Categories Word Game

As others have said, there should be a way to appeal an opponent marking your answer wrong. Just because they haven't heard of something does not mean your answer is wrong. There's also no msg system. I suppose people could abuse that feature, but it might be a way to quell the rampant cheating and/or ignorance of some players. There's also no way to block players. I wish I could contact the game's designers, as well. **EDIT (3/7/16) I've been having a LOT of connection issues with the game lately.

Needs a buzz or something...I would give it four stars if there were no ads forcible opening Internet and playstore and I would give it five stars of there was a buzz or nudge button to remind players it's their turn.

Had the game for a few hours, made some plays but haven't had anybody play their turns. I have over 10 games on the go and it seems like either nobody is playing or this game doesn't work...

I enjoy the game, but: I am unable to see what the opponent marked right or wrong. All of mine are Losers. I have no idea what they are accepting and not accepting. There is only a couple avatars that I can choose. The majority said it wasn't available for my level. I can't see a leader board. I play with the same 2-3 players because the "random opponent" pick people that hasn't played for over a year. I don't know how to find other active players.

Waiting for the random opponent to correct takes long. And when they are completed, the game sometimes won't show me the score. Frustrating

Constantly pops up with message saying it's unable to connect, there is about an hour window a day that I can actually play. There is no way to challenge corrections. This game could be fun but the problems outweigh the positives.

The game is fine. But the constant "pop-up" ads every 2 minutes that take me out of the game and into the Play Store is ridiculous.

I would love to give it 4 or 5 stars but it's constantly saying connection failed try again. Maybe if it stopped doing that I will re rate.

I would like a suggestion to block users you don't want to be paired with so that they don't show up when you select to play random users * I lowered my rating as there is no way to communicate with players who mark your answers incorrectly. I marked a players answer to something yellow (kite) as correct, thinking they did that because of the bird. After doing so my score came back and I got points off for using kite as something that flies.. just an example of how annoying it can be

It would be great if there was a way to improve the correction feature. I've noticed people using the same word on the same card 2 - 3 times, which I thought according to the rules it should be counted as an incorrect. It would be great if we could somehow leave comments if needed. Also, one category asked for a TV game show, the 2 other players said Friends & Family Guy. That should've been an incorrect, but they got the points. Please add a way to dispute someone with unfair corrections.

If more people joined, it would be even more fun! I'm afraid the ads are rather off-putting. They are why 4 rather than 5 stars.

I really enjoyed playing this for 3 days...but now it will not let me. It just keeps saying Connection Failed... Please fix!! I enjoyed this game

Started out fine, now it won't connect. So I can't play it anymore... I've tried uninstalling and re installing and still won't connect. Also keeps closing down now.

I was actually enjoying the game until I kept getting the connection Error and no matter what I do it won't reset itself... please fix this!

The same exact cards constantly show up every few rounds with the exact same questions. Even worse, when I get a card I've already had, I also get the SAME letter as last time. Poor programming, game gets boring once you cycle through the only 8-10 sets of cards that seem to exist with the same letter.

I played the game earlier today with a friend, then took a break. I accept a game 2 hours later through my notifications bar, but app won't open. Says Connection failed. Try again later. It's been saying that for 5 hours now. I've Uninstalled and installed the game several times and when I try to login, it just says the same thing??

I enjoy the game but you get the same cards repeatedly would be nice to see some new categories. Also it annoys me that you have to wait 3 days to delete a game that someone is not responding. Sometimes people don't give proper answers which can be annoying but I still enjoy the game for the most part.

I hate when people dont know a word yet they mark it wrong, there should be a way to check it out to verify it. Also if I misspelled a word by accident why is it wrong especially in a timed game its easy to get flustered. Overall this is a great game but it seems like there are a lot of bad players who don't play fairly because of lack of knowledge or just want to cheat.

It's fun but instead of the game rating people's honesty, we should be the ones to do that cause the game doesn't rate them quick enough, I'm still waiting. And this one girl has given me all zeros on every single answer a few times now. Her name is maliciuos. Spelled wrong on purpose. I shoulda known she was a cheater by the name. The game keeps putting me against her.

Half the time the app doesn't stay open, especially if you're trying to multitask. Right before I uninstalled, I played a game where obviously my opponent and I had been given different letters. What?! There are rarely any players, so you wait forever to play a game. The ads, especially now, are so annoying. Open up a web browser! Then you try to return to the app and it's broken. User submitted categories should be reviewed, since half don't make sense. Good idea, terrible execution. Fed up; uninstalled.

I love the game. It's one of my favs. But ads keep taking me to the playstore. While I'm playing a round! Fix it.

I just found this game. It is by far one of my favorite games to play with my family. But all day today every time I go to play it says that the connection failed. P.S I tried logging in again and the server is not connecting. I would spend money on this app but if they can't even fix the free version then I am not going to risk it. PSS I lowered my rating to one start because it never works and the ads take over. I can't play it like this.

Maybe having am option to find online players or something would be nice. Im having a hard time getting random opponents to play and when I start new games its the same person :-( would LOVE the game if I could play it more :-)

This game is so fun and done so well by the developers. However, I get connection failed error like 90% of the time. I know its not just me as I've asked others and they are all getting the same error. It's a shame as this should be a 4 star app at least but I can rarely even play it as it never works

Brings me back to my childhood days. But don't like that there is a premium version

There needs to be a way to report players for malicious scoring ie cheating. There is a flawed system to check for two or more player games ( which never end anyways) but no system for the far more common one player game.

I just wish people played faster. Also some of the categories are a little hard.

How do you report a player as dishonest? I understand this is only a game but there are some who blatantly do not accept perfectly legitimate answers. Frustrating! Also, an ad here and there is ok, but please turn OFF the sound and remove the ads which force you to sit there for 30 seconds, thereby preventing you from exiting the screen until the ad is done.

I really like and enjoy playing this game, but one thing that annoys me is the problem with not being able to correct your opponent when the answer you have was actually correct and they gave it as incorrect. Another minor thing is the problem with correcting all of the answers: when you give your opponent a R but forget to put yours in R as well, you get the message to check all of the answers. There should be a better error message telling you to check this, or maybe pointing which answers are not ready.

How come my answers are always an empty box under repeated.. And really lets put the first letter on every question Cause we r dumb good god.

I liked it a lot and nice not to have to carry a board game around. My family all download the game and we played for hours. Not great when you play with strangers. They tend to start a game and not finish or completely grade my answers wrong so they would win and that got real annoying considering it happens more times than not. I wish they would also use more letters in the alphabet. I've played about 30 times with the same 5 letters.

Love the game. It just needs more of a variety of categories, not the same ones all the time. Also, i do not think that the game uses all the letters in the alphabet.

Good game but the ads are absolutely ridiculous. They'll just randomly open in the middle of a timed game sometimes. Plus you're relying on other peoples knowledge and honesty for a fair game. There should be a way to communicate with opponents and recorrect stuff if necessary.

It takes forever to get the correction back. I'm still at the first round and have been waiting for hours. I've tried to leave the game but can't do it for 3 days after the last round is played. What a joke! Players should pay attention and not start a game then leave every other players hanging while they go and do whatever else.

Fun way to flex your linguistic muscles. Only downside is the poor grammar and spelling in some of the categories and instructions.
