down a hole.

"It's OK" is a good description for this game in my opinion. Some ratings seem to praise the music and sound effects, personally I could barely stand the two seconds loops that are the music or the noises that are reused for different types of enemies. Gameplay is very repetitive and the level design has a lot of forced and useless backtracking, probably in attempt to pad the game and make it longer.

Overall the game play was nice. The story flowed nicely and it wasn't too frustrating or difficult. It took me a while to realise checkpoints weren't a thing and instead the game relied on manual saving throughout. Also the jump button is sometimes unresponsive and the English in some of the dialogue could be improved, I enjoyed playing and enjoyed learning about the story throughout each level.

I completed the whole game in one day and I must say the graphics, the whole theme of a simple yet complicated story line, not to mention the intended innocent hints and puns...everything was at once mysteriously haunting. Although the game gets slow between stages ( that are well designed except after going to another level you can't select the previous one). However it can use a bit more difficulty and more mysteries...maybe in-level stages and goals? That would definitely make it the best.

By playing through the game your emotions somehow get involved in the drama. Causes that feeling of desperation just to get out of the film reality. Loved the dark atmosphere and has a great gameplay and story. To make things short, this game is a masterpiece! I hope to see a second part.

It's beautiful but the controls are so bad that I just can't play it.No enjoyment at all.Plus, if you are going to write the game in English then at least have some respect and hire a native professional translator - DREADFUL GRAMMAR!!! If you just fix the controls it would be better...playable at least...Full marks for design...it's gorgeous...

This game is just perfect! The details, the music, the story and the gameplay everything is on point! Got hooked on so quickly that I finished it in a day! Hope more games of this genre will come out.

Game was good, loved the black and white graphics, had some hard moments, but you can do it if you take your time and think. Only thing was the very end after the fight it was very corny. But overall game was good.

I am now at level 3 only though writing review as I have already impressed at this level. Pros- 1. Nice story telling, screenplay, 2. Gray scale visuals, 3. Excellent background music, 4. Ad free. Cons- 1. No check points, autosave, 2. Low contrast, painful for long playing, 3. Black and white is feeling monotonous sometimes.

Not a bad game, enjoyed the graphical style and puzzles but the narrative (what little there is) has awful spelling and just makes it feel like the 'story' was an after thought. Still enjoyable though for free
