Hearkenwold (IceBlink RPG)

Fun game! I play TTRPG's, and this one is simple enough for smartphone, and is designed well. Once you get over the level 1 hump, it becomes pretty easy. I wish there were more spells to choose from! And I wish I could fight Rorn! Bug+SPOILERS: The djinni cavern- I walk out the cave entrance and the djinn is released from the lamp. I chose experience, and I got it, but afterwards, I could no longer leave the cave. I could move onto the square, but it wouldn't move into a new map. I had to start a new game.

As the developer mentions, this is not a finished game. Keeping that in mind, this is the best of the games I have played on the IceBlink engine. Multiple characters, towns, enemies, dungeons; you play with what you create. There are some alternate paths to the same goals. When finished this would definitely be worth some money, try it now while it is still free.

Pretty much my favourite game I've downloaded. Unfortunately i cannot seem to progress further. I am supposed to head south of Khyn but i cannot. I've done everything else talked to everyone else and I dont know how to get around this. Maybe Im missing something or if the game is not finished, but i sure would like to play the rest

I do love this game. Its super fun. A little buggy and hard at times. But overall a really fun game. Im stuck at a part now where I can't find Kelton manot at all. Dont know if im missing it or what

Gameplay is Solid. Story is good. VERY FUN overall. Ugly Graphics though are making it hard for me to keep going. It seems like the terrain and graphics could easily be swapped out for something cleaner. Given the possibilities there is no reason for things to be so blurry unless it was intentional. If it is intentional please reconsider?

This is fun but the plot glitches are annoying. If you choose the wrong way or sometimes the right way the triggers fail. Doors or entrances become inoperable.. Dialogue normally available at certain stages fails. It's too bad. This is a ringer for pool of raidance and curse of the azure bonds. The c64 emulator sucks and this was a more stable functional alternative. I'd pay for a completed version.

Old school goodness. Quasi-DnD rpg elements for character customization and game mechanics are good. I seem to have hit the end of the available content and it makes me sad. All signs of a great game.

An entertaining game, to be sure, but how has no one else noticed the character pictures? Seriously. One is Judge Frollo, another is Sturm Brightblade! You may want to work on that...

Fun fun game. But there's a bug after you do the instruments quest and you goto back to the bars and tell her the instruments belong to someone else and she gives them up instead of paying the 1000g for them you can keep doing that quest for 10 exp over and over I leveled up my guys 3 levels non stop there... lol I can't find the trolls I need to get the crown. There's also a cave I can not go into by the tavern. But great game so far

Good concept, but suffers with mysteriously lucky opponents, when your entire party can be beaten to death by a single mage who's out of magic and none of your party are held, the mage isn't protected against weapons yet every attack misses... You know something is badly wrong.

It is a great game and takes me back to the 16-bit D&D games such as Pool of Radiance and Dungeon hack, especially since they are using skins from them. The goblins use the skins of the orcs from Pool of Radiance and the bugbear lords use the skins from the bugbears of Dungeon Hack. It is really a throw back for me and I really appreciate the effort put into this game. If there was one thing I would change I would add a map to navigate by.

I like most things about game but i cant find my way around well and lose track of quest areas :-/

I went looking for Pool of Radiance, and found this. Closest I've come in a mobile app so far. The story is unfinished and just stopped - I simply couldn't continue at one point. But I really enjoyed it up until then.

It's a good game, the only reason I'm rating a bit low is because it has a few bugs and a number of, "This is clearly a pathway but lolnope." moments.

It is rather short, but I had a good time. Took me back to those old SSI AD&D games.

Enjoyable rpg with easy mechanics. Only issue I had was I have no idea where there is anybody to add to the party. the game is still playable solo so far.

So full of flavor and so classic, well done! There isn't much content, and no indication that the parts that aren't finished aren't done, which is a little frustrating.

I'm a bit confused. I just started, and on the players guide or says that clerics can equip a short sword. I have s short sword in my inventory, and the item description, where it says who can equip it, it doesn't list cleric. Also, when I go to equip a weapon to my cleric, it doesn't list a short sword to the list of weapons I can equip.

Exactly what i was hoping it would be. Haven't played it much but had fun so far. Especially like the fact that you can create your entire squad right away

This game takes me back to the ole SSI games of the 1990s....not an easy game, but very fun!

The story is great, you have a nice sense of progression, the world and the monsters are very well crafted. Only problems i have: quest log not really working ans the game is too short. Because of the reasons above and the fact that it costs 0$ AND it does not annoy you with adds i give it a well deserved 5 stars

Was loving this game ...until something happened! Now, when I get into combat, only 2 of my characters work! And, there seems to be content not finished or not working correctly. Rorn the Black instance for example. Really disappointed because it was a blast up till tonight when this happened.

Pretty cool so far, just started playn. But cant equip armor to any of my created characters. Maybe a glitch with created characters? Please help as my characters are dying quick while trying to fight in the buff LOL. More open-ended and less story-driven than Bree Arts' other entries, this game has a very similar feel to Spidersoft's "Exile" trilogy for early Windows. Very fun story-light party-based RPG.

been playing for 3 days, I've finished the main quest before kelton manor, I can't fight the troll king for some reason, nor the giant bugbears that want his head, there's no south wall yet, is there something you gain from the urn? also choosing the option to give peace to the dead? does praying for a miracle actually raise the dead? AMAZING GAME!!! PLEASE GIVE ME ANSWERS T_T

This is a great style of game for fantasy role players and adventure seekers. It reminds me of pool of radiance in the combat sense. It seems a little buggy and incomplete but still gave it 5 stars for the challenge and hopefully the cliffhanger. I've heard we might see more of this awesome game in the future. Will it still be free?

This game has a lot going for it, but at it's current state it doesn't seem to function too well. Quests don't seem to activate in the log save for the initial quest that is given to you. Paths that lead to invisible walls that are clearly meant to be an area transition, doors that don't do anything, inconsisten sprite art, and no map are some of the issues that the game currently has but will probably be fixed some time later.

I really enjoyed playing through the story and starting to explore so much that I was almost getting lost. It took me two attempts because my first party sucked but that was all part of the game. It was very frustrating at the end to not be told that I'd completed all of the current content. I wasn't aware it was a work in progress and ran around for hours at the end trying to figure out what was next.

A classic game where u can create your 6 member party.looted encounters are minimal.One thing i am disappppointed maybe the encounters are pretty fixed which means not random encounters and you cannot farm at repeated encounters. So leveling is pretty hard. And also when fighting u cannot view the remaining hit points lwft on the screen. No point looking at the ac?These ar the minius points otehr than that its pretty good.

Playing and I've started with no gear for some reason? Is that how it's supposed to be? Also I've got a character bleeding out and there isn't an option to stop it, I healed one with a minor heal spell and I was hoping my SP would regenerate before he bled out but that isn't going to happen by the looks of it and there's no out of combat bandage wound so I'm stuck watching my char die, is this how you intended it? Is the game just a disposable hero game?

I don't know what else to do. I've talked to everyone. How do I do more than fight the fairy? I've gone through all the cliffs and caves I could find. Where do I go after the tavern? How do I get to the mageland? I've talked to everyone. This game is excellent. I really enjoy it! I just want to keep playing. As a work in progress have I reached the end? I am level 5.

I feel like I've finished the goblin mission. I found their little cave lair and defeated them but I still can't tell the commander. Is there something I need to do in the plagued town also?

Been looking for Gold Box imitations on iTunes & Google Play forever... This gets you there!! Good stuff! Only issue is, it is a ongoing creation so my party can't advance any further at this point... but I'm looking forward to updates!
